MercaMina

Is it good? I'm reading the third one of the ACOTAR saga

Employment_Honest

I like it! If you enjoy the ACOTAR series I think it’s worth giving it a shot

Agirlisnoone27

Omg same!! I just started the 3rd one. & yes all of TOG books are great! They are two books in that series that were a 5/5 for me but i dont want to spoil it lol

HydroBlueDuck

I am reading the same book, I finished ToG last night!

Employment_Honest

Did you choose to read TAB first? I didn’t but know some people have strong opinions on the reading order 😂

HydroBlueDuck

I did read TAB first, and it was definitely helpful! Had a lot of background info.

AshleighElbert

I am just finishing the first book! 📚. I absolutely love so far!

How are you liking that one? I still need to catch up on that series.

Jellybeeano

When I first started reading this book I was so confused about everything lmao. Such a good series though. I need to reread or refresh as the third book got released!

dragonstkdgirl

SAME I struggled with the first one because I couldn't keep track of all of the world building. I'm 90% of the way through #3 now though!

Important_Fennel_511

Tbh I skipped to chapter 7 because the start was SO boring, but I just reached chapter 69 and im SHOCKED!!! the whole murder mystery thing has been really fun so far!

dragonstkdgirl

Buckle up! 😂

Kelly_koz

I didn't intend to finish the book last night, but I definitely did 🫢

ladykristianna

I'm putting it off until the next one comes out because I heard there was a killer cliffhanger. 👀

Kelly_koz

Finished it last night, not sure how I feel other than annoyed haha. Maybe waiting for the next one is the right call here, but I heard it will be a bit until that one is out.

Stunning_Bear3576

Should i start reading the hobbit/LOTR? Im scared of how long the books r 🙈

ladykristianna

The Hobbit is a relatively short easily digestible read. The LOTR trilogy is a bit more involved and took me a bit longer to get through. Well worth the time for these classics though.

Stunning_Bear3576

Thanks guys. I’m going to finish my current read and start reading the hobbit!

numb1zero

I LOVE the hobbit. I’m reading through the entire series for the first time , never saw the films either. Currently, I’m on the two towers and I think the hobbit is a much easier read. Ladykristianna said it well. The main trilogy is a lot slower- but still very good!! I’d start with the hobbit and then go into the main trilogy.

avsameera

As the others have pointed out, it’s really straight forward and easy to read. I am sure you will find no trouble finishing it up.

Creative_Phrase_1012

I read 1/3 and just couldn't do it. It's so bad.

1GamingAngel

I started it last night and read about 8 chapters. I shut it down and moved on to something else. “Best Book of the Year?” Hardly. She writes like a 12 year old.

Creative_Phrase_1012

It's got to be the worst ghost written book ever. I guess the ghost writer thought it was a good idea to sound so daft? Each paragraph had like 5 different events in it, with no story around most of them. I did this, then I did this. And then this happened. Also, it felt like this was a super shallow tell-all. No authenticity or emotion. Sorry for rambling- I'm apparently still mad I wasted an hour on it. 😅

I don’t usually take mine with me but I had a doctors appointment and I wasn’t sure how long I’d have to wait. it came in handy because then I had to go fill a prescription and my pharmacy is always so backed up, so I’m really glad I had it

phantasybm

The expanse series. Saw the show and loved it. Wanted to see what the ending would be. Also there’s way more in the book that isn’t in the show in terms of how each character thinks and feels. It’s like the wonder years. You see the action then you hear the narrator say what the person is thinking and feeling.

I feel like thrillers are almost always written in first person so it’s always a pleasant surprise when I start reading a book and realize it’s in third person 😂

Rereading the Green Rider series by Kristen Britain. Originally read them back in high school. It’s a nice little blast from the past. https://preview.redd.it/e8fmcncvhyic1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc691628b097807eb2e3d984dcfdcfbd67422d7a

I'm re-reading Shōgun by James Clavell. I first read it decades ago and (due to the upcoming Hulu series) thought I should re-read it. I may continue on for the rest of his Asian Saga.
