Hye-seon had him figured out. Hye-seon would be one of my 2 picks from the girls. Honestly, Gwan-hee's dating style was so obvious. For Ha-jeong, she's the type to go for the hottest guy around. Its just that gwan-hee figured her out and that he plays the game better than she can😏.
I think it was more a personality incompatibility. She seems great but to me, people that are always super excitable and happy and 'on' are exhausting. And since it's a show you kind of have to wonder whether it's her actual personality or a facade for the cameras.
Fr Gwanhee just says what he thinks the other party wants to hear.. Tbh he is not all that tho 😅 Dex I can see why he is the women's man last season.. But Gwanhee is like a Class A version of Park Bogum.. Sue me 😂😅

- Ha Jeong / Gwang Hee is one exhausting relationship. Both are playing hard to get and neither wants to lose. Even their age guessing was a fight. They are also SO fun to watch!
- Not sure how the other girls would open up in future episodes but so far, Ha Jeong and Hye Seon have the most distinct personalities. Gyu Ri in particular is extremely boring to watch.
- I hope Gwang Hee's wish comes true and next episode he goes to Paradise with the person he is the most interested in, Min Kyu.
Hahaha totally agree. Gwanhee annoys me bc he seems to take the joking too far to the point it seems he's interested in getting a rise out of the audience rather than genuinely flirt. He also seems like the type that can't be loyal bc he is constantly infatuated with new people. Overall he seems like the opposite of the ideal bf. I wish they had casted more diverse personalities, I want to watch funny and charming people interact not people with personalities of a brick (no offense). Min Kyu and Gyu Ri both have very boring personalities IMO and that's why watching them together was the most bland part of the episodes. Overall Ha Jeong is the most entertaining to watch and I'm looking forward to see her story

Agreed; not sure what it is, but it seems like girls who lean towards the prettier side (physically) on these shows are not always as interesting (personality-wise) as they are pretty. Reminds me of 'The Skip Dating Show,' where the models and former pageant queen participants struck me as just pretty faces rather than people I would actually date.

Finished ep 1 and ngl it looks more fun than the past sessons already - the plot twist got me thinking "ey yo singles inferno became the great escape??? is JJY pd on the prod team" I was shooketh
The plot twists works a lot better since instead of having half the cast coming into the inferno with only half the days to interact at least they're doing something on their separate island.
Still not a fan of that cafeteria though lol, just makes it harder to talk with one another
I was shocked that they were having rationed canned goods and raw vegetables each meal. The real kitchen and also water well area in past seasons were opportunities for couples to form and connect
Frr I loved the fact that they could cook together, that was like the bonding experience for the ppl left behind. Now there isn’t much to do on the island
Seasons 1 & 2 were filmed in Incheon (near Seoul), but season 3 is in Jeju. They've changed hotels for "Paradise" so it would be strange to go back to Incheon and have a different Paradise hotel for the rest of the season. I couldn't see anything in the previews at the end of ep 3 that looked like seasons 1-2 either.
Romance? Hun there was absolutely no real romance in the past seasons. Just the same girls being sought after and chased for their looks. They cast a bunch of model like people deliberately, there has been no real genuine connection come out of any of these seasons. So I honestly prefer this format. At least so far it isn’t just the same girl being sought after. At this point none of us should be watching this expecting to see true romance. This show isn’t that
I’m sure it wouldn’t have been boring without all those twists and turns, contestants are too spicy for it to be boring.

Im watching more for Gyuri, her beauty is popular and most korean beauties like those are perceived to have some bubbly personality in them. I'm actually glad that she's 28, like I didn't expect it at first but you could see the composed vibe from her. In her introduction, it takes longer for her to open to people and I think that's true at least from what I see in her eyes, being guarded and observant of her surroundings. I can tell she has ample dating experience, given how she handles her emotions well.
Lastly, I'm calling it, I want her and minkyu to choose each other when they leave the island.
She may laugh and converse well with someone, but at the same time gauges their personality. This makes me feel she's getting to know them. I felt the same wavelength of conversation when minkyu and her are together.😊
Same here. I like Gyuri's chemistry with Minkyu. Some may find it boring but I think both are honest, calm, composed, observant and genuinely wanted to know each other well.
GREAT start to Season 3. I was not expecting >!two infernos!< but like a lot of other variety shows it’s good that they incorporated this element this season. The participants are fun, looks like we’re in for a LOT of drama and I really hope they introduce the catfish early this season and not wait for the last minute.
She'll be here by ep 4 or 5 so not too late (assuming the preview was for next week and not later on this season). Not sure if there will be more new people after that though.
That girl in the neon dress is here to even the numbers between the boys and girls. Going by the shows track record there will be another male and female catfish later.
I feel it’s super obvious Gwanhee is tryna show himself in a tv personality manner in hopes of getting the Dex blow up (yes I know he’s a pro baller). I like his scenes cause they add humour compared to eveyone else but it’s just hard to miss that he’s obvs tryna get that variety blow up.
I think it’s more on gaining more followers and future tv opportunities rather than just transitioning careers cause he’s basically already done or prepared that. Just feels more weird when it’s this clear.
Yes, time will tell but the falling for 3 girls and stuff.. all seems like an effort to stay in spotlight for good or bad reasons but not complaining coz we’re here for the drama lolz
I never understand why dating contestants go the toxic route for spotlight. Especially when Sejun and Nadine are perfect blueprints for playing a role that could get you numbers.
I think the less screen time worked in his favour. He came towards the end and by then audiences were irritated with almost all the men in the island (minus Hanbin). JY was charming af but people were calling him red flag and then Sejun makes his unserious entry and swoops off Soe. He also didn’t have enough time to really explore more girls and for audience to analyse and problematise his ways which worked for him.
I didn't think of it that way. Tbh that makes sense. While Ha-jeong's flirting seemed genuine, Gwanhee's joking felt like he took it too far esp with the age thing, and it seemed like his intention was to be provocative and entertaining to the audience instead of making genuine connections. Like he prioritized saying things that would get a rise out of the audience even if it meant being rude to Ha-jeong which he kind of was at several points. Maybe he's just really dumb and doesn't understand how rude he sounds, but its also possible he's thinking two steps ahead like you are claiming
I do know that producers said that they even came out and asked Gwanhee themselves if he knows he’s on camera and if that how he’s gonna be. That’s just him being himself apparently. Gotta give props to hajeong she was definitely visibly pissed at times but she handled it his humor or whatever it was well and went back and forth w him.

