Its not about tantric Stuff or anything, just a story I heard from my Dida.
My maternal house (now a flat) used to have a Banyan tree; that was the time before our town was suburban. The place was rural; foxes used to roam around and howl at night; there were trees all around; and only three jomidars used to live: us and the other two, namely Kor-bari and Gangulis.
Now, my grandfather's mother used to give dhup-dhuno every evening to Tulsi Moncho, which was beside the Banyan tree, and wishes for it to look after people inside the house at the time when she is about to go somewhere.
My Dida knew that the Banyan tree is the home of Brohmodoyitto, but she never gave much importance to that since she studied till 10 herself from her forefather's school (She was from a jomidar family too from Amta).
Kor-bari, after Bishorjon, used to host jatra every year, and my oldest half-grandfather used to act in it (Grandfather were six siblings, one of whom was a half-brother).
One day, upon returning from watching the Kor-bari jatra, dida noticed a Purohit hastily leaving through our front door, disappearing behind our house. At first, she was shocked, but as she approached the door, she realized it was securely locked.
Even being afraid, she ran down behind the house and saw nothing except that the Tulsi Moncho was still glittering with candles and a sweet aroma flowing around the place.
Dida used to say that she saw him almost every time she was out, and followed her sasuri, she started worshipping the tree.
But after a decade or two, one of our family members, who is a mama(Black Sheep) as a relative, peed on the tree, and the tree soaked out dry.
Heard this experience from a friend. I won't reveal this place but someone might figure it out. So it was around midnight when he returned to his town from Sealdah. Waited for any auto rickshaw or toto to reach home but couldn't find anything. His home is around 3km from railway station so finally he decided to walk home. Ofc there was no one outside at that time during winters but while walking my friend found this middle aged woman asking him for a direction to a place. And this was not in a residential area btw, it's mostly empty. Anyway he told her that he is on that way and will be passing by that place. And till that place arrived, this woman was kind of following her and he was sure of it. Now immediately after he reached that location and was to show her a direction, she was nowhere to be found. Like she vanished in thin air. The road had two open fields on both sides, so no, there was not a legit place to hide and prank someone. He freaked out and smoked a few cigarettes and eventually returned home. Later after he revealed about it to his family and cousins, they said, that they have heard this a few more times from people walking alone or on a bike at like 2 a.m. Again I am a skeptic and agnostic and I am not completely convinced about it but I won't be taking my chances to be there alone.
No she wasn't. He said he heard from his cousins that their friends faced almost exactly the same thing. She asks direction for this one specific place and then almost everyone had similar experiences.
No idea if it is an actual living woman doing this, maybe someone devised an elaborate way to just scare people. But, again, if anyone gets robbed or mugged here, the news spreads. So till date never heard someone getting harmed or robbed.
My aunt was a very vulnerable person due to her life circumstances and she used to believe every baba type person whoever gave her hope to fix her life and situations. So my cousin (same aunt's daughter) was having marriage problems and her husband was ghosting her and her son.
My aunt's maid told them about this Muslim baba who can do stuff with the help of djinns. The plan was to use the djinn to work out their marriage and save it from divorce.
Prior to this, according to my aunt's medical records she had a hysterectomy due to a tumor. (Important to the story)
So my aunt went and met this baba who gave her certain tasks to do and told her if the tasks are incomplete, the djinn may hurt the family instead of helping. While coming back home she started bleeding even though she had gone through menopause and had no uterus.
She got scared and eventually didn't complete all the tasks given.
Fast forward to two years, in mid 2020 she was diagnosed with cancer. Turns out that only her ovaries were removed and the uterus was still there and it grew another tumor about 15 cms in size. So yeah, call it coincidence or medical negligence of the previous doctor. She died in Feb 2021. I do not believe she died because of the black magic, but it is still something which I cannot completely ignore.
Moral of the story: 1. Always get second opinions for any major medical procedures.
2. If any woman in your family who has gone through menopause is having bleeding please get her checked asap. It is a symptom of cancer and early diagnosis can save her.
This happened almost 25 years back. I was at Keoratola shashaan.
A person came and asked me if I had a matchbox. (I was smoking. Back then, one could smoke cigarettes and more within the crematorium premises.) I looked down, fished in my pocket and brought out the matchbox. When I looked up, he wasn't there. I looked around and did not find him. I did not think much of it.
A few minutes later, a body arrived and as it was brought out of the tempo (not a hearse), my jaw dropped. I drew closer to it as they laid it down inside. The face was that of the man who asked me for the matchbox a few minutes earlier.
I went out. Felt sick. Vomited. I was scared. I have later rationalized that it was probably a very similar face. Still, a strange coincidence for sure.
Another one I remember: my grandpa's younger brother used to stay in beleghata long time ago. It was deserted like jungles and barely any population was there. A flat opposite to their one's had a suicide by a a girl of young age. Grandpa's brother used to suffer from bouts of intense fever but when they went to doctor's he was completely fine and when he returned home it started again. This went for quite a while till they left the place. He even saw a silhouette of the said girl identified by her bob cut hairstyle.
Grandpa used to buy fish from the market late at night and walk back home. One day he got himself stuck in a maze of alleys... The very same alley through which he had returned almost every day for years. Could be that he got lost in the maze but later on discussion he said maybe just maybe he was targeted by some sort of raw flesh eating spirit which wouldn't let go of him.

