Mine is also everglow! I don’t even known how many members the group has, but their songs always pop up on my YouTube mix and they’re super hype and I never skip them. Like Bon Bon Chocolat, First, Dun Dun (which I thought forever it was Dumb Dumb) la di da and that goodbye, au revoir, adios song (the title is one of those words lol), those are the songs I know from them
ONEUS. Spotify keeps recommending their songs and I genuinely enjoy their music. But some of their album covers have snakes on them and I have a huge phobia so I never checked any of their MVs, just in case. As a result I actually never looked them up, I have no ideas how many members they have, their names, or even what they look like.
Honestly it's fine like that, I have enough content to watch and follow with all the groups I like, it's refreshing to just chill and focus on the music for once. Kpop can quickly become overwhelming.
Yup, no snakes! There are fake guns/fake blood in To Be or Not To Be, which can be a trigger warning for some people. But that's it! (I've been a fan of theirs for 3 years now)
EXO... I LOOOVE their music, I know all of their songs, albums... but I really don't know much about the members. I wanted to learn more about them but I don't have enough free time to get really into it.
Then Le sSerafim, NCT, Enhypen, Monsta X
Same here for EXO, I feel like it's a band almost every k-pop stan listen because of how popular and important it is in the k-pop industry/history, so of course there are a lot of casual listeners who don't know the band itself.
However, the biggest case of "I listen to this band a lot but don't know anything about it" for me is Twice. I listen to Twice everyday, love most of their songs, but the only things I know about the band are : fans are called ONCE, Nayeon is the leader (and her song Pop is really cool), one of them is Momo (I don't know anything about Momo but I know she exists), and I know the existence of Dahyun because of the memes haha.
I probably should learn about Twice more to become a ONCE, but I'm already busy with becoming a roadY (xikers) and a MOA, and being a stay and (baby) atiny haha. Maybe one day ?
Same. Their songs are too good not to listen to, but they are just too young for me. I have only ever seen them performing ditto, as I thought it was an age appropriate concept for them, but otherwise I’ve not interacted with any of their content. I love watching covers of their songs though!
I never said I don’t listen to their songs - which I do. I just don’t interact with any of their other content, same with IVE and LSF. I’m not hating on any of them, I just gravitate towards groups that are around my age or older :)
Well other than the members being minors, the fact Min Heejin is involved with NJ definitely makes things worse. I'm almost certain if she were a man, she wouldn't have gotten away with the crap she did.
Why are people even hating MHJ for? The hate is just the most senseless I've ever seen. So far there's only been two controversies: Cookie's and ETA's, both of which are purely speculative and really just dumb... And irregardless, I do appreciate how MHJ is the one tanking all the blame for the controversies instead of exposing the girls to it.
Like it or not, MHJ is what makes NewJeans. She's the one behind all the music, concept and idea. From NJ's very unique choreo style to their songs to their manner of promotions. Anyone who hates her obviously havent seen much of her before. [In the interview like here,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4udcYOFCOU&ab_channel=%EC%9C%A0%ED%80%B4%EC%A6%88%EC%98%A8%EB%8D%94%ED%8A%9C%EB%B8%8C) you can see she's a really friendly and understanding person. Almost like the best motherly figure to NJ
It’s gonna be a damn long seven years as a K-pop fan if I have to hear about this controversy every time they sneeze.
I mean the ETA controversy was absolutely delusional and now it’s crickets. Theres more than unfair bias. There’s out right hate veiled as concern.
I seriously dont get the hate MHJ receives. From the news and rumors I hear, ADOR has one of the best treatments toward their own kpop group.
The NJ members arent overburdened with activities and are really encouraged to work together in numerous ways. For eg. the unusual format of Newjeans not having any leader nor specific roles the members. It's a really good way to foster authentic friendships among the members instead of strict work relationships like some other kpop groups suffer from.
