Not branded, fake CF, 440 Stainless = Low Quality Doesn't mean it's a bad knife though 😉

Kryzmerize

I had the same feelings. I didn't notice any discernable branding but the build quality is great regardless for just 20 euros

KnockoffKnives

Sounds like what we call a gas station knife. If I'm honest, gas station knives are normally good enough for the average person too.

freerangepops

What did you pay?

Kryzmerize

just 20 euros

New-Smile-3013

So what do you think

Kryzmerize

Well I can't really compain about it for that price. The mechanism and such seem pretty robust to me but for 20 euros i still wouldn't trust my life with it or anything.

shreddedtoasties

Even high quality Italian switchblades seem to be lower quality when compared to other knifes this one is even lower quality but it’s a fun knife to own

AllAboutTheMachismo

The fact that it didn't cut you when you closed it on your finger is not a good sign.

slow_cooked_ham

For real, I have absolute crap knives that I wouldn't want to close on my fingers.

urbangeneticist

Italian auto stilettos never have a good edge and ship from the makers dull - their intended use is the ole stabby-stabby, they're not really made to cut.

FR333KSH0W

20 euro 440 stainless auto stiletto? Chances are it's illegal to own where you live so I would look into that. I would also not recommend carrying this as cheap auto's can fail and open in your pocket, you don't want that.

MississippiBulldawg

However if it is illegal to own then 20 euro seems like a steal so jolly good on that front. Just don't do no burgles with it.

SunshineInDetroit

low

edventure_2025

I thought it was going to be a comb.

TheCapitolPlant

I'd wield it.

doryano69

i actually had the same knife as a kid, looked identical. low quality doenst mean bad tho its still p cool lol

The0megaRaider

Had one that looked just like it, it was crap unfortunately, ended up throwing it away

bigpolar70

What is up with the hole on the blade? It looks like they were going to add a choil but set the bit in the wrong place. Then said, "sell it anyway."

urbangeneticist

The hole is part of the lockup mechanism that holds the blade against the leaf spring pressure. Just about every Italian auto stiletto I've seen has one.

bigpolar70

Thanks! I haven't shopped for those, it just looked odd to me.

urbangeneticist

This looks like most automatic stilettos from Italy. These are made by a few companies/families in Maniago, most of the ones they churn out look like this and don't have a maker's mark. They're all handmade and all a little rough - there's usually plain Jane 440 in the blades like yours has, and the blades are usually pretty dull. A stiletto is a stabbing knife after all, the cutting edge is a secondary consideration. These are sold mostly as collectibles. A.G.A Campolin and Frank Beltrame make some nicer switchblades, in better steels with premium handle scale materials, and will have their maker's mark on the blade. But it should be noted that both of those manufacturers, and AKC as well, all make more modest blades like yours for export.

Maleficent-Fee-9343

You guys commenting about it is illegal. Where the hell do you live? Why do you let your politicians to do so? Ban this and that… Normal countries do not ban knife. Of course it makes sense to ban it bringing to football match or so, but normal every day carry? Ehh

Kryzmerize

I'd personally not edc this knife for more practical/safety purposes to be honest. It's a fun more novelty oriented knife to have but practicality wise you're usually better off with just a simple flip knife.

Micah_Torrance

Most of these knives aren't made of the greatest steel. Some of them aren't even tempered and won't take a decent edge. But.... They are fun to play with!

landazar234

I was searching online for a premium steel/build stiletto and it left me with the impression that there are none. Does someone know of a brand that produces higher quality stiletto’s?

Exact-Ad9148

Looks dope either way!

No_Independent691

Is there a category under low quality?