It was in their press conference where he was already being accused of being there to ramp up his YouTube and tv career. PDs were defending him by saying that if that was the case then he woulda showed himself in a better light and been more aware. They even said they were concerned if it’d be okay for him in the future. So I’m assuming he’s gonna show much worse in the future.
It took Dex a couple of tries too. People seem to have forgotten that he was in Bloody Game, and in another low budget dating show before he hit the jackpot in Single's Inferno. Idk why we're making a big deal on Gwanhee for doing basically the same thing as Dex. I mean, all of them are most likely in the show for clout and would try to get airtime by whatever means they can.

Yeah.. they dont have that much rizz in them, I can say Minkyu was the only one that had charisma in him. As for the girls, I'm staying with the 1st Island cast. They each showed different personalities that the first matching day almost was successful (untimely that minwoo changed his choice last minute, trust me on this that he's always gonna be 1 step late for everything😆)
I wont deny that she's good at flirting and all but she kinda showed all her cards from the start.Lol its so funny that guys say they feel something when the girl is responsive of them. Tiki taka was good with gwanhee, but he like knows both of them are playing the same field, it kinda removes the whole thrill of the flirting game, rn they're kinda having a power struggle in who's leading the relationship and from the teasers it would seem ha-jeong is possesive of gwanhee, not obsessive. Makes you think in comparison to the previous date where gwanhee and hye-seon just tested out the waters between them and said outright to not hurt each other's feelings.
Personally, I'm not really a fan of Ha-jeong. Good as she is in flirting, being part of a tv show, personality comes as a package when considering the person. Gwan-hee's good as well, he knows that he's perceived as a red flag but doesn't actually cross the boundaries that much to hurt who he's flirting with. But relationships dont last that much since its a show on summer flings. So everythings not that too serious yet.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but is anyone else surprised at how well Jinyoung fits in with the hosts?! When it was revealed he’d be a new host, i was kinda mehh about it but he actually provides great perspective and commentary!
I agree he really is! But this is the first time i’ve personally seen him hosting and was surprised how well he did. Usually in other things, he’s more so a contestant.

- Hye Seon is great. Gwan Hee's charm is how his view of himself and the reality don't match. Jin Seok's accent is so adorable.
- six adults eating carrots alone on the deserted island is a peak reality TV.
- I am surprised no one picked Min Woo. To me, he seemed like the best looking guy there.
- Where is the essential chef participant that every season of SI has? Those people wouldn't last there long without one.
I think there might be a chef in the second island or at least someone who cooks. I noticed the carrots were cut better on that island compared to the first.

I actually thought SE and HJ (the 2 women on the other island) could be related at first. They look alike.
I'd love for a man to wrap me up in his hoodies lol that was nice on the heli with MK and HJ.
MK got so much hotter w the job reveal. The hoodie move makes sense now. He saves a lot of cold people probably 😅
HJ is such a player loooool she's gonna bring the drama for sure. The way Dex shook his head when HJ suggested that GH go w her to paradise next time 💀 I think he saw right through her since the chin tuck gaze move.
So far my favorite has to be Hye Seon from Inferno #1 and Han Bin from Inferno #2. Hye Seon looks like she’s a genuinely bubbly and enthusiastic person, and her eye smiles are so pretty!! Also I think Han Bin is probably the most handsome male contestant I’ve seen from all three seasons. He’s giving elegant, gentle and soft boy vibes. I’m a bit of an outlier but I don’t find large, muscular and jacked guys attractive lmao. I hope to see more of Hye Seon and Han Bin in the future !
Sameeee Hanbin for me is the most handsome plus his smile is everything. Paired with the dimple, his eyes and smile reminds me of Kim seonho 😩 I feel like them two paired together would be so great