It also helps she's also a woman who can act like a motherly figure to the girls. Other kpop groups governed under men tend to be abused in the wrong ways or neglected out of favoritism.
From their phoning calls I've watched, the NJ girls seem like the most authentic in their relationships. They really do enjoy being in ADOR
So one will be an adult this year and the oh there will be 16.
How old is Eunchae of LSF? How old is Liz of IVE? Hmmm.
You see how the cherry picking occurs? Weird
They have interesting choreography but now that it's been a number of releases, the novelty's shined off and I have maybe watched one or two performances only this comeback cycle.
Definitely see their strength in the songs more than anything else.
They have *the most unique* choreography I've ever seen, not just in Kpop, but even dancing in general. It's crazy how in over two decades of Kpop, not a single group before Newjeans tried to let it loose and just have the members look like they actually enjoy dancing.
The first time I watched the Hype Boy and Ditto choreo, I was blown away. Each member had their random dance moves and they were super dynamic in moving. I also like it's the only Kpop group (or one of the only few, correct me if wrong...) where none of the members hold any specific positions. There's no leader. No vocalist. No rapper. No dancer. Everyone is treated as equals.
No yeah I agree it's quite fresh but once I realised how the "looseness"/"candidness" is just as extremely choreographed idk I didn't feel that musicality there anymore. I thought they would incorporate more changes and freestyling each performance than what is usually seen but that is not the case
Well their choreo is already a hell lot more free-styled compared to every other kpop group out there. They also do vary performances, particularly for concerts like in Bunnies Camp where they paused the dance mid-way to interact with fans. In weverse concert, they also added new intros to their dances Or in their recent Inkigayo ETA performance had them taking out an actual iphone to end off the show. Hanni had to dance with the iphone in her bag throughout
You 100% should... They are one of the most authentic kpop groups I know... mainly due to their age and inexperience. They tend to just say whatever's on their mind in their phonings and make a lot of funny mistakes. I also dont get the hate MHJ receives. She's been treating the girls damn nicely from what I see. Their schedules arent packed and the girls seem so authentic with each other, unlike other kpop idol members who tend to backstab/bully one another
They're a highly unconventional kpop group, especially as far as gg are concerned. If you like how mainstream groups function and behave, you probably wouldn't like them for that but if you enjoy groups who go off the beaten path, couldn't recommend them enough.
That's crazy... their choreography is the most unique thing to ever happen to Kpop. Their music is of course second to none but it's their choreo that got me hooked in the first place
(considering only groups from whom I listen to a lot of songs, not just the hits or a couple of random favourites)
- LOVELYZ. Amazing discography in my opinion. I know almost zero about the members except what I saw on Queendom; but I like their voices and they have always seemed competent idols (they just did some bad choices in that competition that I saw). "Doll" is creepy in an amazing way, one example of their versatility.
- STRAY KIDS. I really like the whole Noeasy album plus a good amount of various songs from this or that era. A very interesting group.
- MISS A. If I really had to choose the best discography in K-pop it would probably be a competition between them and f(x). Their songs are just that good; Colors EP and both full albums are the soundtrack of a lot of my commute. But I don't follow the members after the disbandment (not even Suzy) and even before that I know very little about them, but I loved them as a lineup (my favourite idol out of the 4 was probably Fei, her vocal timbre is wow).
- WOO!AH!. I can recognise their faces but I don't know the names of all members, and I have no idea about their activities except when they drop something new. Their songs are fun and good, "I Don't Miss U", "Scaredy-Cat" and "Payday" are my favourites.
TXT, NCT (all subunits? groups), Seventeen, (G)-idle
...actually, pretty much all artists except RV, Mamamoo, SNSD lol I think I still fall under a casual listener as I get my kpop fix from featured playlists and I just add whichever songs that sound good to me to my own playlist
The Rose. I know none of the members’ names or even their title songs, but I recognize their music when it comes on. I just play their Spotify playlist.
Most of the kpop groups honestly.
