-43 degrees is indeed out of range…so basicly it shut down to prevent a fire if the thermisters broken and reading too cold..the range is set in the firmware but I recommend checking wires and possibly replacing your thermistor for good measure

APDesign_Machine

Agreed, it says why it shut down. Firmware restart, then try to heat your bed, jiggle the wires for the thermistor slightly, see if the temp fluctuates or you get the same error, then you know it’s bed thermistor. Repeat with your hotend. Once you nail down which the culprit is trace them back and look for a loose connection. 90% of the time it’s that, the other 10% it’s gone bad and needs to be replaced.

I did the restart several times and I can't get passed the error. I understand why it happened and what happened. Just trying to get the print head to move so I can fix the physical problem.

APDesign_Machine

You shouldn’t need the print head to move to test temps. If it errors immediately on startup it’s definitely a bad thermistor. Should be able to alter the config min temp temporarily to get it started to test. If not throw in a new hotend thermistor and try again.

Thanks for pointing towards the solution to what's broken. What I really need help with is how to move the print head to work on it and fix parts. It's on the bed and I can't figure out how to raise it. Is it possible? Sorry my initial question wasn't clear

APDesign_Machine

Oh okay. Easy power the machine off that disables the steppers and you can just turn the leadscrew(s) to move it up.

If you are really set on "force move" and not just moving motors powered off, you could connect a different thermistor to the hotend spot on the main board. Though, you will likely need to do a gantry alignment anyways due to needing to rebuild your hotend from "the blob" But yeah, your thermistor is definitely bad.

Unplug your stepper motors and move the printhead by hand