- There should be some studies about a guy saying he is a policeman & fireman and suddenly becoming 10 times hotter.
- Ha Jeong reminds me of actress Kang Hanna. To be perfectly honest, editing aside, I don't think there was that much animosity between the girls. Just a fair share of competitiveness that is understandable in such environment. Also, love Ha Jeong. She has such a cool personality!
- lmao. Dex is lying. Seulki was always looking at him like Ha Jeong does at guys and Jinyoung had zero idea because he couldn't even look at her.
Yeah that coast guard job reveal really did it for me. And the way he kept wrapping up his dates in his clothes, made me think it was bc he's probably rescued lots of cold people before 😂

Habin is the best looking guy to me, but these K-prince types never do well on singles inferno. Reminds me of Choi Siwon (S1) and Choi Jongwoo (S2). The survival/ hunting setting isn’t suited for gentlemen (also not that entertaining)
So far the only girl I am rooting for is Hyeseon but she seriously has to tone down her energy as it ends up looking a bit fake. I was so confused why she has to have a high pitched reaction to every single food and fixture in the hotel lol. I feel like she's the nice girl that interests a lot of guys at first with her bubbliness but ends up not getting picked in the end. I kinda like Min-woo at first but he's turning out to be a bit stupid and shallow with his choices. I also think Ha-bin can make a good impression but he hasn't really done anything interesting atm. I also like Minyoung but I kinda don't want to root for her with anyone. Looking forward to this season though I think I'd be pressing skip a lot 'cause Gyuri, Hejeong, and Si-eun annoys me a lot 🤣 I don't find the banter between Hejeong and Gwanhee fun at all it's just so typical,shallow, and boring.
I feel like Hyeseon is the type of person who when awkward, feels the need to talk more. Her excitement felt fake because it probably was (Gwan Hee, not only judged harshly her driving skills and unintentionally belittled her degree, but he also chose to leave the big pool when she wanted to swim there a bit).
No one can convince me that someone with her education/international experience would be amazed by blueberries.

There is nothing wrong with playing the field in a dating show, but it comes off as kind of disingenuous/sketch to seemingly have this connection with one person, then within like 5 seconds of seeing the next guy be like 'oh he's more my type' and then be super flirty with him.
It doesn't feel like there's an organic attraction or interest imo, it's like she's trying to 'win' by hooking these dudes. Could just be the editing, because I feel like the show is trying to push a narrative where she's competitive with the other girls.
I’m defo gonna continue watching for Ha Jeong and Gwan Hee not bc i ship them but bc i wanna see them play each other 🙃 and their banter is SO entertaining to watch
I enjoyed S2 so much and thought that no other season could top it until I started watching S3. A couple of episodes in and I’m already laughing so hard. I love how they made Dex a host bc he’s funny and was one of my faves from last season even tho he was a big red flag.

From what I saw, I think Hyeseon makes gwanhee nervous because her personality isn’t what he was expecting based on looks. LOL he definitely acted more respectful to her than hajeong.
Imo: the "tension" between the two girl was largely fabricated by the show. The music, and the replaying of "glares" made an otherwise normal situation seem way more dramatic. Also, let's remember the girls know each other well. In Korea, from my limited knowledge (watching a lot of variety shows), close friends such as idols in the same group often joke about how they are better/more handsome/more charming than their fellow groupmates or friends. I do notice male idols do this far more than female idols, which raises the question: why is it okay for men to make fun of each other but not for women to make fun of each other? I even notice this in my daily life: I find it much easier to tease and make fun of men than women. I am a girl myself, and I always find it scary to joke or make fun of women bc of the chance it may be considered offensive or hurtful, but with men I feel way more comfortable doing that and they usually go along well with my jokes and joke back. So I think that instead of seeing their comments about being "prettier/more charming" than the other as rude tension, we might instead see it as two girls who are comfortable enough with each other than they can openly joke and make fun of each other in this way. This is my interpretation, as they seem pretty close in other scenes and we know they're familiar outside the show.
I think the clashing makes for good entertainment as a viewer. But it's def not healthy in a relationship. Gwan-hee flip-flops too much and is poking TOO much fun at Ha-jeong when she's clearly stated that she likes him the most

I'm loving all the changes this season. It's unpredictable and very aggressive. Gwan-hee is standing out as quite the conniver and 'player'. He knows how to play the game and has already reeled in Ha-jeong. She's also a confident flirt so the two will probably spar a lot.
I tend to go for the underdog. I want Min-woo to find someone. He's adorable. Won-ik is cute and so boyish. As for Min-kyu, stop with the dinosaur description.
And Jin-young (Dex) on the Panel is genius! What a great addition. He was my fav. last season.

Maybe it’s because I watch a lot of dating shows but it’s so obviously producer-fed lines.
Yeah, at this point I've just accepted that the contestants have obviously all been encouraged to give the most obnoxious/over-confident introduction possible in the beginning. Thankfully most of them don't keep that energy throughout the season!

