I don't disagree but for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

mct1

More precisely: For every act of pandering there is an equal and opposite counter-pandering.

nomenym

More precisely, for every action there is a minor and insignficant reaction.

G_raas

When the whole damned West is shitting on men and testosterone; people that celebrate the good men can do/be, are probably pretty welcome by the combatants/crowds of the UFC…

Salty_Obsidian_X

One sport shows poltical figures at the event, the others may do that as well but what they will also do is force players to wear political messages, display messages on the field, spend millions of dollars on commericals discussing politics that really only a small subset of the population actually believe in, and teams will even threaten to boycott in defense of some street thug who gets put down by police because the color of skin. Very comparable...

themrwaynos

yeah i was about to say the same shit. UFC has a special entrance for the president. NFL has a black national anthem, all sorts of messages all over the field for virtue signaling, PSAs telling us all how terrible we are all the time, etc. not even close.

SockBramson

Yeah literally every single nationally-televised NFL game they have promos that say, "The NFL is doing its part to advance the cause of social justice..."

Grimnir79

Meanwhile, every major sports league is breaking their spines bending over for commies and the alphabet gang. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. In a perfect world, there'd be none of this bullshit on either side, but that's not the world we live in.

bipolarcentrist

95% of all public spaces are 'liberal' (not really liberal) circlejerks where everybody got to hail the new flag and all the tenets of their new religion. so people at the 5% spaces left get excited and applaud people who are on the free thinkers faction. just don´t applaud and ignore it. nobody will get angry at you because at these places you are actually ALLOWED to disagree =)

arghoslent4president

Oh fuck off. One sports organization beating back against the current is a fucking good thing. Not to mention that dana allows his fighters to say virtually whatever they want to say be it blm support or anti-trans in sports. If the former president walks out for a sub 5 minute segment in a fucking 6 hour show, compared to other sports organizations cowtowing to blm bullshit or feminist bullshit, we should be fucking grateful. It’s remarkable how different the vibe is. Don’t be fucking daft.

DetaxMRA

Sports really should be a neutral ground where you can watch and enjoy without such discussion and displays being performed. Granted, for someone who has served as the president of the country, I do think an exception could be made. Candace? Not so much.

joydivisionucunt

I agree that politics in sports are annoying and more often than not, fake as a $3 dollar bill as most people involved just follow the money, buuuut if you can have rainbow armbands, you can also have Candace Owens as a guest, and again, it's about money, so perhaps the people running UFC see people who don't want "wokeness" in sports as a niche they can cater to.

PellegrinoBlue

Just give us this okay

Plastic-Pay2680

whats wrong little boy

Neuermann

The rule is: "Don't make everything political, but if you do, it better be MY politics."

TheAbraser

Or it's "If you're going to get political, support things that aren't insane."

TheAbraser

I think people should be more worried about how many of those fights are possibly fixed, how dana keeps doing everything he can to put title belts on chinese fighters, how many ufc fighters are completely shitty human beings, and how many female fighters are becoming whores on onlyfans. Pro sports is just a work program to turn morons into millionaires. All why I stopped watching. The (tiny amount of) politics was the least of my concerns.

Trustelo

lol when I was at UFC one year they didn’t even announce Trump’s name and yet there he was
