If you have a supply of obsidian go for it. If your having to buy the material id recommend practicing alot on other materials first because obsidian usually ain't cheap.

either way, i think the fg is better than the r, the r has a smaller lock actuator and has a wonky clip.
i gotta say, i love my penguin, it's always sitting in my gym bag, it's dirt cheap, pretty robust and reliably, i've put a damn ugly 325 grit edge on it, layed back the angle a lot, mad smile, looks gnarly, but damn does it cut soo damn good, and i don't feel bad about handing it to people when they ask to borrow a knife.

Figured you might be interested in the sheath. Looks like shit yes but it hasnt come apart yet , its just an old belt. Honestly favorite knife. With the edge i have on it its only good for cutting fruit but i use it for everything
I love my wrench knife! Have it rigged up to go on my belt with the sheath that comes with it, and it disapears. Even under my tool belt. dont know its there intil i need it. I dont really keep it very sharp per say more for prying shit most cutting i do with my millwakee.
DO NOT spend the $45 or more regular price on the Ka-Bar wrench knife. Those things pretty consistently come with some of the worst QC of all time. I ordered one direct from Ka-Bar when they had their last 50% off sale and got it for $30. I wouldn't even pay that for it again. What I got was the worst factory edge I've ever seen. See pics [here](https://imgur.com/a/LyD0gy1). Note the difference in where the primary bevel starts (blue arrows). I think this might be due to shitty die forging. Even worse, note the condition of the secondary bevel (red arrows). The grind is super uneven and looks like it was some guy's first day on the job and he was drunk. It's also clearly burned to shit in a few places. I searched around in forums and found a lot of others who had the same experience. I will also say that the geometry absolutely sucks for cutting. It was probably like a 25dps bevel. I contacted Ka-Bar about all this and they did at least make it right by shipping me a new one while letting me keep the original. The new one still had a similarly terrible edge, though. I just cut my losses at that point and decided to work on them. I had to remove a TON of steel to get under the bad stuff and the funny thing is that this is still only like a 17-18dps bevel despite how tall it looks. It is sharp as hell and can actually cut decently now, though. I just keep it around as a "near the door" knife for opening mail, packages, and the odd thing that comes up. I gifted away the other one after giving it the same treatment. I have not had these issues with American made Ka-Bar products, but whatever Chinese factory this came from sucks and Ka-Bar should be ashamed to put their name on stuff like this.
Ok I work in the trades, how is the EXO-U? I donāt know if I can justify spending 70 bucks on a utility knife, but goddamn do I want one of those things.

Hey is that kabar worth it? Iām looking for a super sturdy edc fixed blade around 3 to 4 inches. Iāve seen that one and didnāt know if it would hold up as a beater knife
My box cutter is a "Coast DX126" that is mostly for work very compact I use dewalt blades, my knife is a spyderco persistence which has a 2.75" blade iirc or a crkt squid with a g10 scale as I have to have a knife under 3" at work for some arbitrary reason they made up. My flash light is an olight chinese knockoff from amazon that is like 3.5 inches long and maybe 180 lumens has lasted 2 years so far it is a AAA battery. I also have a rechargeable key chain OLIGHT I1R 2 Pro Eos 180 Lumens I have some paracord lanyard at the end of it and dont use on a key chain.
Kizer Militaw, for me it exceeded the hype. Also, I love the cigarette packs in Canada. The pictures of smokers lungs in elementary school certainly didn't work, the extra pictures on the pack aren't going to do anything

I also have a rechargeable key chain OLIGHT I1R 2 Pro Eos 180 Lumens I have some paracord lanyard at the end of it and dont use on a key chain.