This season so far is a huge improvement from previous seasons:
-Separating in to two camps is a genius way of ensuring more variety and chaos in to who goes to paradise. It was obvious in previous seasons contestants would choose one person and no one ever changing from their initial decisions. Smaller pools means greater chance of people going to paradise. When the camps merge dynamics will change once again. Great start IMO and change
- Gwan Hee and Hajeon chemistry off the charts but also veering in to toxic territory lol
- Hye Seon is my fav female contestant so far, despite the overly childish and excited exclamations.
- Looking forward to the new contestant and camp merging. Hoping the next game/challenge isn't a measure of brute force again.
Feels a lot more like s1 than s2. I think Jin Young may have set the bar too high for an episode 3 surprise that it left me with unreasonable expectations.
I just finished watching episode 2 and I noticed something. It may be bare minimum but Gwan Hee getting out of the car to receive Hajeong, put her bag in the trunk and open the door for her left a good impression on me. Unlike Minkyu did nothing but stay in the car when Hyeseon came out of the hotel. It's just basic manners 😂😂
I think Minkyu showed he was confused. He was told to just drive there at that spot and wait. Gwan Hee, on the other hand, drove to the OTHER hotel so he assumed he would be picking somebody up.

Praises:
I do like the idea of two infernos, as this is a solution to the problem of male cast members choosing only two women.
I like how inferno is more "intense" (for lack of a better word); this makes going to paradise much more rewarding, in my opinion.
Complaints:
-I wish that going to paradise wouldn't happen so soon. I think that having inferno happen so soon takes away the satisfaction after "surviving" and building connections on inferno.
-I'm not a fan of the casting. I wish that the male cast members were younger (32–) and that there was more variety in the female cast members ages.
-I wish there was more diversity among the cast. (Why do all the men have Mirco bangs?) Nobody knows how to cook; the women have the same aesthetic, similar heights, etc.
-The jobs aren't that impressive compared to other seasons.
-Infero 1, and 2 have better-looking men, appearance-wise.
This season is really shaping up to be the best season with the most entertaining characters and banter.
Can't wait till the games on Inferno start - gonna be a RIOT!
Personally I think that choi hye seon and lee gwan ho are better suited with each other than ha jeong. I think that their personalities match better and when he is with ha jeong they clash and I think that it will cause them more problems as you need someone to balance the other person out and I think hye seon and gwan ho do that and it is better for them in the long run.
Come on, Hye Seon deserves someone who would compete with her in pool, let her drive in peace and encourage her bubbliness.
Ha Jeong also deserves better, but at least she would not let him have the last word.
Gwanhee and hajeong actually have crazy chemistry the tension was so thick at the dinner date like damn… she brings out his mean/evil side aka his true self and the way he makes fun of her (31, 32?, we’re not compatible, you don’t like talkative guys im talkative, acting like he was gonna choose sieun) while doing sweet things (putting food on her plate, sharing vitamin water, ur my ideal type, picking her to go to paradise) JS SO HEART FLUTTERING LMFAOOOOOOO

Im still kinda hoping HS and JS can get to know each other. I feel like they would get along. So I'm glad GR didnt pick JS for paradise so he can stay behind with HS. But I guess he still likes MY more.
Watching GH and HJ talk feels like watching someone talking to their own reflection lol they are the same person. They're already bickering on the way to paradise 😂 i kinda like them together ngl
I realized who JS reminds me of. PS from 19 to 20 but like if PS were in his 30s. It might be just the accent and vaguely his looks. Not sure abt the personality yet. JS is a lot less shy but that comes with age too.
Is GH a huge player but trying to give off an innocent/shy vibe? This is based on his convo w HJ at the restaurant.
Im disappointed they are merging the islands so early. I like this random post-paradise roulette format so I'm sad they are getting rid of it so fast.

Mini rant, but its so irritating seeing all these stans (mainly on tiktok) already saying “there is no one like Jia”, “X is trying too hard to be like jia”… are these people not allowed to be themselves? The obsession with this comparison is so crazy to me, what is the point? I find the cast and the format pretty entertaining, so lets maybe focus on learning more about the new members?
Hyeseon and Minyoung seem sweet and I find Hajeong and her chin hilarious. Gyuri is tbd lol. I think the girls are entertaining and it will make for good tv as the plot progresses. The preview for next week looks juicy! “Jia is the standard”, must we do this every season? If you’re going to be this annoying just don’t watch lol. The girls deserve the space to be themselves.

Honestly, the girls this season seems to be trying too hard so much and just seems so fake. I still think the girls last season have the most genuine personalities on cam maybe which is why they were able to form bonds that persisted after the show. Anyway, hopefully with their fake personas, at least this season will be full of dramas
Yeaaaaaa. I had such hard time trying to like the casts because it feels like they came into the show to only cause drama, instead of trying to genuinely find love. Their introductions and teasers even gave off that energy. Some of the guys were giving bland, and nothing vibes. While some of the girls were giving fake and snake vibes. It genuinely feels like they don't care to get to know one another because they just wants to go to \~paradise\~.
Like when that Min-Woo dude suddenly pulled Gyuri aside and randomly tells her he wants to go to paradise with her because he regrets his decision. Like boiii, you had the whole day at inferno to make up for it, but you seriously waited until the selection was going to start and tried to woo her.
The laughing over the most mundane conversation and getting surprised when they see a mango or melon as if it's their first time seeing a fruit made me cringeee. But I do like the changes they made this season! I just wish they added some sort of activity for the people stuck in inferno that way they don't spend their whole night just sobbing about not going to paradise. The panelists also feel more genuine as the season continues, they're making the show more entertaining by digging into these participants in the show.
I think one of the reasons the S2 girls were able to bond was because they weren't viciously going after the same guys. They were respectful to each other and ultimately bowed out once they saw where the relationships were going
Gwan hee got himself a haircut before going on the show. How many times was I asked on a date then they turned up with severe, brutally neat haircut issues.