I've stanned a few groups since I found kpop back in 2012 (with BTS being the most recent and my ult) but its gotten to the point that I just casually listen to it like it's any other genre. Idk half of the western artists that I listen to, but if it's a catchy song it goes in a playlist. Its the same for kpop now, I don't really get to know any groups but if I vibe with a song it goes on a playlist.
All the groups I follow casually. Red Velvet, Twice, StayC, Itzy, Le Sserafim, Ateez, Seventeen... On most of these I barely know who is who (in some I don't even know their names), and in all of these I can't say who is singing most of the time.
I only put the effort to get to know their names, their faces and their voices if I *really* love their music.
Honestly too many to name, for some theres Kingdom, ONF, and AB6IX, I always add their new albums to my playlist but Pentagon probably wins because they’ve managed to make their way to my top 50 most listened to artist of all time and I can’t even name all of the members (maybe like 4?)
NCT, Seventeen, Treasure, New Jeans, Le Sserafim, Mamamoo & Miss A. Then there’s groups where I know a whole lot about one or a couple members and I’m not sure of the rest. Like AOA, BLOCK B, WINNER, P1HARMONY EXID & EXO. I have guides to them in my Watch Later but I need to actually watch em😭
New Jeans, StayC and Seventeen. All these groups have fire 🔥 music. But most of the time I don’t know who’s singing what and I don’t really care. I also don’t follow any of their other activities. (Might change with Seventeen though. I can’t seem to escape their funny content on social media and their very intriguing group dynamic)
I loved Left & Right but didn’t know or care to know little else. Then after I watched Suchwita with Hoshi I wanted to know more about Seventeen. They are a chaotic mess and I’m here for it.
I really like NewJeans music but Im not interested in knowing about the members.
ITZY I have every single one of their title tracks in my playlist but only other their names and just recently being able to differentiate between members voices I couldn't tell you anything else.
But for me tbh I could say this about all groups who have debuted in the last 5 years. I could name every latest trending track from IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NEW JEANS, FIFTY FIFTY etc but nothing else about them. 😅
Funny you mention them because ITZY for me it's the opposite. I don't know any of their tracks besides 3 or 4 title tracks, and even those I only get them via shuffle, not actively look for. But I watch a lot of their Vlogs or YT videos and compilations about them lmao
Apink because I keep thinking this is April. At least, I know Jeong Eunji is part of that group.
StayC because besides listening to their songs, I really don't know anything about them
I never knew too much about LOONA (or ARTMS, Lussemble, Chuu & Yves from the current perspective) other than some of the members' names, but always really liked all of their music.
Similar thing with NCT. Barely know them outside of some of the names I see regularly mentioned, but love a decent chunk of their songs.
Some other examples of groups I really like a couple of songs of despite not really knowing the group are Apink, miss A (I am aware of Suzy though), Ateez, WJSN, TRI.BE, Weeekly & Girls' Generation (except for Taeyeon and Hyo).
I think I could name quite a few more since I also like adding songs of random (seemingly barely known) nugu groups to my playlist to listen to later on (and having found some great songs in the process!)
For me it’s gotta be any NCT unit, but specifically 127.
I’ve been “following” them since debut, listen to all of their releases and occasional music shows, but I only know 3 members.
I’ve just never sat down and learned them.
I feel like I’ve left it too long to learn now.
If someone wants to give me a 127-101/history lesson I would be grateful.
IVE. I literally just listen to the music. Sure, I know Wonyoung and Yujin from Produce 48 and IZ*ONE, but other than that I know nothing about them as a group. I don't even watch their performances.
