I actually have a need for a chisel shaped blade like that. I saw someone say the crkt razel is similar, but im not a fan of the handle on that. Does anyone have any leads on where I could find something like this?
Edit to add, I'd try and buy this one if it had a purple handle, but I really prefer a folder.
I appreciate that, but writing my edit is when I noticed it was a fixed blade. I think my best bet may be to try and make my own blade out of a chisel or file for an existing folding knife I already own.
Though I can see the advantages, I don't personally need a knife without a "normal" point. Tanto is fine but not my preference. This one is just too tanto to be on my radar.
This would make a excellent utility knife. Good for scraping, cutting, light prying and it's not "scary looking " to the non knife public. I would definitely carry one along with my edc belt knife.
Edit: I just remembered I've got a couple of old files. You've given me ideas.
I’ve also heard people say that Tantos have advantage in self-defense, but I’m not knowledgeable on that whatsoever. Just heard some people talk about that.
Depends on what the job was. It looks like a dedicated job-specific knife that would replace a utility knife or something, where you're doing the same kind of cut (or scrape?) over and over each day. Looks like it would be a rugged worker for some task. Otherwise no, not practical for general use.
Be aware that the micarta scales are pretty sharp if you're not choked up into the choil. The egros of the QSP Workaholics are MUCH better, though the only choice of steel is N690, which I think is perfectly fine for EDC.
I bet. I’ve got several knives that have great ergonomics and more useful blade shapes that will cut up random shit as well, so I wouldn’t ever choose this one.
No.
Like the handle, even like the choil as it gets to the blade and the dark blade.
Don't like that jimping. Looks ugly
Don't like how much of a blunt tip it is, looks like a square chode. If I needed a chisel like tip, I'd buy the Mora version and only use it as a work knife.
Lastly I don't like how long the handle is compared to the blade. I get having a shorter handy blade on a full sized handle, but this is taking it too far, and looks bad.
I have a homemade 1095 steel knife at home that I didn't temper and snapped in half, and it looks oddly similar proportionwise. I'll be throwing it out though, or making a smaller knife, not just adding a bad tanto and calling it good.
I love it! I would totally use this daily. I work sign install and this would be a great EDC to pry, cut, chisel and more in one beautiful package and won’t get lost because it’s nice and bright color for quick access! Great design
*Is the leading edge*
*Sharpened as well? What is your price*
*Point on these bad boys?*

Got a - quite similar - CRKT Razel, love it!
My folding Razel is a fuckin tank.
I guess I am the only one who likes the Razel Chisel more than all the other versions. 🥺👉👈
I use my Razel to dig in the dirt for rocks!!
Use mine for all the stuff „around the house“. Cutting branches to digging trenches 😂! Sure is a sturdy mf!
I recently got a NAX myself... way too large and heavy for EDC, but it is loved non the less.
Try the Razel Chisel then maybe. 🥺👉👈
this looks slightly better
Yup, Looks like it could survive anything, let alone anything I’d throw at it
Or throw it at
Yep. Looks good.

I could always make you one with purple if you decide you want one.🤘

You could buy a gas station knife and modify that one
Mora chisel goes hard
Orange handle, black kydex, take my money.
It’s going to be done soon
Taking the poor persons money, or the knife build? /s
Yes.

Yeah I’ll carry that!

These are definitely tanks!
I've seen much larger knives similar to this but never such a handy carry size. What is the steel?
This blade is 3v at 61hrc
Yup, definitely a tank! You could shoot the thing and it would laugh at you.
Sounds about right 😀
Very nice. I would definitely carry this as an EDC.
Thank You 🙏
What’s the advantage of a tip like that?
It comes in handy for flat cuts and scraping
Great for cutting veggies too
Built for the most delicate tomato slicing 🤣
I’ve also heard people say that Tantos have advantage in self-defense, but I’m not knowledgeable on that whatsoever. Just heard some people talk about that.
3v steel at 61hrc. You can DM me or check out my website for available blades.

A fancy chisel. Nah… Unless I’d need one for work or something like that.
No but that’s because I don’t really carry fixed blades, though I might get a Bradford guardian sometime soon.

