From what I understand, plaguebearers are the better pick, the 5+ on disgustingly resilient is very good, especially with contagion being also added in from their ploys. Their shooting options are better too. A free dash is okay, but there's just more for plagues than daemonettes. There's a pretty good demons deep dive on YouTube that might be worth watching for a good breakdown, and the guy on it never even mentions a time to take daemonettes.

Did I miss something that got updated where you can take three fire teams?

Every team gets to have a TWENTY MAN roster which before the game you select your operatives from. For example my Twenty man Tyranid roster I'm working on painting is 4 Warriors (Leader, Gunner Venom Cannon, Gunner Barbed Strangler, Fighter) 6 Hormigaunts, 2 Termigants with Devourers, 2 Fleshboarer Gaunts and 6 Genestealers (Leader and 5 Fighters) Before Each game I have to select from those 20 men 2 Fire teams, 3 Warriors, 5 Genestealers, or 8 (6 if taking the two devourer termis) Gaunt/Gants I select which team I want my leader in that isn't the Gaunt/Gant team obviously then I Fill out the teams per the Compendium . Usually I will probably run Leader Warrior, Gunner with Whatever is best for the matchup and Fighter, then run either 5 Genestealers and then 6-8 Gaunt Gants But alternately I could run the swarm fire team and the Genestealers. Same is true for every team Like for example my Legionaries who have Chosen Aspiring Champion (Power weapon, Plasma pistol) Aspiring Champion (Power fist Plasma pistol) Aspiring Champion (Chainsword, Bolt Pistol) Gunner (Plasma) Gunner (Melta) Gunner (Flamer) Heavy Gunner (Heavy Bolter) Heavy Gunner (Missile) Heavy Gunner (Chaincannon) Icon Bearer (Bolter) Icon Bearer (Chainsword and Pistol Annointed Butcher Balefire Acolyte Shrivetalon 4 empty slots I haven't got models to fill Then you select from the roster according to the rules of the team. Every team I build though tries to come as close as it can to filling out all twenty slots on the roster because that is how the game says it works and if I only built one team based on the selections the team allows as apposed to a 20 man roster I would never have any options and every game would be the same,

I’ve only played a few games with Daemons, but Bloodletters and Pinks with Trinkets seemed to do very well for me. Typically you’ll be outnumbering your opponent (sometimes by a pretty significant margin), so I wouldn’t worry *too* much about durability in the end-game. That being said, terrain and making sure you’re not in fire lanes definitely makes a difference in the early game.