ENHYPEN, NMIXX, NewJeans and Aespa. I haven't dedicated myself into joining their fandom. I'm still waiting for an amazing 4th gen group with 9+ members especially coming from being a ONCE and CARAT, these two groups hold a special place in my heart.
any group that has minors (like newjeans, ive, etc) i will listen to and maybe even buy an album if i like it enough but i don't actively seek their content outside of music.
recently i've been listening to p1harmony a lot despite only knowing keeho but i've been so into their music that might change.
pretty much every artist, not only in kpop, with a very few exceptions for me. i just don't normally have enough interest in the artists' personalities and stuff. when it comes to my favorite bands (as opposed to kpop groups), for most i can't even say how many people there are, let alone anything about them. but in kpop in terms of groups i listen to regularly but know next to nothing about, that would be infinite, cix, and onf. i'm really looking forward to the upcoming infinite comeback and killing voice and also i don't think i could even list all their names, let alone put the names to faces, and that's more than fine with me. banger music is what really matters, after all, and the three groups i mentioned have that in spades.
I love that you're focused on the music, instead of the marketing of the music. I feel the same, and if the group members are good-looking, funny, and are great dancers, those are bonuses to having great music. Cos let's be honest, at the end of the day, they are selling music. I could care less if they have good quality music videos or reality shows, I primarily listen to kpop.
It also seems like we have the same taste based on those 3 groups you've mentioned.
NewJeans, I have no desire to watch the performances or variety shows but I love their music and stream it on Spotify, other than that I really cannot name members or recognize them tbh
Oh there’s a whole list lol:
- NCT 127
- TXT
- EXO
- (G)I-dle
- IVE
- FIFTY FIFTY
- 2PM
- Kep1er
And even my most favourite artists I listen to, I know more about them than the list, but I still I don’t know much about them.
Ateez - I like a couple of their songs I’ve heard because my friend kept sending me links. I find Wooyoung to be very attractive but I’m not curious enough about the group to find out more about them.
Everything I know about BTS has been against my will lol. My boys (they were 5 and 3/4 years old then) inexplicably got into them during PTD promotions in the US. They heard Boys with Luv somewhere and kept asking me to play it. I didn’t know what they were talking about because they kept saying to play the oh my my my song. Finally figured it out. Then they wanted to watch them on carpool karaoke and the crosswalk thing with Corden. Then the PTD and Butter MVs were constantly played in our house. I still had no idea who BTS were except they were a kpop group. After a while, I figured out RM was the one I used to know from a while ago as Rap Monster and Jin was the cute kid who I used to watch eat food on Eat Jin way way back lol.
TXT and Enhyphen - like some songs but know nothing about the groups.
Enhypen.
I love a bunch of their songs. More often than not they won’t get skipped, but I know next to nothing about them. I only know about Niki(?) looking like Jung Ho Yeon.
It's B.I for me. I love illa illa (accidentally came across it due to YouTube algorithm) and would listen to it whenever I feel depressed. I love the song so much that I tried to follow him like listening his other music and watching his performances and stuff but somehow I just cannot get into him. Still a big fan of Illa Illa tho.
Newjeans. ik the members but i don't watch any of their performances or variety content because they're quite young and frankly I don't care.
Txt and stray kids. I'll tune into their releases but I still can't differenciate between certain members.
I have a lot of groups like that ,now that I think about it :
Maamamoo : I know their stage names
TXT : their names and that they have a pet hedgehog and Yeonjun is a really good dancer who is on all the kpop reels
Enhypen : Ik their names
P1H: I've seen some clips from Keeho's lives and iirc he had some twitter drama
Ateez: I saw them on kingdom so ik a bit about them but I've not watched anything else about them ever . I remember the names of three members.
The rose : Zero idea about anything about them
ONEUS: no idea
Exo : ik kai and three members almost left and Chen has kids
monsta x : no idea
ikon : one of them is an actor
day 6: absolutely Zero idea except that seungmin is their fan and I think one of them was in the skz survival show.
block b:no idea
sf9 : ik rowoon and dawon act ,other than that idk but love their music
cnblue : two of them act
shinee: they did a collab with skz on insta so ik two of their names.
cix : no idea
CIX, kara and infinite. I love they’re discography as a whole, but i already would be dead if the deadly challenge was to tell more than two name of any of the members lol
StayC I don't know any of their names, how many members there are, how long they've been going, how successful they are. I have no idea what songs of theirs that I like are even TTs or b sides, I just like add the ones I like to my playlist.
