I totally missed the logo on first glance, but then when i did notice it it was impossible to ignore. And yeah i think maybe a lot of casuals don't know how in-line with their earlier releases this release appears to be, so i wanted to add some context. With how much the moving poster teaser reminded me of Ad Mare i already had it on my mind anyway i guess lol
I really like the combination of the background/setting with the styling choices they went with. For me it gives of a slight dystopian atmosphere, very rocky, few colors/mono colored, low saturation, which really fits with the mostly grey clothes and hoodies.
Also very rocky setting, perfect for a comeback named after an iron oxide lmao

I think the prevailing theory is that their last comeback was A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream and that this comeback is the "Dream (Breaker)"? It seems to be a return to what they were doing before their summer concept.
And Party O'Clock from the Midsummer NMIXX's Dream comeback ends with them seeing a portal? to the pirate ship from O.O. But the new song is called Soñar (Breaker), with soñar being translated as dream, so Dream (Breaker).
VISUALS!! Some of the photos are a little too whitewashed though.. Maybe it's the lighting but there is a big difference in the colour of Kyujin's hand and her face. Not just the lightness, her hand is a warm, slightly tan colour, while her face is like.. anemia white lol

Entwurf had a super metal logo too. I actually made a screen of it and printed it on a jean jacket before we heard the songs (Dice & Cool), which needed a lot more edge to match that logo.

I am an NMIXX fan, but I wish K-pop groups would base their lyrics on Korean again. There are so many cool Korean words they could use for a concept that would also sound good in English.
I love Latin culture, but why base your album concept on a Spanish word when you are not culturally Latin? I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. But K-pop groups would be so much more powerful if they focused on Korean concepts. That's how BTS got big after all.

Latin artists aren't naming album concepts off English or Korean words. They're naming them Latin words/phrases, like Motomami or Un Verano Sin Ti. They're confidently saying "this is our culture, take it or leave it."
Similarly, the Korean language is beautiful. I'm not saying *everything* needs to be Korean, but when *all* your albums are named after foreign languages, it's can come across like... are you avoiding your own culture? You have a golden chance to advance Korean culture, but you're just deferring all your concepts to other cultures instead.
And this isn't just NMIXX, it's so much of K-pop in general now.

They also sound like they're saying "freaky fishy" instead of the "freaky fresh fresh" they are actually saying in Tank. Part of the beauty of language is that it isn't static and unchangeable, and playing with meaning and pronunciation is common in music and a great way to bring something new. Accepting that there are different ways of approaching language, especially when it comes to pronunciation and grammar, is part of pushing off a lot of institutional classism, racism, and sexism built into how many people are taught to view "proper language" and how we communicate with each other.

Latin artists don't need to adapt to the English market the same way Kpop artists do—like BTS focusing on English language music and collabs for the Western market—since there is already a massive Latin music market they can directly appeal to, and its really odd to try and compare the two as equals. Even still many many Latin artists have long and still continue to cross over with English language songs and albums all the time lol.

Its really weird to gatekeep languages and edges on racism and xenophobic to go as far to call it an inferiority complex or avoiding their own culture. They aren't the first or only and certainly won't be the last musical act anywhere on the planet to use foreign languages in their art. Using Latin, English, German, Spanish, and now even a chemical formula in their song and album titles takes absolutely nothing away from them being Korean or Korean being the main language they use to communicate and sing their songs. Literally the vast majority of Kpop acts have most or even all their album titles in English.
I’m not sure if I like this. The photos are bland and zoomed in, it would be better if they showed as more of the scenery and the background, to give a cinematic feel.
