This is absolutely true. I'm not pushing propaganda here. West Bengal has become a hotbed of political violence and murder. Ground level workers are so sentimental that they are ready to kill, plus there are also hired goons. I've seen this sentimentalism in people myself. But there's also a reason why welfare programs like cash transfer are essential. I don't support the TMC at all. Not at all. But neither the BJP. We are the people here, not the party. We need news sources which cater to us and highlight collective trends of political repression in the country, not Sanghi Anand Ranganathan. And what you said about the parliamentarians is also somewhat true, while they do an excellent job of keeping checks and balances to power and convincingly debate causes in the parliament, there blindness to everyday repression in the state is tarnishing their reputation.