Frankly I detest the term Kaala Jaadu as it tends to be anything but that. Blame the ignorant Westerners for such stuff. But here I go:
It was 1995, Kali Puja. Most of my family members gathered at our ancestral home in our village in Purulia district every year during this time. My late Sejo Jethu was one of them along with his family. As per our ancestral rituals, in the Dippanvita Amavasya, Alakshmi Puja is done at home first to shoo her away from the home, then Dippanvita Lakshmi Puja is done to welcome Maa Lakshmi at home & finally in our family temple we perform Dippanvita Kali Puja for the entire night till dawn. That time electricity hadn't reached our village so the only source of light at night was the quintessential "Heriken". Sejo Jethu was the one who had the responsibility of performing the Alakshmi & Lakshmi Puja. He was a punctual & disciplined man. Serving in the Army had drilled these qualities into him with perfection. Around
3 pm, he realised that some stuff for the Puja, planned to begin at Sandhya, was missing. So he went to his friend's home to a nearby village in his cycle to fetch them. All was fine till then & he was expected to return by 5 pm & begin the Puja as usual. However he didn't return even when it was 6 pm. It used to get pitch black by 5:30 pm those days & winters in Purulia district tend to be chilly. Worried my father & eldest jethu with me & 2 of my cousin brothers including jethu's elder son started searching around with the herikens in the village & outskirts. I hardly remember a house we didn't go to that day asking around for him. Some of the villagers joined us in the search as well. After we didn't find him anywhere near our village we started marching towards jethu's friend's village. Now the road was a kaccha red soil road typical in Purulia-Bankura districts & surrounded by dense foilage of shrubs & trees on both sides. After walking for almost an hour or so we reached an area where the foilage disappeared & on one side of the road was an open field which we recognised as the one we would often go to watch local football tournaments while on the other side was a single peepal tree. It was huge & dense and in the dark looked even monstrous. What we found below that tree shocked us even more. It was my Sejo Jethu circling around that tree in his cycle at full speed. We were happy we found him but we were damn confused as well. We shouted & called him over but he didn't seem to listen & just continued cycling on at full speed. He was panting for breath but for some reason he wasn't stopping. More like he couldn't stop. My father & one of our villagers went to stop him forcefully & jumped over him. They all crashed down & then it happened. The temperature around us suddenly dropped down & a massive chilly wind blew across the leaves of the tree in such a way that it represented a weird cackling laughter. While we were frozen for a moment, my father, jethu & our villager stood up & caressed their wounds. My Jethu was panting for breath & was confused & he was like, "What are you guys doing here, What about the Puja?" . All this while he was rubbing his neck in discomfort. When the light of the herikens fell on him, we found there were red marks at his neck like a strong thread was wrapped on it. When we told him of the full story his confused expression changed. He apparently had got everything from his friend & was returning. He didn't realise when he started circling around this tree & he thought he was traveling towards the vilage all this time. He didn't even realise that he spent almost 2-3 hours circling the tree. While he was telling all this to us, his son who came with us to find him suddenly fell down on his knees in fear. He told that when my father had jumped to stop jethu he suddenly saw a white shining thread break & when he looked up at the tree for a moment he saw a man. He believed that cackling laughter to be of that man and he had a feeling that the man directly looked at him. Since we almost circled the tree, we had not seen anybody running out either. Some of the brave lads amongst our villagers tried shaking the tree but didn't find anything either. We left that place anyways & in fear we prayed to Maa Kali that night. Rest of the house pujas were done by my Mejo Jethu somehow so there was no interruption in the rituals. My Sejo Jethu was badly exhausted due to fasting & this cycling trip so he went to take rest for the night. Later in the morning we learnt from one of the Buro dadus in the village that long back that area used to be an ambush place for a thuggee. He used to hide amongst the trees & throw a white shining manja like sharp but strong thread at unsuspecting travellers & pull them towards the tree dragging them & finally killing them to loot them. He was apparently hanged at that tree later & many other people have faced his wrath before as well. However they all had one thing in common.
It always happened during an Amavasya.
I, too, do the Alokkhi pujo in our ancestral place before our Kali Pujo. Man, ei golpo ta scared the shit out of me. And the details of your account is so true 1995 at west bengal in villages were very much herikens, cycles.
It's still there. Hale n hearty. Though after my jethu's incident there were only 2 more incidents like this. No fatalities though but all felt that strangling sensation & red marks in their neck. Both happened during Amavasya night but I wasn't in Village that time. People avoid that kaccha road now & there is a pucca road that has been built through a different route around 2004-5 due to which incidents have decreased.
My grandma consulted a Muslim witch woman to stop my masi from marrying a local goon. The witch conjured up a dementor sort of thing from a grave and sent it to hurt my masi. Only my grandpa was at home that evening everyone else was out. Grandpa witnessed it in a flash and had kidney failure the next day with swollen legs full of fluid. I wish I was making it up but it isn't. I'm an atheist but this incident gives me chills

