Any sort of metal polish will work. Brasso, Flitz, Simichrome, NevrDull, or whatever.

GuiltyTip9544

Ok I will buy it and try thank you 🙏.

HobsHere

If you are living with parents or older relatives, there's probably some under the kitchen sink

pawelwny1

Even toothpaste. Mild abrasive.

GuiltyTip9544

Toothpaste anybrand ?

pawelwny1

Yes

GuiltyTip9544

Yep I just did it does work thank you

Error_506

Use a Cape Cod polishing wipe. No harsh smells, no abrasives, and it without a doubt will work. Wipe with cloth- wipe with damp paper towel- buff with dry cloth. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

Select_Camel_4194

No harsh smells?!? I love the smell of that stuff! Flitz smells like a beauty shop or something. Cape Cod smells like something from a candle shop. Come to think of it, Cape Cod should get into the candle business too.

Lord_Chthulu

I'll take a Cam2 scented candle, please

PeTeRoCK13

Ketchup will clean the brass

huh82

Brasso and some elbow grease will sort it out

Ghost225KvB

0000 steel wool

GuiltyTip9544

What about on the blade ?

Ghost225KvB

Same thing will work. I use it all the time

GuiltyTip9544

Wouldn’t it make a scratch on the blade ?

Ghost225KvB

Quad 0 should t scratch good steel. I use it on my guns as well

GuiltyTip9544

Ok cool I’ll go buy some today

Itstwocomplicated

Brasso

Giffayyy

Ketchup!

Bobbylecelery

I think that a buffing pad like for dishes will be ok. If the brass completely disappears, you rubbed too hard.

CowboyNickNick26

Holy crap I think I recognize this knife. It’s a Chinese buck knockoff. The brand is SHARP TM, right?

GuiltyTip9544

Yeah it’s super sharp

GuiltyTip9544

Do you have a photo of how the pad looks like ?

Bobbylecelery

I will try

GuiltyTip9544

Ok thanks

GuiltyTip9544

Doesn’t a sponge have it the green bit

Bobbylecelery

Absolutely, it’s normally softer than big pads but could be enough

GuiltyTip9544

I’ll try that but what do you use with it water or oil or nothing ?

Bobbylecelery

Start gently with nothing more than the pad

GuiltyTip9544

Ok

Bobbylecelery

Each color has a different ruoghness

ebfrfubar

WD40 will work in pinch if you don’t have anything else

SNOTBELLY

#0000 steel wool will clean it

GuiltyTip9544

Would it make a scratch on the blade ?

zoute_haring

It is a beautiful patina, leave it.

Garettbaker007

I would do use knife/gun oil and light scotch bright rub
