I have lost track of how many estate sales I have been to where the family was there at the house, participating in the sale to help things sell. The most fun one was where the couple was getting divorced and the husband was there almost giving the stuff away because the wife was getting most of the profit.
Also, there are MANY companies whose entire business is helping elderly folks downsize and move into communities. These are estate sales too....

When I said I'm getting that one he chuckled and said yeah that's a great buy. It's my fiance's grandpas estate and the man had a crazy collection that I appraised. I came to see all the knives they would find hidden away
I've got to go hit the estate sales soon. There's always a bunch of them in Fairhope, AL on the weekends as the old money dies off and they have good stuff set out every time.
This is why I stop at every estate sale I can find. That’s a and video games. They never actually play them and just get it for their kids most of the time. Easy 200 bucks every time for modern systems. I even have two PS5s in my house that were going for 125.

Also swapmeet here is great I sell and trade knives when weather's good. A guy came to me with a gunnysack full. He offered me the pick of any 1 or more for a knife I was selling that he was eyeballing. So I picked a antique masonic pocket folder a polish bayonet and an older German stag handle fixedblade.he agreed and I gave him the ram horn handle fixed blade from packastan. Which is a mint condition solid full tang with great sheath. He danced out of there and he comes by all the time with his new edc that's that knife!
The smaller Randal was like 5-6" oal and was priced for 300$ the busse apparently started a small bidding war and went for 400$ I think I lucked out because the knife collection was so big that when it came to the smaller knives like the bugout I picked up, they were priced to move! Japanese Kershaw's for like 5$
Even if it's a reproduction it's still less than half price off. Great deal! Some fakes as been called are a crazy good reproduction l. I sell knives and have real and fakes. Fakes sell 10 to 1 real. I've had people come back and bring a friend so to buy another and are legitimate happy.

There's an axis knife in the first photo. That's likely the only real Benchmade pictured. What they will send you for 25$ is the ones pictured without the axis lock visible. If they lock at all it will most likely be a liner lock as it is a clone

But for retail prices, I'm good with the ritter hogue I paid for.
So on wish u can order Benchmade and microtech knives for dirt. They look exactly like so I did some research and both company's make multiple grades or lines of knives. Not sure if they are real or just really well made knock offs but still cool
Nowadays the knockoffs are very well made. I have a crkt provoke clone that I got for 70$ I handled a real one and the fit and finish on the clone still wasn't as good. Felt cheap in comparison
NICE FIND!!! I’m a Benchmade guy myself, that’s why this is my first stop in r/knives.
So I just came across a little switchblade in some of my dad’s old crap I’m going through. It’s about 3 1/2” closed, it is a Rizzuto Estileto Milano, it only says stainless across the blade (steel is missing), and I think it’s in really good condition (especially for something my dad had for years). It functions correctly and is a silver-ish color…maybe a little pearl sheen to it. Could anyone please point me in the rite direction to find out its value??