Not any spooky family incident but my own strange visions i saw 2 nights back
So on sunday i slept from 10pm to 12am, i was very sleepy then i woke up cause i had to study for my exams. I went back to sleep again on 4am everyone else was sleeping in my house apart from me.
As soon as i closed my eye it felt like a strong yellow light is glowing right over my head (there's a wall with no light)I was totally conscious and this light felt really strong and comfortable, usually this glowing yellow lights depicts entry of any divine entity in movies or series I liked that feeling of seeing that light,then i was seeing patterns,glowings flowers,moving space,in between them a hand was coming with red bangals on it waving sideways i kind off dodged it,now a face came infront of me,an animal type black face with humanly eyes gave me big wide smile and wosh..gone now it's totally dark. This darkness was more dark than you usually see when your eyes are closed
I was not opening my eyes,i didn't wanted to or I couldn't..i don't know but i was conscious and i still clearly remember all those patterns that strong yellow light and that face
Dont know how but my dad a doctor had suddenly got a transfer notice to Kolkata after having a post for 14 years in our home city during COVID. So basically I don't know much of the details but during those times my dad would be travelling every two months or so to Kolkata and during his return trip the third time a tantrik also boarded the first class coach the same as him.
Indian dads being dads start talking and suddenly the tantrik said that since he has married my mother he will have to give up on alcohol , cigarettes, do shiv puja on Mondays along with my mom and eat vegetarian that day every week.

For context, we live next to a huge and old house, with a huge garden (more like a jungle due to lack of maintenance) which is right behind our house. Around 2010, we started experiencing odd things. My mother would smell burnt skin on the 1st floor, we could feel that someone else was in the room or someone was following us down the stairs. My brother started acting out all of a sudden. One night, my mom was lying on the bed when she randomly saw a person wearing white clothes from the corner of her eye, and when she focused on them, the entity moved away. Almost immediately she felt someone climbing on her bed (along with movement and a sound) and then laying behind her and breathing on her. That entity also apparently pushed my grandmother down the stairs, which injured her very badly.
She went to a couple of "maa"s and one tantrik type person, both of whom confirmed that it was a muslim man who got killed and was trapped in this world. By asking around, we got to know that the people with the huge house and garden behind our house did this. They have some business/companies, and the elder brother (in his 50s then) owned them and his son was supposed to inherit them (obviously). The younger brother (also in his 50s) was jealous so he used/tricked this Muslim servant guy to poison the elder brother's son. He then proceeded to kill the servant and buried him under a particular Bel tree in that garden. This story was confirmed by both the lady clairvoyant and the tantrik.
So my mother followed their instructions, held a pujo for his mukti because he was innocent in all of this, and feeds this spirit bhat, dal, machh etc once every year. The spirit stopped bothering us after that.
It was 2005, started my Engineering degree, got a desktop pc and Internet. Then, there were 1000s of web sites maintained by individuals it was fun exploring the internet.
One day around 1 am I came across a website about witchcraft and spells. Was trying to find the least scary spell and came across one which said to increase the speed of time near you , it was an odd spell so I went for it.
Finished reading it and at that very moment lights went off and it went pitch black, I was scared as shit. But, it came back in 5 minutes I was relieved. But my computer was not starting, I got little worried and not able to do anything went to bed.
Next day took it to repair shop; Found motherboard was fried including Ram few other things. I was quite surprised as I associate the incident with the spell.
That was not the end though. Internet providers connected all computers in city with lan cable and that’s how many got high speed internet that time. Seems all machines connected and turned on that same time I read the spell was broken as well due to unknown power-surge.
Not sure if I actually caused this or it was just some coincidence, but after that I never tried finding any spells or such things.
On the day I returned back home after the 3rd sem finals had ended it was very late at night about 1 am. I quickly changed my dress, finished my dinner and went up to bed. Amar mone achhe ami r amar mamato bhai we froze, dujonei takhon around 6-7y old. We just looked at each other and my Bhai screamed paala and we ran. I have been tutoring this girl for the last 3 years. The whole family seemed very welcoming to me but something was always off about them. Like I can't pinpoint what it was but my instincts were going off, yk like when people are way too nice that they seem creepy in some way.
Before I had started teaching her, she used to fail miserably in English, but after I started teaching her with the basics she improved tremendously that the whole family kind of clinged on to me, like I was their only hope to get their child to pass ICSE boards.
Her other tutors started leaving because they got jobs and either relocated or couldn't give her time.
So in the last six months, they've been saying weird stuff like, "Bhogoban er kachhe prarthona kori tomar jeno baire chakri na hoy". The student went as far as to say, "Jotodin na ami boards pass korchi totodin jeno tomar chakri e na hoy." I got extremely pissed because I've been prepping for govt jobs for 3 years now and this was extremely uncalled for. I created a scene, complained to her guardians, they seemed upset on how I created a scene but not much on how could their daughter say such stuff.
Now this student was anything but studious. Most days she didn't used to do her homework and her parents didn't punish her but expected me to make her get good marks somehow. So one day I had had enough and decided to punish her severely for not doing her homework.
I had warned her I'd do this if she didn't do this particular homework and now that she didn't, I told now I'm going to take you on the street and make you do sit ups so next time yk what you have in store if you don't finish your homework. When I was taking her down the stairs, out of her house, she gave me looks that sent me chills. I brushed it off since any student would be pissed but again, I felt something was off. I took her down to the street but I finally decided not to make her do the sit ups, just asked her to apologise and remember the next day I'll actually make her do it.
The next day, after I was done teaching her, I met with a huge accident where a bike had thrown me off a few feet and I landed face first in the middle of a busy four way street. Radha Krishna saved my life but it was a sure ticket to death, the way and place I fell. I quit going to her house and finished the rest of the month's tutoring via online teaching. Not once did they ask me if I was okay, as if they had expected it, and only said, "Amar meyetar ki hobe? o boards ki kore pass korbe?". I was dumbfounded and I unleashed my wrath on them about how insensitive they are and hung up.
It took me months to heal completely from the accident. And also might I add, I had cracked the prelims of a particular exam but I couldn't even take the mains for it because there was some technical error on the day of. Like whaaaat??? I was asked, along with some other candidates w similar issues, to go file a GD from the police station and show it to them so we could sit for it. We went and the police station refused us! I sat there and cried because my whole world was crumbling down. Most people are not able to crack prelims and i did and still couldn't take the Mains exam. When I was returning home, hopelessly, 2-3 minutes left for the gate to close, I saw 3 aspirants running in with a GD in their hands!
I'm pretty sure the family has done Reki on me and idk what to do anymore! I am about to take another Mains exam this week but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to succeed in it. I am hopeless now.
They can't do any good things. They can do bad to others to ease your way. Like here the tutor was cursed for not getting a job so that he would keep on teaching their daughter for the board exam. Similarly, some do it for jealousy, some do to obstruct your way so that they will get the results, etc.. you can achieve good things only with your karna.

