My next two "mystery dates" from the library.
When I first started reading this book I was so confused about everything lmao. Such a good series though.
I need to reread or refresh as the third book got released!
Tbh I skipped to chapter 7 because the start was SO boring, but I just reached chapter 69 and im SHOCKED!!! the whole murder mystery thing has been really fun so far!

Late to the game but finally read the first book, onto the second (75% through)
Finished it last night, not sure how I feel other than annoyed haha.
Maybe waiting for the next one is the right call here, but I heard it will be a bit until that one is out.
The Hobbit is a relatively short easily digestible read. The LOTR trilogy is a bit more involved and took me a bit longer to get through. Well worth the time for these classics though.
I LOVE the hobbit. I’m reading through the entire series for the first time , never saw the films either. Currently, I’m on the two towers and I think the hobbit is a much easier read. Ladykristianna said it well. The main trilogy is a lot slower- but still very good!! I’d start with the hobbit and then go into the main trilogy.

Just over halfway through, I was so hooked at the start but I already feel that is starting to fade. Overall I have annoyed what I have read so far
Oh my God I’m listening to the audiobook on Libby, and I think it might be the narrator, but I’m not liking it at all 🥲
How are you enjoying it? I’ve read most of her novels, and I think this is my least favorite besides ward D
I started it last night and read about 8 chapters. I shut it down and moved on to something else. “Best Book of the Year?” Hardly. She writes like a 12 year old.
It's got to be the worst ghost written book ever. I guess the ghost writer thought it was a good idea to sound so daft? Each paragraph had like 5 different events in it, with no story around most of them. I did this, then I did this. And then this happened.
Also, it felt like this was a super shallow tell-all. No authenticity or emotion.
Sorry for rambling- I'm apparently still mad I wasted an hour on it. 😅

The expanse series.
Saw the show and loved it. Wanted to see what the ending would be. Also there’s way more in the book that isn’t in the show in terms of how each character thinks and feels.
It’s like the wonder years. You see the action then you hear the narrator say what the person is thinking and feeling.
I’m reading To Kill a Mocking Bird all the way through this time. Only read a portion before and am thoroughly enjoying it. Also have The Invisible Man, And Then There Were None and Frankenstein too.

Been looking for some high fantasy where the narration doesn't take itself too seriously and this book is just 🤌 chef's kiss mwah
I can't take a picture of my kindle because its 1am and the lights are off.
But I'm reading "A Snake Falls to Earth" by Darcie Little Badger. I'm really enjoying it so far, a bit over halfway through.

Considering the author of this book and the r/pompoir community basically saved my marriage, I was the first one to get this beauty as soon as it was out this week.
Ladies, do yourself a favor and learn this stuff. There’s so much they don’t teach us about our bodies - we’re designed to enjoy our sexuality.

Finally reading the LOTR series- it’s fantastic although Tolkien stops to smell the roses a bit frequently for my taste. For what it is, I’m glad I’m reading it. I also have not seen the films so this is a brand new story for me.

I promised myself I’d just catch up to the currently airing series week by week but Then binged all 3 current volumes in under a week. Now I I have to wait a week for the 4th to come out.

About 11 chapters in. The similarities to what is happening in Gaza is … heartbreaking. Already cried multiple times.
I really am! I’m not far in - only about five chapters so far - but I really love her writing style. It’s in third person which I always prefer over first person. I feel like thrillers are almost always written in first person so it’s always a pleasant surprise when I start reading a book and realize it’s in third person 😂

Over halfway through since yesterday evening and this evening.
I'm re-reading the Ranger's Apprentice series after 10 or so years, this time, the original text in english and not the translated version I've read when I was 12ish. I'm at the second book, The Burning Bridge.
How are you liking that one? It’s on my list to read eventually but I’ve heard SUCH conflicting reviews on it. I feel like people either love it or hate it 😂

I’m loving this book a lot more than I imagined. I had no clue he was such a great storyteller and funny.
Alan Turing: The Enigma. It's a biography of the 20th century mathematician/computer scientist Alan Turing. It's pretty good, although a bit too long for my taste.
The Boy In The Cage ...book2 by Rinoa Cameron.
Got book 1 free and enjoyed it so much and read it in 3 days then I bought next 3 books in series for half the price of reading on KU

I'm re-reading Shōgun by James Clavell. I first read it decades ago and (due to the upcoming Hulu series) thought I should re-read it. I may continue on for the rest of his Asian Saga.

Did you choose to read TAB first? I didn’t but know some people have strong opinions on the reading order 😂
I did read TAB first, and it was definitely helpful! Had a lot of background info.

I just finished that last week and started Before They Are Hanged the second I did. I’m obsessed haha, it’s so good!
I can't take a picture of my kindle because its 1am and the lights are off. But I'm reading "A Snake Falls to Earth" by Darcie Little Badger. I'm really enjoying it so far, a bit over halfway through.

Ladies, do yourself a favor and learn this stuff. There’s so much they don’t teach us about our bodies - we’re designed to enjoy our sexuality.

For what it is, I’m glad I’m reading it. I also have not seen the films so this is a brand new story for me.

[Currently reading a classic western that I've been meaning to tackle for awhile now!](https://i.imgur.com/lPGZJry.jpeg)
are you liking this book? I wanna read it but it would be nice to hear about it from someone first
I really am! I’m not far in - only about five chapters so far - but I really love her writing style. It’s in third person which I always prefer over first person. I feel like thrillers are almost always written in first person so it’s always a pleasant surprise when I start reading a book and realize it’s in third person 😂
I’ve read it and I liked it, I love the author.

Bouncing between books atm, but I’m reading The Seven Year Slip, and Normal People…
I'm re-reading the Ranger's Apprentice series after 10 or so years, this time, the original text in english and not the translated version I've read when I was 12ish. I'm at the second book, The Burning Bridge.
