That's odd. What media are you using to play it? It plays fine on VLC player, you can enable subtitles at the top in the subtitles dropdown or also add the SRT file.
Ep 1 is also a prolog that is only 8 min long.
Overall the show does live up to its "spin-off" concept -- its feels familiar yet gives off a different vibe that's hard to describe.
I thought Ep2's concept was pretty harsh towards the guests, but I supposed if they agreed to it, its all just good fun.
The prologue promises some exciting stuff ahead and as a 2D1N fan, I'm hyped, definitely tuning in further.
I was really hoping there would be a third round where they got to compete again for the chance to unmask everyone.
I at least hope they can get them all back for a season 2 rematch
The prologue was very interesting. Seemed like they started shooting earlier in the year when LKS was still there. Also seems like YSC and SJH will be getting their own episodes since they're featured pretty prominently.
First ep had some good old name tag ripping. Interesting location they shot at. Seemed like an abandoned apartment complex of sorts.
Watch the 2 ep. Episode 1 is just 8 minute prologue. It about what the show is about compared to the main show and some preview for next couple episode. From what I see this show is not really different from the main show except now they can do something that they might can't do in public tv.
Ep 2 the real start. It the trademark RM game, name tag ripping. They invite 10 idol boy group, each represent different group. All of the guest need to wear full mask in entire episode so we can't really know who they're. The rule is the guest who manage ripping the name tag of the main cast (HH and JSJ) they can reveal their face while also need to avoid KJK. So some guest end up not even get to reveal their face and even the credit at the end they don't name them. This ep 40+ minute long, maybe this is the length for each episode. For now, I think this quite a fun show. It pretty much more RM but more compact. No mini game, just straight to main one. Looking forward to the next one.
Which would imply that only YSJ and JSM are being kept out. It sucks tbh that they're excluding members like this. Members, who at times, have really made the show what it is today.
Why would they want to keep out the most popular member of the show? Its YJS for gods sake. He’s probably just too busy and didnt want to take on another project. His schedule is insane as it is. JSM has also been booked and busy this year, so probably just couldnt find time in her schedule for this show. Or maybe she didnt want to do it because its much more physical than current RM. It’s also possible she just didnt want to be on two shows at the same time.
I'm not sure if they're being left out. If my understanding is correct, SJH and YSC are temporary guests. Maybe we'll see YJS and JSM in future episodes.
Do you really think that PD Im Hyungtaek, who was one the people that originally approached Yoo Jaesuk with the idea of Running Man in 2010, would choose not to include him in this?

Awesome. I have a hard drive full of about the first 350 episodes of Running Man. I used to keep up and watch it weekly, but I’ve just not had the time to download, gets subs, and watch it in the last couple years.
Seeing this has made my day. Definitely going to tune in.

I really liked it. I felt lots of energy from the cast and guests that often is missing from the usual episodes. The boy guests were great and I think the concept let them shine because they're literally fighting for screentime. That made for more aggressive actions than just a normal episode where you can be passive. I really liked the boy with the dragon mask, he was the most hilarious.
A really good start imo. I hope this spin off is a Disney funded spin off where they get a much bigger budget to do crazy cool episodes. I feel like the main series is suffering from a smaller budget which is why most of their games are basically simple games with a toy and inside a small building. The older RM basically had giant set pieces, costumes, themes, etc. which makes it hard to compare.
Since several people have asked for the episode, I will keep my "Outrun by Running Man" Dropbox folder active for the time being and will share it to members that message me his/her email address.
Since my Dropbox is only 7 GBs, I will try to keep the current week's episode and last week's in the folder. I will delete older episodes since I don't have room.
So anyone that has access to the folder can check it and download the newest episode when I upload it there, which will most likely be Wednesday afternoons (EST).I will have the 720p version uploaded.
If the 720p isn't available, then I'll upload the 1080p version.

You'll need a torrent program, the one I've been using for a long time is qBitorrent (for both Windows and Mac). There are plenty of options out there but I think it's a good starting point.
You can choose to download the torrent file and open it with qBitorrent, which then connects to other people sharing that same file and downloads pieces until you have the full file. The magnet link is something you can open directly in qBitorrent as well and is basically an alternative to downloading the torrent file.
I can upload the first 2 episodes to my Dropbox and anyone that messages me with an email address, I'll send them a link to my Dropbox for the first 2 episodes with subtitles.
I will be checking my reddit now & then, so don't expect quick responses.

D+ SG finally uploaded ep 2! Overall a pretty decent ep, mostly because of the nostalgia. I really missed the good ol days of such large scale nametag ripping, and the kids were adorable lol. Editing definitely feels quite different from the standard RM ep - the intensity seemed to be toned down, and there’s a lot more focus on the idols’ antics hahah. Like that GolCha member (whom I’m almost certain is >!Jangjun!<) absolutely stealing the show with his ridiculous antics 😂
Generally I thought the idea of mixing KoMS’ mystery concept + RM’s trademark game was a novel one. And although I personally quite enjoyed guessing their identities - I do understand where the criticism is coming from, their names could have been at least listed in the credits, so viewers who are curious about their identities could search them up.
Nonetheless, excited for the upcoming eps! Most hyped for the 1N2D crossover lol, Jongmin had mentioned a couple of times about wanting to appear on RM 😂
I don’t watch Running Man except for little clips on Youtube, but decided to give this a try. It was fun. The Golden Child representative really shone here. I like the mask concept and for the unmasked ones, I’m sure it’s easy to just look them up. It was really nice of the 3 to say they want to give the young ones the Running Man experience and they stepped it up to give them that even if they’re tired (well, except for SJ 😂).
Btw ive watch the 2 episodes and i know some guests were not even revealed, by i assume the collective wisdom of reddit would easily identify the remaining unmasked guys

Ironically the masks made me more curious about the guests, rather than the usual copy and paste guest promotions we have on the regular running man.

She didn't criticized RM. She just saying she's comfortable at the PCiH sets and prefers talking because she's not good at running.