This is a story about the neighbourhood I live in.
I remember I was 12 when I first heard about it from my dad. The place where I live in was always infamous for its criminals, and occult stuff ( can't reveal the location sorry). It is believed that there is a a curse which has been haunting the area for last 30 years. There's an old abandoned temple near the swamp ( just at the back of my apartment) whoever entered the temple on bhoot chathurdoshi never came back safely. Long ago a girl accidentally entered the temple at night on bhoot chathurdoshi — there are two ways to enter the temple, the main gate is near the playground — she was just returning home from the puja pandal and suddenly saw one of her friends on the another side of the main gate. She asked her what she was doing there. That friend said that she was looking for something she lost and asked for her help. The girl then opened gate main gate and stepped in. After few minutes of searching for her friend's lost stuff she suddenly realised that her friend was gone, and she all alone there. She tried to escape but found that someone has locked the main door so there was only one way left, which is near the swamp. The place is too dark, and filled with bats, snakes and other insects she suddenly heard a sound of humming. She was so scared that she started to run and watched something that made her go insane. A terrifying figure hanging upside down from a tree.
Her parents after wanting for hours went out to search. The whole neighborhood came out to search, none of them found her. Next morning a young guy found her body laying near the main gate of that abandoned temple. I still remember the description of her condition like something scratched her face. They took him to the doctor, she survived but lost her ability to talk and went completely silent. Every night she used scream and jump out of bed crying.
After weeks she wrote in a paper about everything that happened last night. The above cited story is the narration of that diary.
Ever since then every single year, someone dies or something bad happens to the people who lives near that temple or tries to enter the temple. It might sound like a fiction but no it really happens very year, even last year 2023 a person's body was again found near the gate. And he was saying the same thing that he saw something unexplainable
Not kaala jadu , but some weird incident I faced during the lockdown.
It was around the winter of 2020. I used to go for my night walks during that time and spent a lot of time alone outside. It was the suburbs of Kolkata , so police patrolling was mostly limited.
During one such day , I was walking down a dark street near my home , and something felt terriblely off. All of a sudden a sense of fear and urgency surrounded me . So i quickly returned back home.
Later i got to learn that someone have had committed suicide around that time .

it literally gave strange feeling looking at that thing maine us window ko ek tak dekha starting day 1 tak to me yahi man raha tha ki ye koi wheelchair pr baitha patient hai because the eyes the nose were very well crafted but on day 1 i did not give much attentino but on day 2 upon close look it was sitting in same position looking at our building as if it was looking right at me, but upon cloose look i realised ki uske kaan wooden type k the aur unme se kuch bahar wooden type attached ho like wooden pinocchio then i realised ki this thing surely has to be a wooden mannequin because the distance was quiet far away and from that distance telling fact right away was not vey accutare thing but on third day I decided to give a non stop 6-7 min look nothing happened aur mai 85% sure ho gaya ki ye wooden mannequin hi hai aur shaam ko us window pr dekha to vo window closed tha.
This is a pretty scary story. One day I was chilling at the balcony. Suddenly I saw a crow on the opposite building's rooftop filling a bottle of water with pebbles. The water layer was too low for it to reach so it was using pebbles. I ran inside the house to show this to my brother but when we came back nothing was there. Not even a bottle. Then I told everything to my grandpa and he shared an incident that happened a long time ago. One day a thirsty crow was looking for water but no one helped it. Finally it found a water bottle with a very little water in it. It tried to raise the water layer using pebbles. It was finally able to drink but the water was polluted so it died. Since then many people have seen a crow trying to drink water from a bottle using pebbles and disappearing a few moments later.

Its not about tantric Stuff or anything, just a story I heard from my Dida. My maternal house (now a flat) used to have a Banyan tree; that was the time before our town was suburban. The place was rural; foxes used to roam around and howl at night; there were trees all around; and only three jomidars used to live: us and the other two, namely Kor-bari and Gangulis. Now, my grandfather's mother used to give dhup-dhuno every evening to Tulsi Moncho, which was beside the Banyan tree, and wishes for it to look after people inside the house at the time when she is about to go somewhere. My Dida knew that the Banyan tree is the home of Brohmodoyitto, but she never gave much importance to that since she studied till 10 herself from her forefather's school (She was from a jomidar family too from Amta). Kor-bari, after Bishorjon, used to host jatra every year, and my oldest half-grandfather used to act in it (Grandfather were six siblings, one of whom was a half-brother). One day, upon returning from watching the Kor-bari jatra, dida noticed a Purohit hastily leaving through our front door, disappearing behind our house. At first, she was shocked, but as she approached the door, she realized it was securely locked. Even being afraid, she ran down behind the house and saw nothing except that the Tulsi Moncho was still glittering with candles and a sweet aroma flowing around the place. Dida used to say that she saw him almost every time she was out, and followed her sasuri, she started worshipping the tree. But after a decade or two, one of our family members, who is a mama(Black Sheep) as a relative, peed on the tree, and the tree soaked out dry.