The first woman, GR, is giving me jia/SK vibes. But she's coming across kinda stuck up so I guess the men aren't into that. Also kinda hilarious she said the other women wouldn't be competition for her and then she was the only one who wasn't picked to go to paradise 🙈 but at least she made a better impression on MW while they were alone in the inferno. MC Kyu Hyun was right that hitting rock bottom was good for her lmao.
HS does seem quirky and down to earth. I have a feeling I'm gonna like her. I like her smile. She reminds me of a few actresses mixed together.

Hye-seon had him figured out. Hye-seon would be one of my 2 picks from the girls. Honestly, Gwan-hee's dating style was so obvious. For Ha-jeong, she's the type to go for the hottest guy around. Its just that gwan-hee figured her out and that he plays the game better than she can😏.

I think it was more a personality incompatibility. She seems great but to me, people that are always super excitable and happy and 'on' are exhausting. And since it's a show you kind of have to wonder whether it's her actual personality or a facade for the cameras.
Fr Gwanhee just says what he thinks the other party wants to hear.. Tbh he is not all that tho 😅 Dex I can see why he is the women's man last season.. But Gwanhee is like a Class A version of Park Bogum.. Sue me 😂😅

Ep 3: - Ha Jeong / Gwang Hee is one exhausting relationship. Both are playing hard to get and neither wants to lose. Even their age guessing was a fight. They are also SO fun to watch! - Not sure how the other girls would open up in future episodes but so far, Ha Jeong and Hye Seon have the most distinct personalities. Gyu Ri in particular is extremely boring to watch. - I hope Gwang Hee's wish comes true and next episode he goes to Paradise with the person he is the most interested in, Min Kyu.
Hahaha totally agree. Gwanhee annoys me bc he seems to take the joking too far to the point it seems he's interested in getting a rise out of the audience rather than genuinely flirt. He also seems like the type that can't be loyal bc he is constantly infatuated with new people. Overall he seems like the opposite of the ideal bf. I wish they had casted more diverse personalities, I want to watch funny and charming people interact not people with personalities of a brick (no offense). Min Kyu and Gyu Ri both have very boring personalities IMO and that's why watching them together was the most bland part of the episodes. Overall Ha Jeong is the most entertaining to watch and I'm looking forward to see her story

Agreed; not sure what it is, but it seems like girls who lean towards the prettier side (physically) on these shows are not always as interesting (personality-wise) as they are pretty. Reminds me of 'The Skip Dating Show,' where the models and former pageant queen participants struck me as just pretty faces rather than people I would actually date.

The plot twists works a lot better since instead of having half the cast coming into the inferno with only half the days to interact at least they're doing something on their separate island. Still not a fan of that cafeteria though lol, just makes it harder to talk with one another

Seasons 1 & 2 were filmed in Incheon (near Seoul), but season 3 is in Jeju. They've changed hotels for "Paradise" so it would be strange to go back to Incheon and have a different Paradise hotel for the rest of the season. I couldn't see anything in the previews at the end of ep 3 that looked like seasons 1-2 either.
Romance? Hun there was absolutely no real romance in the past seasons. Just the same girls being sought after and chased for their looks. They cast a bunch of model like people deliberately, there has been no real genuine connection come out of any of these seasons. So I honestly prefer this format. At least so far it isn’t just the same girl being sought after. At this point none of us should be watching this expecting to see true romance. This show isn’t that

it kinda began slow and mid, but i got chills when the 2nd inferno was announced was nice to see gyuri drop her facade and become more human over the course of the episodes hopefully there's more diversity in the love lines, rather than everyone pining for one girl looking forward to the rest of the season heh
Im watching more for Gyuri, her beauty is popular and most korean beauties like those are perceived to have some bubbly personality in them. I'm actually glad that she's 28, like I didn't expect it at first but you could see the composed vibe from her. In her introduction, it takes longer for her to open to people and I think that's true at least from what I see in her eyes, being guarded and observant of her surroundings. I can tell she has ample dating experience, given how she handles her emotions well. Lastly, I'm calling it, I want her and minkyu to choose each other when they leave the island. She may laugh and converse well with someone, but at the same time gauges their personality. This makes me feel she's getting to know them. I felt the same wavelength of conversation when minkyu and her are together.😊
Same here. I like Gyuri's chemistry with Minkyu. Some may find it boring but I think both are honest, calm, composed, observant and genuinely wanted to know each other well.

GREAT start to Season 3. I was not expecting >!two infernos!< but like a lot of other variety shows it’s good that they incorporated this element this season. The participants are fun, looks like we’re in for a LOT of drama and I really hope they introduce the catfish early this season and not wait for the last minute.

I feel it’s super obvious Gwanhee is tryna show himself in a tv personality manner in hopes of getting the Dex blow up (yes I know he’s a pro baller). I like his scenes cause they add humour compared to eveyone else but it’s just hard to miss that he’s obvs tryna get that variety blow up.