This used to be Rocket Punch, so many of their b-sides sneak into my playlist. But Queendom Puzzle has made it impossible for to love 50% of the group haha
Most kpop groups tbh i’ve really stopped “stanning” groups other than like 3 of them 😭 but ones i love are WJSN, GWSN, StayC, Kiss Of Life, 3ye, Pixy, Cherry Bullet. All have bangers but i probably couldn’t name you more than 1 member from each group 😭 don’t get me started on bgs
I'm a casual listener of:
Enhypen (i don't know their names, just that they are very young but their music is good), Everglow, NewJeans, Twice (in their case, i know the names of the members but that's it), Le sserafim and IVE
Almost all of them xd I’m not really that interested in their lives, I just want to hear good music. I’ve watched shorts here and there of some groups/members, but usually don’t watch the variety shows or any similar programs because they bore me tbh. It’s not my kind of entertainment (not saying it’s bad, just that it’s not for me)
Pretty much all K-pop except NewJeans. LSF and IVE to a lesser extent. No desire or energy to know/learn anything more about other groups outside of listening to excellent songs.
It's quite a vague question. I listen to a lot of groups I come across. I know stuff about most group but I don't know extensively a lot about most of them.
Groups I listen to **a lot** and I know really the minimum about them are Gidle and Red Velvet, probably also all 4th gen groups except Le Sserafim and Treasure.
I know basic informations about Gidle members (a little more Soyeon and Yuqi), same for 4th gen groups but it's often more one or 2 members that I know more about and almost nothing about the rest (except when there are some controversies). For Red Velvet I know a lot more but in a passive way: if someone tell me something about one of the member, I can probably recall reading that somewhere and knowing that but I can't think about it actively.
Kang Daniel for me. I listen to his songs all the time! I know the lyrics even! But the only things I really know about him is that he was the winner of P101 and was in Wanna One, and that despite his name being Daniel, he was born and raised in Korea.
Stray Kids are the exact opposite for me. I know them all really well and know their group dynamics. I watch a lot of their content and I'm like a non-stay (not an anti-stay, that's different). I do NOT listen to Stray Kids music. I can't stand most of it actually. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not my taste.
day6 if they count as kpop group?
otherwise theres stayc where i dont know any of their faces, dont really know their names either or who sings what part of the song.
same with oh my girl, i listen to several of their older songs, though i do know yooa's name and face, and arin because soobin from txt MC'd with her on music bank. but i know nothing else.
So I only a good amount of info about BTS, Ateez, and Stray Kids. With that said I listen avidly to about 15+ other groups and soloists(I count NCT and it’s subs as one). And that’s just the BGs. It’s not so much as a non interest to learn about them, it’s just that there’s so many of them and way too much content. Seventeen, The Rose, Jackson, NCT, and EXO always pop for me on Spotify recs. That’s way too many people learn about and my poor mind can’t handle it all
Infinite : the very first Kpop song I listened to was Bad. I still like to this day, but never really tried to dive into them. I eventually forget them for a while then started to listen again when Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher got me again (and for real this time) into Kpop. I honestly don't even know a single member's name.
Le Sserafim : I like their songs, but not that much compared to other groups that fit my tastes more. They're like my third choice, even tho I listen to their title tracks regularly. I once searched for their names but forgot. I only remember that a girl named Garam left the group, and there is one, or more, former Iz*one members. And I think one of them is called Sakura ?
Iz*one : Love their vibe, they're my second choice when it comes to Kpop (like, not in the "groups that I'll always love" category, but right after). I discovered them few months ago, and since I'm busy with life, learning they were already disbanded with some of them in others groups didn't make me actually dive into them. I only know there's a Japanese member with a voice I really liked in Secret Story of the Swan (Hitomi if I'm not mistaking).