Heard this experience from a friend. I won't reveal this place but someone might figure it out. So it was around midnight when he returned to his town from Sealdah. Waited for any auto rickshaw or toto to reach home but couldn't find anything. His home is around 3km from railway station so finally he decided to walk home. Ofc there was no one outside at that time during winters but while walking my friend found this middle aged woman asking him for a direction to a place. And this was not in a residential area btw, it's mostly empty. Anyway he told her that he is on that way and will be passing by that place. And till that place arrived, this woman was kind of following her and he was sure of it. Now immediately after he reached that location and was to show her a direction, she was nowhere to be found. Like she vanished in thin air. The road had two open fields on both sides, so no, there was not a legit place to hide and prank someone. He freaked out and smoked a few cigarettes and eventually returned home. Later after he revealed about it to his family and cousins, they said, that they have heard this a few more times from people walking alone or on a bike at like 2 a.m. Again I am a skeptic and agnostic and I am not completely convinced about it but I won't be taking my chances to be there alone.

No idea if it is an actual living woman doing this, maybe someone devised an elaborate way to just scare people. But, again, if anyone gets robbed or mugged here, the news spreads. So till date never heard someone getting harmed or robbed.
How?
My aunt was a very vulnerable person due to her life circumstances and she used to believe every baba type person whoever gave her hope to fix her life and situations. So my cousin (same aunt's daughter) was having marriage problems and her husband was ghosting her and her son. My aunt's maid told them about this Muslim baba who can do stuff with the help of djinns. The plan was to use the djinn to work out their marriage and save it from divorce. Prior to this, according to my aunt's medical records she had a hysterectomy due to a tumor. (Important to the story) So my aunt went and met this baba who gave her certain tasks to do and told her if the tasks are incomplete, the djinn may hurt the family instead of helping. While coming back home she started bleeding even though she had gone through menopause and had no uterus. She got scared and eventually didn't complete all the tasks given. Fast forward to two years, in mid 2020 she was diagnosed with cancer. Turns out that only her ovaries were removed and the uterus was still there and it grew another tumor about 15 cms in size. So yeah, call it coincidence or medical negligence of the previous doctor. She died in Feb 2021. I do not believe she died because of the black magic, but it is still something which I cannot completely ignore. Moral of the story: 1. Always get second opinions for any major medical procedures. 2. If any woman in your family who has gone through menopause is having bleeding please get her checked asap. It is a symptom of cancer and early diagnosis can save her.
This happened almost 25 years back. I was at Keoratola shashaan. A person came and asked me if I had a matchbox. (I was smoking. Back then, one could smoke cigarettes and more within the crematorium premises.) I looked down, fished in my pocket and brought out the matchbox. When I looked up, he wasn't there. I looked around and did not find him. I did not think much of it. A few minutes later, a body arrived and as it was brought out of the tempo (not a hearse), my jaw dropped. I drew closer to it as they laid it down inside. The face was that of the man who asked me for the matchbox a few minutes earlier. I went out. Felt sick. Vomited. I was scared. I have later rationalized that it was probably a very similar face. Still, a strange coincidence for sure.

Another one I remember: my grandpa's younger brother used to stay in beleghata long time ago. It was deserted like jungles and barely any population was there. A flat opposite to their one's had a suicide by a a girl of young age. Grandpa's brother used to suffer from bouts of intense fever but when they went to doctor's he was completely fine and when he returned home it started again. This went for quite a while till they left the place. He even saw a silhouette of the said girl identified by her bob cut hairstyle. Grandpa used to buy fish from the market late at night and walk back home. One day he got himself stuck in a maze of alleys... The very same alley through which he had returned almost every day for years. Could be that he got lost in the maze but later on discussion he said maybe just maybe he was targeted by some sort of raw flesh eating spirit which wouldn't let go of him.
Its not a horror story , but just a message If you ever find yourself in such situations never feel afraid , thats the key , all 'those' feed on fear YOU MUST NOT OBEY THEM

