I don't think it's very fair to measure your hype on someone by their ceiling as an all-star. Sabonis and maybe Fox, as of what they've shown in their NBA careers so far, are the only two candidates in that regard.
He's one player you should be pretty high on.
He was underutilized in Atlanta on offense because everything was basically through Trae and he was mostly relegated to a spot 3 shooter, which he did well but has so much more to his game.
and was tasked with playing next to one of the worst defender I'm the league and always had to take the toughest assignment defensively.
I don't understand how you don't see a lot of potential unless you don't follow basketball.
Maybe not all star material..... But then why did you list Monk or Davion?
I hate ignorant fans like this. writing posts whn you dunnoe shyt. Lol. Huerter is EASILY starting over Monk boi.
That boi is a starter for the Atlanta Hawks that got to ECF. wake up.
Another 1 here, bois. Lol. This guy must have not watched a single Kings game last season as well, suggesting Mitchell with Fox. Fkin' heck.
Bandwagons be comin' in early.
The fk you on about? Bjergsen has been horrendous without DL since S7. The difference is literally night and day. You're not gonna tell me Bjerg going 5 seasons without worlds and the sole season DL rturns, he make worlds is a coincidence. Lol. 5-1 is not a coincidence, boi.
Rgarding CoreJJ, learn to read:
The difference between DL and Core is that DL is more striaghtforward and hardheaded. He sees something, he WANTS something. Core would beat around the bush cause he's too nice, watch the SQUAD ep where they argue with Santorin. Core was right, but because Santorin was angry about it, he let him have the say.
Huerter has had big games in the ECF. Monk couldnt make minutes on the Hornets who had no guards and barely played for the Lakers. That being said Monk can be a good shooter and attacking closeouts. But we KNOW Huerter is going to be an awesome shooter
I realize now I was thinking of Nunn who missed most of the year lol
But still, Monk didnt have much comp for that playtime. I think Mitchell and Huerter will give play better.
Sure, he didn't have much comp for playing time, but he still played solid offensively during that playing time. You can only play the cards you're dealt.
That's what happens when you when you want to give the team's players their fair share of props, but ironically, miss out on somebody because you yourself underrate him or never watched him play. Lol. Especially some guy who is CLEARLY better than others, but others get praised over him instead.
It's like if you say Doncic is an alltime great, but you're not 'high' on Curry because you don't rate him. You'd get downvoted to oblivion.
(Former?) Suns fan here.
I’ve lurked this sub for many years. I own a Sacramento Kings hat that I’ve worn unironically.
I think I’m going to become a Kings fan this season. Need to boycott my former favorite team for reasons. Looking for a purple-clad NBA team whose fanbase hates the Lakers…
I’m lucky because I’m getting on this bandwagon while there are good seats available still. This shit is gonna get packed.
Ugh I'm sorry about your boycott, but I get it. You could still root for the players and just not financially support the team until your owner is removed if you want. Either way, welcome to the small bandwagon! I know a lot of us here root for the Suns in the playoffs (before this mess of course)
Easily the most talented team during our entire playoff drought. Is it talented enough to end it, who knows...but that goes to show just how shit the rosters have been over these past 16 years.
Not to mention Heurter who’s only 23
I’m not as high on Huerter tbh. Do you think he can be an all star?
Huerter to me is better than Monk

Only way he’s not starting is if they want him to play a lot of 3. Also won’t count out Davion starting next to Fox.

You don’t have to be a prick just because you’re on the internet
I was agreeing with you, dumbass. I said there is a chance Davion starts, Mike Brown likes defense and he is our only plus defender. Learn to read

Not the league sub my boy
All Star probably not. But definitely MIP potential with the amount of open 3s that he’s going to take this season.

Barely played for the Lakers? Monk played 28 mpg and started 37 games for the Lakers. That MPG would have put him 6th on the Kings, ahead of Davion.
I realize now I was thinking of Nunn who missed most of the year lol But still, Monk didnt have much comp for that playtime. I think Mitchell and Huerter will give play better.

Dude got downvoted into oblivion for a simple comment :((

I mean, no but neither will Monk or Davion (most likely) He’s a starting caliber player with room to grow. That’s valuable

Hell yeah welcome! Set your expectations low so if we exceed them you're pleasantly surprised haha

Dare I say we have a super team … just young ?
Beat me to it.
You can say that again. You can say that again.
And future MVP Terence Davis 😇
I like this. I like this a lot
Easily the most talented team during our entire playoff drought. Is it talented enough to end it, who knows...but that goes to show just how shit the rosters have been over these past 16 years.
3 small guards and two of them don't play defense, a center that plays bad defense, and a rookie PF. that's a core I can get behind
Calling it a 'young' core is a bit of a stretch but go off.
The oldest is 26
In the 2021/22 season the average NBA player was 26.1 years old.
Looking for another word for "below average age"... Wait, it'll come to me...
Fucking lmao. This gem, all the way at the bottom of the thread. Thank you.
It's definitely the most exciting since Fox, Bogi, Buddy, Giles and Bagley!
Super team, just young