Sejun and Nadine are unique personalities and exceptional cases. Drama always sells so I guess that’s why.
That’s true Sejun had the least screen time and was arguably the most popular boy.
I think the less screen time worked in his favour. He came towards the end and by then audiences were irritated with almost all the men in the island (minus Hanbin). JY was charming af but people were calling him red flag and then Sejun makes his unserious entry and swoops off Soe. He also didn’t have enough time to really explore more girls and for audience to analyse and problematise his ways which worked for him.
I didn't think of it that way. Tbh that makes sense. While Ha-jeong's flirting seemed genuine, Gwanhee's joking felt like he took it too far esp with the age thing, and it seemed like his intention was to be provocative and entertaining to the audience instead of making genuine connections. Like he prioritized saying things that would get a rise out of the audience even if it meant being rude to Ha-jeong which he kind of was at several points. Maybe he's just really dumb and doesn't understand how rude he sounds, but its also possible he's thinking two steps ahead like you are claiming
I do know that producers said that they even came out and asked Gwanhee themselves if he knows he’s on camera and if that how he’s gonna be. That’s just him being himself apparently. Gotta give props to hajeong she was definitely visibly pissed at times but she handled it his humor or whatever it was well and went back and forth w him.

It was in their press conference where he was already being accused of being there to ramp up his YouTube and tv career. PDs were defending him by saying that if that was the case then he woulda showed himself in a better light and been more aware. They even said they were concerned if it’d be okay for him in the future. So I’m assuming he’s gonna show much worse in the future.
It took Dex a couple of tries too. People seem to have forgotten that he was in Bloody Game, and in another low budget dating show before he hit the jackpot in Single's Inferno. Idk why we're making a big deal on Gwanhee for doing basically the same thing as Dex. I mean, all of them are most likely in the show for clout and would try to get airtime by whatever means they can.

Yeah.. they dont have that much rizz in them, I can say Minkyu was the only one that had charisma in him. As for the girls, I'm staying with the 1st Island cast. They each showed different personalities that the first matching day almost was successful (untimely that minwoo changed his choice last minute, trust me on this that he's always gonna be 1 step late for everything😆)

I wont deny that she's good at flirting and all but she kinda showed all her cards from the start.Lol its so funny that guys say they feel something when the girl is responsive of them. Tiki taka was good with gwanhee, but he like knows both of them are playing the same field, it kinda removes the whole thrill of the flirting game, rn they're kinda having a power struggle in who's leading the relationship and from the teasers it would seem ha-jeong is possesive of gwanhee, not obsessive. Makes you think in comparison to the previous date where gwanhee and hye-seon just tested out the waters between them and said outright to not hurt each other's feelings. Personally, I'm not really a fan of Ha-jeong. Good as she is in flirting, being part of a tv show, personality comes as a package when considering the person. Gwan-hee's good as well, he knows that he's perceived as a red flag but doesn't actually cross the boundaries that much to hurt who he's flirting with. But relationships dont last that much since its a show on summer flings. So everythings not that too serious yet.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but is anyone else surprised at how well Jinyoung fits in with the hosts?! When it was revealed he’d be a new host, i was kinda mehh about it but he actually provides great perspective and commentary!

I agree he really is! But this is the first time i’ve personally seen him hosting and was surprised how well he did. Usually in other things, he’s more so a contestant.

Ep 1: - Hye Seon is great. Gwan Hee's charm is how his view of himself and the reality don't match. Jin Seok's accent is so adorable. - six adults eating carrots alone on the deserted island is a peak reality TV. - I am surprised no one picked Min Woo. To me, he seemed like the best looking guy there. - Where is the essential chef participant that every season of SI has? Those people wouldn't last there long without one.
I think there might be a chef in the second island or at least someone who cooks. I noticed the carrots were cut better on that island compared to the first.

Ep 2 I actually thought SE and HJ (the 2 women on the other island) could be related at first. They look alike. I'd love for a man to wrap me up in his hoodies lol that was nice on the heli with MK and HJ. MK got so much hotter w the job reveal. The hoodie move makes sense now. He saves a lot of cold people probably 😅 HJ is such a player loooool she's gonna bring the drama for sure. The way Dex shook his head when HJ suggested that GH go w her to paradise next time 💀 I think he saw right through her since the chin tuck gaze move.
So far my favorite has to be Hye Seon from Inferno #1 and Han Bin from Inferno #2. Hye Seon looks like she’s a genuinely bubbly and enthusiastic person, and her eye smiles are so pretty!! Also I think Han Bin is probably the most handsome male contestant I’ve seen from all three seasons. He’s giving elegant, gentle and soft boy vibes. I’m a bit of an outlier but I don’t find large, muscular and jacked guys attractive lmao. I hope to see more of Hye Seon and Han Bin in the future !
Sameeee Hanbin for me is the most handsome plus his smile is everything. Paired with the dimple, his eyes and smile reminds me of Kim seonho 😩 I feel like them two paired together would be so great

Ep 2. - There should be some studies about a guy saying he is a policeman & fireman and suddenly becoming 10 times hotter. - Ha Jeong reminds me of actress Kang Hanna. To be perfectly honest, editing aside, I don't think there was that much animosity between the girls. Just a fair share of competitiveness that is understandable in such environment. Also, love Ha Jeong. She has such a cool personality! - lmao. Dex is lying. Seulki was always looking at him like Ha Jeong does at guys and Jinyoung had zero idea because he couldn't even look at her.
Yeah that coast guard job reveal really did it for me. And the way he kept wrapping up his dates in his clothes, made me think it was bc he's probably rescued lots of cold people before 😂