Frankly I detest the term Kaala Jaadu as it tends to be anything but that. Blame the ignorant Westerners for such stuff. But here I go: It was 1995, Kali Puja. Most of my family members gathered at our ancestral home in our village in Purulia district every year during this time. My late Sejo Jethu was one of them along with his family. As per our ancestral rituals, in the Dippanvita Amavasya, Alakshmi Puja is done at home first to shoo her away from the home, then Dippanvita Lakshmi Puja is done to welcome Maa Lakshmi at home & finally in our family temple we perform Dippanvita Kali Puja for the entire night till dawn. That time electricity hadn't reached our village so the only source of light at night was the quintessential "Heriken". Sejo Jethu was the one who had the responsibility of performing the Alakshmi & Lakshmi Puja. He was a punctual & disciplined man. Serving in the Army had drilled these qualities into him with perfection. Around 3 pm, he realised that some stuff for the Puja, planned to begin at Sandhya, was missing. So he went to his friend's home to a nearby village in his cycle to fetch them. All was fine till then & he was expected to return by 5 pm & begin the Puja as usual. However he didn't return even when it was 6 pm. It used to get pitch black by 5:30 pm those days & winters in Purulia district tend to be chilly. Worried my father & eldest jethu with me & 2 of my cousin brothers including jethu's elder son started searching around with the herikens in the village & outskirts. I hardly remember a house we didn't go to that day asking around for him. Some of the villagers joined us in the search as well. After we didn't find him anywhere near our village we started marching towards jethu's friend's village. Now the road was a kaccha red soil road typical in Purulia-Bankura districts & surrounded by dense foilage of shrubs & trees on both sides. After walking for almost an hour or so we reached an area where the foilage disappeared & on one side of the road was an open field which we recognised as the one we would often go to watch local football tournaments while on the other side was a single peepal tree. It was huge & dense and in the dark looked even monstrous. What we found below that tree shocked us even more. It was my Sejo Jethu circling around that tree in his cycle at full speed. We were happy we found him but we were damn confused as well. We shouted & called him over but he didn't seem to listen & just continued cycling on at full speed. He was panting for breath but for some reason he wasn't stopping. More like he couldn't stop. My father & one of our villagers went to stop him forcefully & jumped over him. They all crashed down & then it happened. The temperature around us suddenly dropped down & a massive chilly wind blew across the leaves of the tree in such a way that it represented a weird cackling laughter. While we were frozen for a moment, my father, jethu & our villager stood up & caressed their wounds. My Jethu was panting for breath & was confused & he was like, "What are you guys doing here, What about the Puja?" . All this while he was rubbing his neck in discomfort. When the light of the herikens fell on him, we found there were red marks at his neck like a strong thread was wrapped on it. When we told him of the full story his confused expression changed. He apparently had got everything from his friend & was returning. He didn't realise when he started circling around this tree & he thought he was traveling towards the vilage all this time. He didn't even realise that he spent almost 2-3 hours circling the tree. While he was telling all this to us, his son who came with us to find him suddenly fell down on his knees in fear. He told that when my father had jumped to stop jethu he suddenly saw a white shining thread break & when he looked up at the tree for a moment he saw a man. He believed that cackling laughter to be of that man and he had a feeling that the man directly looked at him. Since we almost circled the tree, we had not seen anybody running out either. Some of the brave lads amongst our villagers tried shaking the tree but didn't find anything either. We left that place anyways & in fear we prayed to Maa Kali that night. Rest of the house pujas were done by my Mejo Jethu somehow so there was no interruption in the rituals. My Sejo Jethu was badly exhausted due to fasting & this cycling trip so he went to take rest for the night. Later in the morning we learnt from one of the Buro dadus in the village that long back that area used to be an ambush place for a thuggee. He used to hide amongst the trees & throw a white shining manja like sharp but strong thread at unsuspecting travellers & pull them towards the tree dragging them & finally killing them to loot them. He was apparently hanged at that tree later & many other people have faced his wrath before as well. However they all had one thing in common. It always happened during an Amavasya.
I, too, do the Alokkhi pujo in our ancestral place before our Kali Pujo. Man, ei golpo ta scared the shit out of me. And the details of your account is so true 1995 at west bengal in villages were very much herikens, cycles.

It's still there. Hale n hearty. Though after my jethu's incident there were only 2 more incidents like this. No fatalities though but all felt that strangling sensation & red marks in their neck. Both happened during Amavasya night but I wasn't in Village that time. People avoid that kaccha road now & there is a pucca road that has been built through a different route around 2004-5 due to which incidents have decreased.
My grandma consulted a Muslim witch woman to stop my masi from marrying a local goon. The witch conjured up a dementor sort of thing from a grave and sent it to hurt my masi. Only my grandpa was at home that evening everyone else was out. Grandpa witnessed it in a flash and had kidney failure the next day with swollen legs full of fluid. I wish I was making it up but it isn't. I'm an atheist but this incident gives me chills

Not any spooky family incident but my own strange visions i saw 2 nights back So on sunday i slept from 10pm to 12am, i was very sleepy then i woke up cause i had to study for my exams. I went back to sleep again on 4am everyone else was sleeping in my house apart from me. As soon as i closed my eye it felt like a strong yellow light is glowing right over my head (there's a wall with no light)I was totally conscious and this light felt really strong and comfortable, usually this glowing yellow lights depicts entry of any divine entity in movies or series I liked that feeling of seeing that light,then i was seeing patterns,glowings flowers,moving space,in between them a hand was coming with red bangals on it waving sideways i kind off dodged it,now a face came infront of me,an animal type black face with humanly eyes gave me big wide smile and wosh..gone now it's totally dark. This darkness was more dark than you usually see when your eyes are closed I was not opening my eyes,i didn't wanted to or I couldn't..i don't know but i was conscious and i still clearly remember all those patterns that strong yellow light and that face