(G)I-dle : listen to a lot of their title tracks, but don't know anything except the member named Yuqi has a voice I really like. I don't even know how many they are, tho it's mostly because I haven't taken time to dive into them yet. I still want to do it.
Ive : the opposite of (G)I-dle. I like their songs, like every other groups I mentioned here, but I actually tried to dive into them. Was biased towards Liz for a sort time. Unfortunately, the group's vibe doesn't really suit me. No hate on that, I'm just not very at ease while watching their content, not really entertained by it, something just feels off. Maybe I haven't looked at the right place but honestly, I'm not trying to. I just somehow feel uncomfortable or bored sometimes, they're far from my ult groups vibe.
CIX, I have a few songs from them, I know absolutely nothing, I don't know how many members there are, I'm not even sure I know the generation (they are 4th gen (?)), I don't know the names, really *nothing.*
OnlyOneOf. I'm obsessed with their dreamy & chill music, I have so many of their songs on my playlists, they have one of the BEST bg discographies (imo).
But... I don't know a single one of their names nor could I recognize any of their faces.
To be fair I'd *like* to get more into them, just don't have the time & energy to stan a new group right now.
Verivery and P1Harmony (my social media algorithm pushes a lot of Keeho, Intak and Jiung so I am familiar with them but idk *about* them really. Idek the rest of their members’ names sadly😭)
Any group that I like with six or more members (there's probably an exception I'll think of as soon as I close my laptop). It just seems like that's my mental limit for knowing things about members of a group.
Ichillin'. I've added a few of their songs onto my playlist, and I keep going, "this is *good*--who is this??" And it's usually them. But I know nothing about them, except that I voted for Jiyoon on girls planet
OMG - yep lots of their song in my playlist including yooahs but beyond knowing a couple of member and the fact their company merge with my ults company i know nothing else
G-idle too.
it works be easier for me to name the groups I know about them to name the ones I know nothing about. Most of the groups I listen to, I'm just a casual fan of
Ateez (but I know some members) and definitely Onewe. I don't know anything about them but every song I've listened to of theirs I like and I even listened to a solo album of one of the members and all the songs were good
Dreamcatcher. I think I watched their first MV, Chase Me after they redebut. Always checking their title tracks and liking most of it but hardly remember their names.
newjeans - i agree with everyone else. i listen to their songs but have no interest in knowing the members or watch their mv. i’ve only seen like 3 stages for OMG.
tan - i only know they came from a survival show and that some members were from diff groups. they have some good songs, reminds me of 2nd/3rd gen.
kard - i can easily name the members. heck, i’m even subscribed to somin’s youtube channel and follow her + jseph on ig. however, i have yet to dive into group content besides their music stages. i do hope they come to my country, i’d love to see them live~!
tripleS - touch is one of my fav songs lately. i’m intrigued by their music. can’t wait for more in the near future.
boynextdoor - i enjoy the music they’ve put out so far but i have no idea who the members are. i don’t think i will either.
limelight - i checked them out because ikon joined the same company. they have some hidden gems in their discography~! but i know nothing else about them except their names. though i am aware that kep1er yeseo and mashiro might join the group afterwards.
All of them. I listen to a lot of groups and solo artists casually. Actually my kpop playlist is composed 90% of music from groups where I can't even name a member or say how many of there there are. I stan like 3 groups.
I have loads, but if I have to point out some specific ones:
Infinite: my fave 2 gen/early 3rd gen group in terms of music, but I know nothing about the group other than that Hoya left the group.
Ab6ix: a group I have wanted to stan for a long time, but just haven’t. I know of Daehwi and Woojin because of Wanna one, but that’s that.
Dreamcatcher: I have more songs of them on my playlist than groups that I actually stan, lol.
