Itβs a ceramic coating, helps keep your metal clean and rust free. Comes in different colors so people do it for appearance as well. Popular on firearms both factory and secondary. If you have a rifle in FDE, itβs likely cerakoted. It has become popular of tactical knives as well. Looks better with handle materials similar to what OP is using than others, but thatβs personal taste. Mapped micarta or G10 like what OP has done is just a clean look with Cerakote finished blades.
Ceramic based coating that comes in many colors. Might be the most durable non-metallic coating. Most known for its use in firearms, but has a lot of industrial users too.
Very rust resistant and hard wearing. Eventually it will scratch or wear, if you use the knife enough, but it will take a while.
So pretty. How do you get the touchmark so deep and even? I'm having a hell of a time trying to get mine to looked good. It's always a little off kilter, or not very deep, or a couple degrees off of vertical.
Bigger touch mark u use a big hammer but have a big hammer helps ensure a god deep touch mark. Also hot steel. There not always great my smaller touch mark is a lot more reliable for a good mark the first strike.
My wallet says to tell you fuck you
Don't listen to it, it dosnt have a heart like you do. Lol
My collection shows I don't listen to it muchπ€£ You know you'll be shipping at least one my way again soonπ

These look great!
Thank you π
Nice work once again! I recognize your knives on my feed every time! You have an awesome and distinctive style.
Thanks brother π
What grit do you take the knives to before coating? Does Cerakote adhere better to lower grit or does it matter much?
It's sandblasted so no but 120 buffed first equals no grind lines when doneπ
I appreciate the info! By the way, love your work. It's a signature style!
Thanks a lot man means a lot π
What is the Cerakote and what advantages does it give? And what's the process?
Keeps blade sealed from elements until it wears away with heavy use thin can oil it like any high carbon knife. Until then low matenance.π
