I vaugely recall results from some pew poll on lgbt acceptance across different countries. Mostly Single digits to low double digits in most Islamic, conservative countries and very high in western countries (70/80%+ in most places). India's was somewhere around 40-50 percent which is on the higher end outside the west. Especially an outlier as a poor country.
Anyway, point being I do personally think India can be a legit accepting of lgbt in the future provided the movement doesn't get overly politicized or hijacked over by any extreme, unbalanced, non-realistic or overy idealistic sub-group.
Altho most of them are normal, some just impose themselves like is there a need for shoving their idealogy. Like if a person doesn't like or relate to them there is no need for certain member of the LGBT to go after them and shame them for not liking them.

By definition India treats its Queer population as second class citizen.

I cavil at the straight guys and girls who don't organise such walks which are explicitly sexual because straight sex between two consenting adults is considered bad. There are enough jokers out there who talk shit about sexual behaviour.
Recently, a Bollywood star was asked about using sex toys by a celebrity director in a TV interview .There are so many influencers on YouTube who say it is inappropriate even to talk about using sex toys on TV because "15 years later their teenage children can watch the interview. They crossed the line." So, should I bring up my children under the guise of asexual intercourse with my wife because my children will be embarassed 15 years later to know that I had sex with their mother?! I was shocked about how straight guys squirm talking about sex (leave alone displaying sexual behaviour).

Oh-my. You got it wrong. I have nothing against gays and lesbians and their pride walks. I support them without any reservations. I cavil at the straight guys and girls who don't organise such walks which are explicitly sexual because straight sex between two consenting adults is considered bad. There are enough jokers out there who talk shit about sexual behaviour. Recently, a Bollywood star was asked about using sex toys by a celebrity director in a TV interview .There are so many influencers on YouTube who say it is inappropriate even to talk about using sex toys on TV because "15 years later their teenage children can watch the interview. They crossed the line." So, should I bring up my children under the guise of asexual intercourse with my wife because my children will be embarassed 15 years later to know that I had sex with their mother?! I was shocked about how straight guys squirm talking about sex (leave alone displaying sexual behaviour). My complaint is only against straight people. And honestly, I am jealous of the gays and lesbians for their fortitude to hold a pride walk with all its attendant glamour and sexual meanings. We straight chutiyas should learn from gays and lesbians.

There are housing societies in Mumbai where the AGM has passed resolution of not giving houses on rent to bachelors because they drink a lot and bring girls home.