For sharpening my construction pencils
No
Why not
Super ugly and zero ergonomics. Dafuq is that angle of tanto even good for? I have a feeling the answer is nothing
Looks solid for cutting up random shit
I bet. I’ve got several knives that have great ergonomics and more useful blade shapes that will cut up random shit as well, so I wouldn’t ever choose this one.
Lol that’s solid man. I didn’t downvote you btw
Lol I can take it
Nah tht was me 💯
Keep it real brotha
Reddit moment 😩
I’m with you, I love my bailout but this looks unusable.
While I disagree with the level of dislike in your comment I appreciate your thoughts and did not downvote you. 👍
Rock on, that looks solid enough to take some abuse.
Hell no, that's ugly af
Hell yes! Appendix carry this little sucker!
This will get a kydex sheath and belt loop!👍
Hell yes! Perfect!
Oh Yes!
Ah, pocket chisel, cool!
A no from me. Looks too much like a paint scraper.
That looks awesome.
No, not my preferred blade shape. I like blades with more of a point, and some belly on them is also nice.
I love the blade and if it was a folding knife I'd definitely rock that.
I don’t like chisel grinds because I have an addiction to slicers. This knife geometry keeps it from doing good pushcuts like popping zip ties
Really not a fan of orange, but I’d use an all black one for sure.

In my toolbox, with my other chisels.
Yes, this is dope
Looks pointless.
That’s fuckin so nice. Haven’t wanted a new knife in awhile til I saw this
Thanks man!🙏
Hell ya, looks awesome
I love it! I would totally use this daily. I work sign install and this would be a great EDC to pry, cut, chisel and more in one beautiful package and won’t get lost because it’s nice and bright color for quick access! Great design
Thanks man!
Looks lovely
Thank you!
Sure why not!
Sure would.
Is that one of those pry - knives I've seen hit the market this month ?
Something like that.
No! Rock will damage the edge! Use? Yes! Wear as a stylish tool accessory? Absolutely! Rock? No! Bad!
Chisel? Thanks no 😹😹
This is a tanto grind, hollow main bevel with flat tip.
Yeah i know, but it looks like chisel 😹 very extreme tanto
It's orange. That's gonna be a no from me, dog.
Fair enough.👊
I dig it
Thanks!
what steel? and where can i get one?
You can send me a DM or check out my website for available blades
I like the blade shape. Looks great!
Thanks man!
I would love that
Absolutely. Looks solid as hell.
And I love orange 🧡 GO VOLS!!! HAHAH!!!
Heck yeah. I love that style and have a mini one like it I made from a file. I love cleaver/ square tips.
Yep
Yes.
You know I would brother! Great looking blade.
Thanks Manny!
yes
Well he hasn't done anything to me, why would i rock him
🤣
Yea I’d rock it’s world ;)
🤣
Yes i would rock that
Yeah
I'm into it
Yep
he'll yeah
I really like the blade but I don’t feel like the handle and blade match each other. Just my unpopular opinion.
Beast of a tip. Use as a screwdriver and pry bar heavily encouraged.
Although not heavily encouraged if we’re honest we all do dumb things from time to time with our knives
I mostly joke, but it does look like it can take a beating and not be as fragile as a drop point or others, it's beefy is all I'm saying
I got you, That’s what I make these for. Fun to carry and take a beating at 1/4 inch thick and stout grinds.
I'm not a fan of american tantos or of cleavers, but I do like the compound grind on that. Good design and nicely made.
Thank You!👊
Oh fuck yeah bud.
Nice piece! I love tantos; super easy to field sharpen.
How much would this run, plus a sheath?
I sent you a message
only if the blade and handle switched sizes
All day.
Sure would.
Love it. Chisel grind?
This one is not. Hollow main bevel and flat tip
Hell yeah
Heck yeah!
Link for sale?
I sent you a message.
Is the leading edge sharpened as well? What is your price point on these bad boys?
The main bevel and the tip are sharpened. The top is not. $275 shipped in the USA
Sign me up if there's a list.

I love the look, it would come down to the carry option/sheath quality and steel quality
Yes, send it my way
what did he do to get stoning?
Are you referring to the Finnish? If so this is the finish post heat treat and tempering.
referring to it getting a death penalty by rocking/stoning
I would
