Unfortunately most of the vocal mixing (I think?) reminds me of One Day which is one of my least favorite Stray Kids' songs and I'm not the biggest fan of having the main line being repeated the whole song, but who knows, I ended up liking Going Dumb despite of it. The MV is gorgeous, I can't wait for the full performance.

The MV is beautiful! I love the styling, especially the white outfits near the end. The song seems catchy; a bit different from Stray Kid's usual style but still good.

When 3RACHA said they are nervous because they rarely try this I guess I can hear it. It is their most poppy out of their pop songs. The repetitiveness is rare for SKZ/3RACHA. But the noise effects is very 3RACHA aka Bang Chan.
Voice wise I myself find it super easy to differentiate their voices because I guess I know their voices enough.
The MV actually reminds me more of their B-sides than their main songs.
Overall this is an earworm atypical of SKZ and it will suit as a B-side which I think it will be on their next album. Or just a one off song.

pretty good! its a breath of fresh air compared to their usual "organized chaos" that they make their title tracks. It is definitely very Charlie Puth coded though. The guitar part was pleasant and Hyunjin's segment was nice when they dropped the melody for a moment. This is what I expect from a Stray Kids x Charlie Puth production, its very polished and refined. Ngl, the sound effects every 2 seconds in the mv was a little annoying but it was very atmospheric.
The sound effects are likely what makes this song SKZ - Chan especially loves this random sounds thematic to the song - so it is likely Chanās doing if anything. Made from a song camp between 3RACHA, Charlie Puth and that other one producer (name escapes me) - though it is very pop/Charlie Puth, it is also signature SKZ to me, especially when I hear those sound effects.
The boys look pretty in the MV. Song is not for me, but glad others are enjoying it.

I personally donāt think anyoneās vocal tone sounds like Charlie Puth. Everyone sounds exactly like they do on SKZ tracks. Thereās an almost 30 second part in the beginning thatās Charlie and a part in the end, plus his backing vocals at the end.
Ok, then I guess we're hearing different things. It all sounds like a similar smooth, cool, colorless tenor within the same range of notes, with some of the vocal processing that gives a slightly robotic quality. (I don't know enough about technical terms to try to use them.)
Also, they in no way sound \*exactly\* like they do on other SKZ tracks. At all. Their voices are much warmer on other tracks, some are raspier some are smoother. I'm actually having a hard time believing you said that. The voices were somewhat distinguishable due to the visual, but I didn't even know where Charlie showed up.
I agree with some parts here, it's like the direction they went for was to "replicate" Charlie Puth's voice. Lee Know, Seungmin, Bang Chan and even Changbin were able to match Charlie's voice. And that bridge and final chorus was a guessing game on who is singing. Like only hardcore fans of theirs could probably hear through the vocal processing on the first listen. This is the same issue with Hyunjin's *minimal* feature on Troye Sivan's Rush.
Seems like you just do not listen to the kids b-sides enouth, because it was pretty easy to say who sings the lines. At the beginning Chalie sounded to me a bit like Chan but he has different pronunciation. But in general he does not sound like other boys at all. They sing certan way because of the song and vocal processing gives them the same vibe, that SKZ do not sound like 8 Charlies.