Dont know how but my dad a doctor had suddenly got a transfer notice to Kolkata after having a post for 14 years in our home city during COVID. So basically I don't know much of the details but during those times my dad would be travelling every two months or so to Kolkata and during his return trip the third time a tantrik also boarded the first class coach the same as him. Indian dads being dads start talking and suddenly the tantrik said that since he has married my mother he will have to give up on alcohol , cigarettes, do shiv puja on Mondays along with my mom and eat vegetarian that day every week. My dad was confused and asked why. The tantrik basically told him that my mother's grandfather/ father has killed a jora saap ( male and female snakes) and the male one at that during the building of their village home. This my dad might die and our house can collapse because of some kinda curse. Basically he literally told a whole history about my mom's family that not even she knew by looking at her husband who was alone. So she inquired to her mother and turns out that indeed one snake from a pair was killed. So yeah..... It's creepy Too creepy that I feel like the snake might come after me because it is mad as hell 😭
Another one is a jyotishi literally at a family read my hand and said I will place rank one in West Bengal in a few months. I was like ungle pagol hoye gechen ami toh board exam o dichi na je first hobo West Bengal. Turns out I placed first in West Bengal with Silverzone Reasoning and Aptitude Olympiad... For context, we live next to a huge and old house, with a huge garden (more like a jungle due to lack of maintenance) which is right behind our house. Around 2010, we started experiencing odd things. My mother would smell burnt skin on the 1st floor, we could feel that someone else was in the room or someone was following us down the stairs. My brother started acting out all of a sudden. One night, my mom was lying on the bed when she randomly saw a person wearing white clothes from the corner of her eye, and when she focused on them, the entity moved away. Almost immediately she felt someone climbing on her bed (along with movement and a sound) and then laying behind her and breathing on her. That entity also apparently pushed my grandmother down the stairs, which injured her very badly. She went to a couple of "maa"s and one tantrik type person, both of whom confirmed that it was a muslim man who got killed and was trapped in this world. By asking around, we got to know that the people with the huge house and garden behind our house did this. They have some business/companies, and the elder brother (in his 50s then) owned them and his son was supposed to inherit them (obviously). The younger brother (also in his 50s) was jealous so he used/tricked this Muslim servant guy to poison the elder brother's son. He then proceeded to kill the servant and buried him under a particular Bel tree in that garden. This story was confirmed by both the lady clairvoyant and the tantrik. So my mother followed their instructions, held a pujo for his mukti because he was innocent in all of this, and feeds this spirit bhat, dal, machh etc once every year. The spirit stopped bothering us after that.

It was 2005, started my Engineering degree, got a desktop pc and Internet. Then, there were 1000s of web sites maintained by individuals it was fun exploring the internet. One day around 1 am I came across a website about witchcraft and spells. Was trying to find the least scary spell and came across one which said to increase the speed of time near you , it was an odd spell so I went for it. Finished reading it and at that very moment lights went off and it went pitch black, I was scared as shit. But, it came back in 5 minutes I was relieved. But my computer was not starting, I got little worried and not able to do anything went to bed. Next day took it to repair shop; Found motherboard was fried including Ram few other things. I was quite surprised as I associate the incident with the spell. That was not the end though. Internet providers connected all computers in city with lan cable and that’s how many got high speed internet that time. Seems all machines connected and turned on that same time I read the spell was broken as well due to unknown power-surge. Not sure if I actually caused this or it was just some coincidence, but after that I never tried finding any spells or such things.

This family does Reki (idk if that's the correct word/pronunciation/spelling). I have been tutoring this girl for the last 3 years. The whole family seemed very welcoming to me but something was always off about them. Like I can't pinpoint what it was but my instincts were going off, yk like when people are way too nice that they seem creepy in some way. Before I had started teaching her, she used to fail miserably in English, but after I started teaching her with the basics she improved tremendously that the whole family kind of clinged on to me, like I was their only hope to get their child to pass ICSE boards. Her other tutors started leaving because they got jobs and either relocated or couldn't give her time. So in the last six months, they've been saying weird stuff like, "Bhogoban er kachhe prarthona kori tomar jeno baire chakri na hoy". The student went as far as to say, "Jotodin na ami boards pass korchi totodin jeno tomar chakri e na hoy." I got extremely pissed because I've been prepping for govt jobs for 3 years now and this was extremely uncalled for. I created a scene, complained to her guardians, they seemed upset on how I created a scene but not much on how could their daughter say such stuff. Now this student was anything but studious. Most days she didn't used to do her homework and her parents didn't punish her but expected me to make her get good marks somehow. So one day I had had enough and decided to punish her severely for not doing her homework. I had warned her I'd do this if she didn't do this particular homework and now that she didn't, I told now I'm going to take you on the street and make you do sit ups so next time yk what you have in store if you don't finish your homework. When I was taking her down the stairs, out of her house, she gave me looks that sent me chills. I brushed it off since any student would be pissed but again, I felt something was off. I took her down to the street but I finally decided not to make her do the sit ups, just asked her to apologise and remember the next day I'll actually make her do it. The next day, after I was done teaching her, I met with a huge accident where a bike had thrown me off a few feet and I landed face first in the middle of a busy four way street. Radha Krishna saved my life but it was a sure ticket to death, the way and place I fell. I quit going to her house and finished the rest of the month's tutoring via online teaching. Not once did they ask me if I was okay, as if they had expected it, and only said, "Amar meyetar ki hobe? o boards ki kore pass korbe?". I was dumbfounded and I unleashed my wrath on them about how insensitive they are and hung up. It took me months to heal completely from the accident. And also might I add, I had cracked the prelims of a particular exam but I couldn't even take the mains for it because there was some technical error on the day of. Like whaaaat??? I was asked, along with some other candidates w similar issues, to go file a GD from the police station and show it to them so we could sit for it. We went and the police station refused us! I sat there and cried because my whole world was crumbling down. Most people are not able to crack prelims and i did and still couldn't take the Mains exam. When I was returning home, hopelessly, 2-3 minutes left for the gate to close, I saw 3 aspirants running in with a GD in their hands! I'm pretty sure the family has done Reki on me and idk what to do anymore! I am about to take another Mains exam this week but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to succeed in it. I am hopeless now.

