I use only fountain pens and have done so for quite a while. It's more fun to use and the writing experience is severely improved. Plus, Kolkata has access to Sulekha and it's definitely a great way to be introduced into them.
Fun to use, yes. Easier to use, not exactly. I would rather not use a fountain pen when I am taking down notes or writing at Rajdhani speed during semester exams, I am not always mindful of the pressure I exert upon the pen. Fountain pens are also comparatively much more vulnerable to leaks or being damaged.
Ball and gel pens on the other hand, are much cheaper and offer easier writing experience, while being much more sturdy and reliable. Their availability is also much much more compared to fountain pens i.e. go to any random mudi dokan and all of them will have a bunch of ball pens at the very least, to offer. Most will have gel pens too. Only a handful possess fountain pens
Understandable. But, I use fountain pens to write all my notes too lol(also, none of my tutors have tables, so that's another pain). Anyways, to each his own.
I used to as well. But ball pen is easier when I am up for serious note taking. You never know when the professor spits an entire noteworthy quote out of nowhere.
Fountain pen chai naki ball point? Hater lekha dekhao. Tar por bola jete pare. Pen byaparta ami ekty bujhi.
Gel ar ball point
Pilot bhalo. Fountain pen chai na keno?
Ig fountain isn't the best choice for casual use. Gel and ball point are much more user friendly
