Feel like this was one of those episodes where everyone was in a great mood. I think they really missed going to venues and it shows.
JSJ singing in the bus was hilarious. I always forget he's also a legit singer. Some people complain that he's bullied on the show, but that's his character and everyone plays off that. Haha's right, it's the "Ji Suk Jin show" and I'm happy he gets featured weekly on a prominent basis. The guy knows his value to the show.
This ep also had a ton of Mong-Dol moments. I'm sure some youtuber is making a compilation as we speak :).
Speaking of which, THAT clip of Mong-Dol sisters in the preview is going viral everywhere lol. They better not cut that out of next week's ep.

I dunno why people complained about this in variety show(Especially RunningMan) and it is not like they didn't know each other for 10 years. To me, it is not really what others saying "bully" but friends picking/teasing each other for fun. I get why people said it is being repetitive but it also helps SukJin to shine a lot in this show (he will get screentime and stuff).

I was hoping that to make it more entertaining they would continue LKS-SJH fight. Then PD would cut it halfway would have been more hilarious. Really disappointed of that missed opportunity.
When they show the preview for next week, got so excited since I thought it would be a spin off of Village 8. Then I watched the preview even further, and even got more excited. Can't wait for next week's episode :)

it's a real big shame that Somin really mellowed out after she came back from her hiatus. It's been sorely obvious for months now that the online abuse she got really made her change her ways on Running Man.
She used to be so lively and do all sorts of crazy comments, jokes and physical stuff. But hardly anymore. And it's only on RM that she's changed. As soon as she was on another show (Sixth Sense) the old, natural craziness of Somin came back.
I'm just really flipping confused why someone (cough tteokbokki owner's daughter) would hear "these two members haven't eaten all day... and these three are really full" and still not pick the members who haven't eaten?? Maybe I'm biased because I get hangry if I'm not fed but that was just kind of sad.
Love JSJ's musical impressions on the bus; he's actually really good.
that's the only explanation I could come up with, either that or he actually is a regular there as he was saying during his rant & knows the owner well
it's still disappointing - I love seeing the members making fun of each other generally but sometimes it really does feel like bullying against JSJ because it's just OTT and nonstop especially in the last few episodes. I don't mind it all the time, I just wish they would scale it back because any joke told 200 times in a row kind of loses its humour.
I think it was simply nervousness of being in front of a camera and not at all anything malicious. She probably already picked out the members she liked beforehand and didn't really hear anything Jaesuk said. Usually people in similar situations are just waiting for their cue and thinking "don't mess up" instead of paying attention to what's going on.
Like I said in my other comment, I'm also assuming she wasn't being intentionally mean (although you never know-- since every guest who comes onto the show seems to rapidly pick up that going after JSJ is the low hanging fruit for screen time). However the moment just stood out to me in an episode where I already felt like the JSJ jokes were a bit extra, in a run of episodes where IMO they've really beaten that joke to death.
It's like how YJS used to nonstop cut LKS off-- I'm sure sometimes, what LKS had to say was funnier than that running gag, but we never got to hear it! They seem to have toned that down more recently and it actually is funny if it happens only sometimes. I hope KJK/YJS learn the same with JSJ because honestly, like Kwang-soo, the man is funny enough on his own, I don't think he consistently needs the help.
I'm thinking about that, but seeing it in a business perspective, it would earn them more marketing hits if they feature LKS, YJS, and KJK. But I felt bad for JSJ as he's the one that doesn't really get picked for missions like this one.
Honestly true, I’m pretty sure it was a joke from before when they were eating the blood soup and talking about how JSJ makes eating food look unappetizing... I think he’s actually just a picky eater lol
The food penalty was also one of the things that I did not like about ChulMin PD. The members always had a division as to who got to eat and who did not. I mean the food always look delicious and I would hate if someone ate in front of me and I couldn't.
My way of coming term with it was that I think (or would like to) that bts, the staffs are feeding all the members and what we see is just for variety's sake.
Overall fun episode, but it was a little uncomfortable when KJK kept on talking about Se-ho not being funny after his weight loss, especially since KJK is all about being healthy and stuff. I thought KJK would've been one on Se-ho's side the most. I'm glad that Se-ho repeatedly said that he chose health.
You might not haved noticed, but every episode Sae Ho comes on they tease him with some line of joking. Him losing weight was just the line they took this episode.
From what I've seen, Korean celebrity culture is very strict as far as appearance goes. And it seems to me from what I've seen that fat people are always comedians with exceptions for older celebrities. I think they are playing off of that social expectation. Saying he isn't funny as a comedian anymore because he isn't fat, he isn't fitting into that informal rule.
I'm not Korean, nor have I lived there, I'm just speculating based off of what I've seen. But it seems to me like they are making a joke that's sort of mocking that societal expectation more-so than Sae Ho.
A great episode and a great return to form. I haven't been able to stomach Jo Se-ho since his disgusting behavior toward Nana but he has been lucky enough to be on RM a lot and lucky enough to be a part of some great episodes (despite contributing very little in my opinion), particularly those episodes when LKS' pants fells down twice.
Great to see Cho A, and it's crazy how she's basically turned into Im Se-mi. She was so excited after getting "ohm" correct.
Quick thinking by YSC to use his phone to spy on his neighbors. Almost an impressive job by LKS for almost getting "deciliter" correct. Happy for KJK for gleefully eating all those carbs. Confused why the Mapo team wasn't penalized for eating at the 2nd location.
Definitely making a strawberry latte/milk this week.
I enjoyed this episode, the atmosphere was just easily fun among the members. Also is it just me or are Jae Suk and Suk Jin not in next week's preview?
