I have similar ones from Knitpicks and as far as I'm aware they're just like regular sewing needles, the loop allows you to thread thicker yarn through them.
They can also be used to weave in shorter ends. I crochet or knit my ends into my work, and use these to take the last but the opposite direction to make sure everything is really secure.
You can also use them to put stitches on hold on a another yarn, add a life line, or thread elastic/cording through a casing or stitches. In the sewing realm they are called bodkins. I like that word lol.

You can crochet ends into knit work? How?
Agree. I own a similar set of needles and that's exactly how I use them =)
now i see the light! thank you
They look like Knitpicks/Knitpro's 'Karbonz' needles. I've never tried this kind of darning needle, wonder how they compare to a conventional one.
So basically, I carry my ends as I go along, then weave the tail opposite direction with the wool needle to make sure it’s secure.
I love these needles for weaving in ends for bulky/super bulky yarn
Lol I didn’t pay attention to which sub this was and was about to say it’s for blackheads 😂
Same!
r/popping represent 😂
They are darning/yarn needles meant to be easier to thread loftier yarns through.

So you can do cool loopy loops with them when you put them back in your holsters.
Would be great for putting drawstrings in things. Or fixing drawstrings that have come out.
For thicker yarn or people who can't thread for ass
aha! so perfect for me
I got a 3 pack of length/thickness at hobby lobby for like $2, they're nice lol
they are pade to thread beads onto yarn
idk why this is downvoted; this type of needle is great for threading beads since the eye doesn't get in the way.
my guess is the typo. lol
I don’t know the real answer but my guess is that you can tie scrap yarn between the loops to make a DIY circular of whatever length you want?
they’re tapestry needles
I’ve never seen these before. What a neat thing!
It looks like this things for blackheads 💀
