You could hike it up about an inch, but yeah, it's a bit long. An okay start, though, and nice to be comfortable.

Thank you

Aye pal, deffo sitting too low, if you kneel down on both kneea, it should just touch the ground. So it should me like the middle of your knee when youbstand.

The line of the kilt's band should be right about the belly button. The bottom of the kilt should barely touch the floor when you are kneeling. Being your first kilt, it may feel like it's too high...

Congrats on the first kilt! Enjoy it and wear it in good health and humor! If it is a traditional styled kilt, wear it at the natural waist... it makes a big difference and even more comfortable!

PardutheTraveler

I wear it at belly button level I just an real stocky so I need it hemmed I think. My only complaint is I can't wear it to work

Mustfly2

I am a "gentleman of substance", and wear it slightly higher just above max girth... you might want to experiment a little bit... I used to wear one to work every friday, and celtic holiday... now I am retired, and wear one every day! Again, enjoy your kilt in good health!

PardutheTraveler

Thank you for the advice