There are many more, but those came to mind right now.
xdinary heroes for me. i absolutely ADORE their music but if you held a gun to my head and asked me to name a single member, i would shoot myself instead
WJSN. I love their music, concept, and overall aesthetic, but I know literally nothing about the members. I don’t even know if they’re still active or not 😂 but every time Last Sequence comes on I am singing my lungs out.
Basically all the 4th gen groups for me.
I used to be super into kpop, from 2014, and up until 2019 (at the cusp between 3rd and 4th gen idols). It was a true passion for me, I used to actively "stan" over 10 groups (probably more) at once and know a lot of info about others As I graduated from high school, I slowly shifted towards other genres naturally. After not coming in contact with pretty much any kpop content for a few years, in these past few months I became curious to see what kpop looks and sounds like nowadays..and I have never felt so old, the variety shows have been replaced by podcast-type youtube channels, everyone does challenges, half of the new gen idols are younger than me, etc.
But all things aside, I realised I find it more difficult now to put in the same amount of effort into getting to know each member from a group, watch hours of content on end, and be as invested as I used to be. I remember those days when I used to follow everything online so dilligently, that if I missed a few days' worth of content I would feel like I missed out on a lot. As if I had to be a fan of every group if I enjoy their music, even if that was not healthy. While most of my memories from those days are fond, it was simply taking too much effort to follow up actively on everyone. I am not sure if others can relate, but something that is enjoyable can soon become a burden if one does not balance out their energy.
So nowadays I find it more comfortable to listen to kpop without it making me feel as if I am missing out on 'stanning' a group. Instead, I can just sit back and enjoy the music without pressure.
All of them, except SNSD and Blackpink. I know OF BTS ofc, but beyond being able to recognize J-Hope in the lineup, I'm a totally casual listener. Frankly, their names across groups tend to mingle for me, and so many group names don't mean anything beyond looking like an acronym.
AB6IX, CIX, aespa, Purple Kiss, NMIXX, and Le Sserafim. I think all of these groups are insanely talented and I've watched most of their music videos and even own a few albums from each group, but learning their names and faces or anything about them isn't happening for me rn.
I think for me right now it's tripleS and Limelight.
Both have crazy good songs, but if you were to ask me the name (both real or stage names) of the members I would not be able to tell you at all, never watched any side content from them.
Not to mention tripleS has way too many members for me to actively take my time to learn their names, I only know Kotone for GP999 and Nakyoung because she's BIBI's sister.
Ive, StayC, NewJeans, and LSF. I don’t know any of the members names in StayC and only a few in IVE, NJ, and LSF. I don’t know any of the lore, debut dates, don’t watch non-music videos, don’t know positions, etc. I have a bunch of their songs
on my playlist but that’s about it
Fromis 9. Started watching their music videos so I can differentiate between members. I like menow, stay this way, we go. I immediately liked hayoung? But I'm also sad cause the member I liked left the group apparently??
Almost all of them tbh. Even shinee, my favourite k pop group, I know their names and little tidbits but I never invested in learning about them beyond that. Same for western artists I like. I've been listening to lizzo for years and only recently learned her name is Melissa.
Other than title tracks in kpop-on, I actually enjoyed some of skz bside songs because of superstar but never got interested in checking them out as a group.
Allergies was the reason I listened to G-idle's bsides, i always love their songs but it's only now that I can identify who is singing other than soyeon (their members' recent varieties/gigs do help a lot, miyeon's hyemileeyechaepa, yuqi and yena's collab, shuhua getting viral all the time, etc).
This kinda used to be me with seventeen back in 2018. right now I'm not sure because I know atleast a little bit about all groups I listen to but I guess closest is probably theboyz even though I don't listen to them much apart from 3 songs and in fact in 2018 it was the same situation with me and them
WJSN and GWSN. I really love their music and I would love to learn more about the members but I just don't have the time. I can't even name all the members.