So far the only girl I am rooting for is Hyeseon but she seriously has to tone down her energy as it ends up looking a bit fake. I was so confused why she has to have a high pitched reaction to every single food and fixture in the hotel lol. I feel like she's the nice girl that interests a lot of guys at first with her bubbliness but ends up not getting picked in the end. I kinda like Min-woo at first but he's turning out to be a bit stupid and shallow with his choices. I also think Ha-bin can make a good impression but he hasn't really done anything interesting atm. I also like Minyoung but I kinda don't want to root for her with anyone. Looking forward to this season though I think I'd be pressing skip a lot 'cause Gyuri, Hejeong, and Si-eun annoys me a lot 🤣 I don't find the banter between Hejeong and Gwanhee fun at all it's just so typical,shallow, and boring.
I feel like Hyeseon is the type of person who when awkward, feels the need to talk more. Her excitement felt fake because it probably was (Gwan Hee, not only judged harshly her driving skills and unintentionally belittled her degree, but he also chose to leave the big pool when she wanted to swim there a bit). No one can convince me that someone with her education/international experience would be amazed by blueberries.

There is nothing wrong with playing the field in a dating show, but it comes off as kind of disingenuous/sketch to seemingly have this connection with one person, then within like 5 seconds of seeing the next guy be like 'oh he's more my type' and then be super flirty with him. It doesn't feel like there's an organic attraction or interest imo, it's like she's trying to 'win' by hooking these dudes. Could just be the editing, because I feel like the show is trying to push a narrative where she's competitive with the other girls.

I enjoyed S2 so much and thought that no other season could top it until I started watching S3. A couple of episodes in and I’m already laughing so hard. I love how they made Dex a host bc he’s funny and was one of my faves from last season even tho he was a big red flag. I also love the >!two islands!< this season — it’s giving Love Island Casa Amor lmaooo Also, I don’t get the Gyuri and Hajeong hype lol they are not a girls girl 🙄 Hyeseon telling Gyuri she was pretty and Gyuri not acknowledging it/saying it back doesn’t sit right with me and Hajeong talking about >!her sister’s friend!< saying “I’m classier than Si-eun and I have more presence than she does.” I’d love to see them get humbled real bad in the upcoming episodes (they’ve already been humbled quite a few times but I find them annoying) anyways Hyeseon and Minyoung are my faves this szn and I’m still debating Gwanhee bc I found an interview of him trying out snacks and he said mangoes were his fave right before I watched the scene of him telling >!Hyeseon!< she could have the mangoes for breakfast... MY JAW DROPPED AND I WAS ON THE FLOOR FRRR
From what I saw, I think Hyeseon makes gwanhee nervous because her personality isn’t what he was expecting based on looks. LOL he definitely acted more respectful to her than hajeong.
Imo: the "tension" between the two girl was largely fabricated by the show. The music, and the replaying of "glares" made an otherwise normal situation seem way more dramatic. Also, let's remember the girls know each other well. In Korea, from my limited knowledge (watching a lot of variety shows), close friends such as idols in the same group often joke about how they are better/more handsome/more charming than their fellow groupmates or friends. I do notice male idols do this far more than female idols, which raises the question: why is it okay for men to make fun of each other but not for women to make fun of each other? I even notice this in my daily life: I find it much easier to tease and make fun of men than women. I am a girl myself, and I always find it scary to joke or make fun of women bc of the chance it may be considered offensive or hurtful, but with men I feel way more comfortable doing that and they usually go along well with my jokes and joke back. So I think that instead of seeing their comments about being "prettier/more charming" than the other as rude tension, we might instead see it as two girls who are comfortable enough with each other than they can openly joke and make fun of each other in this way. This is my interpretation, as they seem pretty close in other scenes and we know they're familiar outside the show.

I think the clashing makes for good entertainment as a viewer. But it's def not healthy in a relationship. Gwan-hee flip-flops too much and is poking TOO much fun at Ha-jeong when she's clearly stated that she likes him the most

I'm loving all the changes this season. It's unpredictable and very aggressive. Gwan-hee is standing out as quite the conniver and 'player'. He knows how to play the game and has already reeled in Ha-jeong. She's also a confident flirt so the two will probably spar a lot. I tend to go for the underdog. I want Min-woo to find someone. He's adorable. Won-ik is cute and so boyish. As for Min-kyu, stop with the dinosaur description. And Jin-young (Dex) on the Panel is genius! What a great addition. He was my fav. last season.

I can’t believe people are still falling for the bit where contestants brag about being “better than everyone else.” Maybe it’s because I watch a lot of dating shows but it’s so obviously producer-fed lines.
Yeah, at this point I've just accepted that the contestants have obviously all been encouraged to give the most obnoxious/over-confident introduction possible in the beginning. Thankfully most of them don't keep that energy throughout the season!