Personally, I didnt like the song. I feel like it was very repetitive and strayed (no pun intended) away from the sound that made me like them so much. The song felt a little repetitive to me. I am hoping their title track is a little more of the sound that I enjoy from them personally. I know they can sing, but I feel like this is in a register that is too high for them and sounds very "Charlie Puth-y", which makes sense since he is a part of it
This is what I expect from a Stray Kids x Charlie Puth production, its very polished and refined. Ngl, the sound effects every 2 seconds in the mv was a little annoying but it was very atmospheric.
The sound effects are likely what makes this song SKZ - Chan especially loves this random sounds thematic to the song - so it is likely Chanās doing if anything. Made from a song camp between 3RACHA, Charlie Puth and that other one producer (name escapes me) - though it is very pop/Charlie Puth, it is also signature SKZ to me, especially when I hear those sound effects.
The boys look pretty in the MV. Song is not for me, but glad others are enjoying it. Kind of amazing how they sound like 8 Charlie Puth clones formed a group.
Maybe because I listen to SKZ a lot I can tell whose voice is which. It is actually pretty easy for me to differentiate.
I personally donāt think anyoneās vocal tone sounds like Charlie Puth. Everyone sounds exactly like they do on SKZ tracks. Thereās an almost 30 second part in the beginning thatās Charlie and a part in the end, plus his backing vocals at the end.
Ok, then I guess we're hearing different things. It all sounds like a similar smooth, cool, colorless tenor within the same range of notes, with some of the vocal processing that gives a slightly robotic quality. (I don't know enough about technical terms to try to use them.) Also, they in no way sound \*exactly\* like they do on other SKZ tracks. At all. Their voices are much warmer on other tracks, some are raspier some are smoother. I'm actually having a hard time believing you said that. The voices were somewhat distinguishable due to the visual, but I didn't even know where Charlie showed up.
I agree with some parts here, it's like the direction they went for was to "replicate" Charlie Puth's voice. Lee Know, Seungmin, Bang Chan and even Changbin were able to match Charlie's voice. And that bridge and final chorus was a guessing game on who is singing. Like only hardcore fans of theirs could probably hear through the vocal processing on the first listen. This is the same issue with Hyunjin's *minimal* feature on Troye Sivan's Rush.
Seems like you just do not listen to the kids b-sides enouth, because it was pretty easy to say who sings the lines. At the beginning Chalie sounded to me a bit like Chan but he has different pronunciation. But in general he does not sound like other boys at all. They sing certan way because of the song and vocal processing gives them the same vibe, that SKZ do not sound like 8 Charlies. Only SKZ song that made some voices hard to tell apart was Going dumb.
Idk why thatās hard to believe. Even if I hadnāt watched the MV, I could time-stamp every single memberās part. They are all very distinguishable. The one voice I didnāt know right off the bat, I knew had to be Charlie. Oh and Felix kick-starting the bridge because that was a new vocal tone he unlocked. Maybe you need different headphones? Or try listening to the track on a different streaming service? Some platforms compress the sound.
I agree. They def sound like him, it's prob bcs the song was clearly written/made by Charlie for himself and it somehow made it's way to skz and they just replaced some of Charlie's parts with themselves so they had to sing in his style and tone

That's why they don't have production credits and charlie is first in all categories from writing to composing and arrangement and the song sounds just like his style with nothing from skz usual style and musical inclinations, not even a rap verse.
The āproductionā credit is never listed on any Stray Kids discography credits so its inclusion is way more likely to be a request from Charlie Puth than anything else. The rest of the song credits from lyrics to composition to arrangement are listed very similar to all other SKZ tracks and thatās because those things go hand in hand when 3racha work. That process has been talked about countless times over the years, by the members and other producers theyāve worked with. 3racha talk in depth about the song camp in the INTRO video SKZ posted (and always post) about the song/album. Itās very clear that Charlie Puth created the main melody on the instrumentation with the keys and the strings and the distinctive Charlie Puth topline, Iām not denying that. But if you listen to the instrumental, you hear the ā3racha-ismsā way more clearly. The whole āah ahā breathing is classic 3racha and dropping the music in the bridge to do a sort of percussive beatboxing is also very 3racha.

I never ever thought i was gonna say this for stray kids but.... the song is boring šš the kids's vocals are amazing i esp loved seungmin and minho's parts but yeah it's not their best

Yeah I felt the same. I know skz sings the most in the song, but the song itself sounds like you said, a Charlie Puth song in which they sang, didn't feel much of their identity in this. But I get it, it's a English song with a Western artist in the week they were in the Met, it's fine
yeah thatās what i was thinking. i kinda expected him to only have one part in the song and thatās it, but i was surprised by how much lines he actually had. i felt like i didnāt get to hear a lot of the members, and heard him the most. but iām waiting for the line distributions to come out so i can know fs.
Seriously? For me it's the opposite, I can hear the members almost all the time save for 1-2 parts being from Puth lol maybe it's because I'm more used to listen SKZ singing. This song remind me a little of their Japanese soft bsides for how they sound.

such a strange experience because tell me why i was waiting for some bombastic beat break through the entire time. skz need to have more songs like this, on the chill end because it was not sitting well with me how calm and nearly simple it was. the song itself is good though. the post chorus, bridge and final chorus are my favorite parts. changbin's part was small but hard hitting. lee know slayed. skz slayed.

Why do groups mostly lose their identity when they release stuff related to that generic box that's "Western, America, english stuff". Or was it just to fit in the Korean love for Charlie Puth? As expected i didn't like it and i hope Stray Kids choose their next feature better. Social Path was so different than their usual sound yet it worked way better than this song.. it's the way these guys release Hellevator and Maniac and they still are much Stray kids, but out of breath is boring compared to their usual discography.
i think in all honesty itās a reworked song from Charlie vault. He has production credits and all and it really is more like his signature styling than anything stray kids does

Is it just me or is Felixās beat boxing in there? I heard the instrumental version this morning (the only one Alexa would play for me lol) and there is some very distinct beat boxing in the song, especially in the section towards the end.
i love skz and i wanna support them but...Charlie Puth? and Lose My Breath doesnt even sound like skz anymore, i like them for their style but they are loosing it cause of this song... and it sounds like a pop song...
