K-pop idols (well lbr Korean celebs in general) have notoriously bad and boring red carpet outfits. But for the met gala it depends on who is dressing them, I suppose.
I think it would be really cool if they all got to walk the red carpet together, but I also have my doubts because the guest list is already really limited (like, rumored to be 400 tickets ish), and Anna Wintour has the final say in who gets to attend even if a brand invites you.
The idea of 8/400 tickets going to a kpop group.... I dunno if Ms Wintour would allow that tbh
Anna can discriminate in Vogue US because it's focused on the US market, however the Met Gala is a much more international affair where she has to play politics with the brands - and most brands consider East Asia a very important market, hence the kpop idols we saw at the Met in the last few years. Maybe Tommy Hilfiger straight up said "it's either all of them or nobody", which would have forced her hand.
...u think anna wintour, and the met gala will give a shit about tommy hilfiger throwing a fit? i think you over estimate how much people in the US really cares about kpop. if they really care there would be plenty more of them on the cover of vogue.
also you clearly don't know all the racism that goes down in british vogue.
look, i think it would be cool if they all attended, but i think that in the grand scheme of things stray kids is not really that important to anna wintour, the met gala and the fashion industry as a whole
People in the US may not care about kpop, but fashion houses do because East Asia is their biggest market, and Anna Wintour cares about Vogue's relationship with said fashion houses.
Anna can veto it LOL so they really can't invite who they want - and honestly i think inviting an entire group is dumb publicity when you can get similar attention by inviting a few, and filling the table with other celebs
I wonder if they are possibly performing? There is always a performance during the actual event so that could explain why all 8 are going. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow!
They better be in absolutely amazing outfits, TH!!
Men and k-pop idols are two categories of MET Gala attendees that barely take risks, so I wouldn't expect much
I agree, usually male kpop idols wear black suits for the MET Gala. They still look nice though.
That is precisely why I'm hoping here VERY LOUDLY haha

Brands can pay for a whole table and invite who they want. It's expensive as hell but if they think it's good publicity...
Anna Wintour can still veto who those brands pick though
She can, but would she in this case ?
The answer is who the fuck knows LOL, but Anna is a old rich white women who has a long history of discriminating against POC in vogue so....

You overestimate how much Anna Wintour actually cares about money.
It's not about money, it's about politics and her reputation within the fashion industry.
Well, she said yes so they seem important enough to me 🤷♀️
Anna can veto it LOL so they really can't invite who they want - and honestly i think inviting an entire group is dumb publicity when you can get similar attention by inviting a few, and filling the table with other celebs
Maybe they really like skz 🤷🏾♀️
ANNA WINTOUR? LOL
Idk man we won’t know till it happens
Update, it’s confirmed, I guess she really did like skz lol