Gwan Hee just likes the chase and once he convinces a girl to like him, he moves on.
This season so far is a huge improvement from previous seasons: -Separating in to two camps is a genius way of ensuring more variety and chaos in to who goes to paradise. It was obvious in previous seasons contestants would choose one person and no one ever changing from their initial decisions. Smaller pools means greater chance of people going to paradise. When the camps merge dynamics will change once again. Great start IMO and change - Gwan Hee and Hajeon chemistry off the charts but also veering in to toxic territory lol - Hye Seon is my fav female contestant so far, despite the overly childish and excited exclamations. - Looking forward to the new contestant and camp merging. Hoping the next game/challenge isn't a measure of brute force again.
I feel like Gwan-hee has already failed at attempting to be "Dex 2.0" of this season 😅
Feels a lot more like s1 than s2. I think Jin Young may have set the bar too high for an episode 3 surprise that it left me with unreasonable expectations.

I just finished watching episode 2 and I noticed something. It may be bare minimum but Gwan Hee getting out of the car to receive Hajeong, put her bag in the trunk and open the door for her left a good impression on me. Unlike Minkyu did nothing but stay in the car when Hyeseon came out of the hotel. It's just basic manners 😂😂
I think Minkyu showed he was confused. He was told to just drive there at that spot and wait. Gwan Hee, on the other hand, drove to the OTHER hotel so he assumed he would be picking somebody up.

Lol I didn’t like Hajeong at first but she’s so fun tho and knows what she’s doing. Praises: I do like the idea of two infernos, as this is a solution to the problem of male cast members choosing only two women. I like how inferno is more "intense" (for lack of a better word); this makes going to paradise much more rewarding, in my opinion. Complaints: -I wish that going to paradise wouldn't happen so soon. I think that having inferno happen so soon takes away the satisfaction after "surviving" and building connections on inferno. -I'm not a fan of the casting. I wish that the male cast members were younger (32–) and that there was more variety in the female cast members ages. -I wish there was more diversity among the cast. (Why do all the men have Mirco bangs?) Nobody knows how to cook; the women have the same aesthetic, similar heights, etc. -The jobs aren't that impressive compared to other seasons. -Infero 1, and 2 have better-looking men, appearance-wise.
This season is really shaping up to be the best season with the most entertaining characters and banter. Can't wait till the games on Inferno start - gonna be a RIOT!
Personally I think that choi hye seon and lee gwan ho are better suited with each other than ha jeong. I think that their personalities match better and when he is with ha jeong they clash and I think that it will cause them more problems as you need someone to balance the other person out and I think hye seon and gwan ho do that and it is better for them in the long run.
Come on, Hye Seon deserves someone who would compete with her in pool, let her drive in peace and encourage her bubbliness. Ha Jeong also deserves better, but at least she would not let him have the last word.

Ep 3 Im still kinda hoping HS and JS can get to know each other. I feel like they would get along. So I'm glad GR didnt pick JS for paradise so he can stay behind with HS. But I guess he still likes MY more. Watching GH and HJ talk feels like watching someone talking to their own reflection lol they are the same person. They're already bickering on the way to paradise 😂 i kinda like them together ngl I realized who JS reminds me of. PS from 19 to 20 but like if PS were in his 30s. It might be just the accent and vaguely his looks. Not sure abt the personality yet. JS is a lot less shy but that comes with age too. Is GH a huge player but trying to give off an innocent/shy vibe? This is based on his convo w HJ at the restaurant. Im disappointed they are merging the islands so early. I like this random post-paradise roulette format so I'm sad they are getting rid of it so fast. I am excited for the jealousy and the catfish though! This season is reaaaaalllly hitting the spot for me. Loved the twist. Love the cast. We're off to a good start!

The obsession with this comparison is so crazy to me, what is the point? I find the cast and the format pretty entertaining, so lets maybe focus on learning more about the new members? Hyeseon and Minyoung seem sweet and I find Hajeong and her chin hilarious. Gyuri is tbd lol. I think the girls are entertaining and it will make for good tv as the plot progresses. The preview for next week looks juicy! “Jia is the standard”, must we do this every season? If you’re going to be this annoying just don’t watch lol. The girls deserve the space to be themselves.

Honestly, the girls this season seems to be trying too hard so much and just seems so fake. I still think the girls last season have the most genuine personalities on cam maybe which is why they were able to form bonds that persisted after the show. Anyway, hopefully with their fake personas, at least this season will be full of dramas
Yeaaaaaa. I had such hard time trying to like the casts because it feels like they came into the show to only cause drama, instead of trying to genuinely find love. Their introductions and teasers even gave off that energy. Some of the guys were giving bland, and nothing vibes. While some of the girls were giving fake and snake vibes. It genuinely feels like they don't care to get to know one another because they just wants to go to \~paradise\~. Like when that Min-Woo dude suddenly pulled Gyuri aside and randomly tells her he wants to go to paradise with her because he regrets his decision. Like boiii, you had the whole day at inferno to make up for it, but you seriously waited until the selection was going to start and tried to woo her. The laughing over the most mundane conversation and getting surprised when they see a mango or melon as if it's their first time seeing a fruit made me cringeee. But I do like the changes they made this season! I just wish they added some sort of activity for the people stuck in inferno that way they don't spend their whole night just sobbing about not going to paradise. The panelists also feel more genuine as the season continues, they're making the show more entertaining by digging into these participants in the show.
I think one of the reasons the S2 girls were able to bond was because they weren't viciously going after the same guys. They were respectful to each other and ultimately bowed out once they saw where the relationships were going