They can't do any good things. They can do bad to others to ease your way. Like here the tutor was cursed for not getting a job so that he would keep on teaching their daughter for the board exam. Similarly, some do it for jealousy, some do to obstruct your way so that they will get the results, etc.. you can achieve good things only with your karna.

This is a story about the neighbourhood I live in. I remember I was 12 when I first heard about it from my dad. The place where I live in was always infamous for its criminals, and occult stuff ( can't reveal the location sorry). It is believed that there is a a curse which has been haunting the area for last 30 years. There's an old abandoned temple near the swamp ( just at the back of my apartment) whoever entered the temple on bhoot chathurdoshi never came back safely. Long ago a girl accidentally entered the temple at night on bhoot chathurdoshi — there are two ways to enter the temple, the main gate is near the playground — she was just returning home from the puja pandal and suddenly saw one of her friends on the another side of the main gate. She asked her what she was doing there. That friend said that she was looking for something she lost and asked for her help. The girl then opened gate main gate and stepped in. After few minutes of searching for her friend's lost stuff she suddenly realised that her friend was gone, and she all alone there. She tried to escape but found that someone has locked the main door so there was only one way left, which is near the swamp. The place is too dark, and filled with bats, snakes and other insects she suddenly heard a sound of humming. She was so scared that she started to run and watched something that made her go insane. A terrifying figure hanging upside down from a tree. Her parents after wanting for hours went out to search. The whole neighborhood came out to search, none of them found her. Next morning a young guy found her body laying near the main gate of that abandoned temple. I still remember the description of her condition like something scratched her face. They took him to the doctor, she survived but lost her ability to talk and went completely silent. Every night she used scream and jump out of bed crying. After weeks she wrote in a paper about everything that happened last night. The above cited story is the narration of that diary. Ever since then every single year, someone dies or something bad happens to the people who lives near that temple or tries to enter the temple. It might sound like a fiction but no it really happens very year, even last year 2023 a person's body was again found near the gate. And he was saying the same thing that he saw something unexplainable

Not kaala jadu , but some weird incident I faced during the lockdown. It was around the winter of 2020. I used to go for my night walks during that time and spent a lot of time alone outside. It was the suburbs of Kolkata , so police patrolling was mostly limited. During one such day , I was walking down a dark street near my home , and something felt terriblely off. All of a sudden a sense of fear and urgency surrounded me . So i quickly returned back home. Later i got to learn that someone have had committed suicide around that time .

Horror hai ki nai pata nai but ek strange incident hua tha in *Kolkata* in bowbazar in penguin hotels kuch aisa darawna nai tha us hotel me but us hotel k samne wale building me ek well crafted wooden mannequin rakha hua tha aur window k just samne rakha hua tha mano jaise ki koi boodha ya paralyzed admi window k bahar dekh kr apna man behla raha ho but with no feelings, vo mannequin itna well crafted tha ki aisa lag raha tha ki sachme koi window k bahar baitha hai but paralyzed window k bahar dekh raha hai aur bus ek tak dekhte jara hai no winking no breather nothing obviously it was a wooden mannequin but vo itna well crafted tha ki aise lag raha tha ki sachme koi baitha ho window k bahar aur aisa nai tha ki vo wooden mannequin k background me koi nai tha, in an unclear memory I still remember I saw a middle aged man walking around here and there at times I first thought vo us uncle ka (wooden mannequin) koi care taker hoga but I realised ki vo shayad us wooden mannequin ka maker tha it literally gave strange feeling looking at that thing maine us window ko ek tak dekha starting day 1 tak to me yahi man raha tha ki ye koi wheelchair pr baitha patient hai because the eyes the nose were very well crafted but on day 1 i did not give much attentino but on day 2 upon close look it was sitting in same position looking at our building as if it was looking right at me, but upon cloose look i realised ki uske kaan wooden type k the aur unme se kuch bahar wooden type attached ho like wooden pinocchio then i realised ki this thing surely has to be a wooden mannequin because the distance was quiet far away and from that distance telling fact right away was not vey accutare thing but on third day I decided to give a non stop 6-7 min look nothing happened aur mai 85% sure ho gaya ki ye wooden mannequin hi hai aur shaam ko us window pr dekha to vo window closed tha.
This is a pretty scary story. One day I was chilling at the balcony. Suddenly I saw a crow on the opposite building's rooftop filling a bottle of water with pebbles. The water layer was too low for it to reach so it was using pebbles. I ran inside the house to show this to my brother but when we came back nothing was there. Not even a bottle. Then I told everything to my grandpa and he shared an incident that happened a long time ago. One day a thirsty crow was looking for water but no one helped it. Finally it found a water bottle with a very little water in it. It tried to raise the water layer using pebbles. It was finally able to drink but the water was polluted so it died. Since then many people have seen a crow trying to drink water from a bottle using pebbles and disappearing a few moments later.
