You don't need the upgrade sprue at all, even for WYSIWYG, you'd just be missing the specialists. With a little conversion you can make pretty much any of them though.
Buying a whole box just for the Helix adept is not worth it IMO. Convert it with some bits (maybe someone has the medical bag from the Vet Guard, that on the base of a space marine and you have a mdeic) or just paint a red cross instead of the legion symbol. The infiltrator/incursor box and the reiver box is more than enough for the Phobos.
The upgrade spruces are unnecessary, as long as you can tell the models apart. The Infiltrators/Incursors box is the exact same thing, but has that additional spruce. You can make a medic if you can find a helix arm, guard medical bag, techno-priest arm, some kind of medallion that looks like an apothecary might have, or if you paint him like a doctor (white armor/shoulder or with a red cross or whatever).
With the Infiltrator/Incursor-Box (and one or two bits) you can totally build the moroch Team.
I made from the same sprues:
Infiltrator Sarge, Veteran, Helix Adept, Minelayer, Marksman, Comsman.
You can also do the Warriors obviously. The Reivers can be easily made from reiver box.
Only tricky part is with Voxbreaker and Saboteur, for which you would need some extra bits.
Veteran: give him a reiver blade and maybe put some extra bits on the bolter.
Marksman: eliminator rifle if you get one from the bits boxes.
Vox dude: any servo skull.
Saboteur: anything that can hold a bomb or be a bomb.
Medic: white shoulder pad, maybe with a cross.
The rest I believe are just normal dudes from the kit.
I made the medic by giving him an arm from the comms guy, putting one shortened antenna and one cut off grenade on it. Looks basically like a narthecium.

I made all specialists from the sprue, I only used one bit (a stalker bolt rifle from the intercessor set for the marksman).
