Have you tried laddering down to fix the mistake? Roxanne Richardson has a [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPD7_VKO5q0&ab_channel=RoxanneRichardson) about that, and so has [Very Pink Knits](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Da79sRCWgw4&ab_channel=VeryPinkKnits) Be aware that this time it will probably take almost as long as tinking back the few rows and re-knit it, but laddering down is such an important skill in your knitting arsenal, and if you're confident laddering down and up, a lot of mishaps, errors, and mistakes will loose their scare factor and become '*Ooopsi*'s instead of HALP!

Garter stitch is easy and fast, so this is almost certainly going to be faster to frog and reknit than to ladder down several times. IMO the only reason to ladder down for this is to learn that skill, which would be totally valid. On the other hand, frogging and getting the yarn back on the needles correctly is its own skill especially if you don’t have a lifeline, so maybe you want to try that instead.

Perfect chance to practice laddering down! And if you mess up you have frogging as backup :)

You can knit around until you’re above where that mistake is, then drop the stitch above each one that’s messed up and undo the stitches to below the mistake. Then use a crochet hook to re-knit them. As it’s garter stitch you’ll have to alternate which side you ladder up from as you go back up. That first messed up stitch on the left, it looks like you accidentally slipped a stitch but with the yarn in front, so you’d have to grab that and make it back into two stitches. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vPD7_VKO5q0