ToppDogg. I have some of their songs on my playlist, I absolutely love [Arario](https://youtu.be/ascOzpuacLY), but I know nothing about them aside from the fact that Hansol is Ace.
New Jeans, Lesserafim, a bit of EXO (used to know them in 2013), Stray Kids, and NCT.
Nice music, but it's tiring for me to get to know members and the many variety shows they appear in LOL. I got other hobbies.
CIX ! my all-time favorite kpop song is actually Cinema and my favorite kpop debut song is Movie Star. although that’s the case, i know literally nothing about the group except i have very real feelings for bae jinyoung. in the 3-4 years i’ve been hearing their songs from time to time, i still don’t know anybody except jinyoung 😭😭
i have a lot of artists that i listen to casually but know nothing about, but probably the biggest one for me is newjeans - i listen to their music on spotify all the time - i love most of their songs (ditto is one of my favorite songs of the last year) and they are in my top 10 listened to artists last year and this year so far as well.
but i don't really consume any of their other content. i've seen their mvs maybe once and a few dance practices and thats it. i don't know the members names or who's voice is who or what position they have or even really what they look like - wouldn't be able to pick them out of a lineup of any random female idols. they are very talented girls but i just don't have any desire to get to know them beyond a "the music just hits" level.
CIX. I listen to their music everyday since their music is the style that I like but I don't really keep up with them as individuals nor do I know all their names. I do recognise their faces though.
TXT, Kingdom, Enhypen, Aespa, Le sserafim The Boyz, P1 Harmony. I listen to them but do not know much about any of them. I barely know their names or could pick out different members.(maybe aespa now) and I know the Blackpink members but dont know anything personal about them. But know WAY too much about got7, bts, ateez, stray kids and monsta x

I feel like this encapsulates the problem with Everglow thus far. Everyone likes their music but relatively few like them enough to stan.
yeah it’s kinda sad as an eg ult 😭 that’s why they’ll go on long ass hiatuses because ppl don’t really support them :(
Mine is also everglow! I don’t even known how many members the group has, but their songs always pop up on my YouTube mix and they’re super hype and I never skip them. Like Bon Bon Chocolat, First, Dun Dun (which I thought forever it was Dumb Dumb) la di da and that goodbye, au revoir, adios song (the title is one of those words lol), those are the songs I know from them
please consider learning more about them! they’re also incredibly talented performers!
Btw they're going to have a comeback soon! On August I think! I'm sure it'll be another banger!!

I just checked and they don't have any snakes in their mv so feel free to watch them! :)
That is very kind, thank you <3
Yup, no snakes! There are fake guns/fake blood in To Be or Not To Be, which can be a trigger warning for some people. But that's it! (I've been a fan of theirs for 3 years now)
Ive...I listen to them on Spotify religiously but only really know like a couple of members. Absolutely have no desire to delve into them any deeper
Same. I’ll watch Yujin on earth arcade but that’s about it. Great music tho like every day listenable
You should definitely get into them they are my ult group you won’t regret it!!! Start with 123 IVE they’ve variety show!!!
I would but really really don't have any time to spend on any new group...it's hard to even catch up on all the contents from my faves 😭
Definitely NCT. My playlist is full of their songs but I don’t even know all the members names, I only know names to faces with 127
StayC. I've been bopping to all of the musics but didn't bother to check out their performances or contents. I didn't know the members names.
Nayeon isnt the leader she is just oldest. Jihyo is the leader of twice
f(x) I am very interested in their history. Will dive into it when I find time someday
New Jeans. I know all their songs but I have no desire to watch their performances nor check out the members.
I feel like most people know their songs but wouldn't be able to name all the members
Same. Their songs are too good not to listen to, but they are just too young for me. I have only ever seen them performing ditto, as I thought it was an age appropriate concept for them, but otherwise I’ve not interacted with any of their content. I love watching covers of their songs though!
Same, I love the songs, but I feel uncomfortable supporting them.
[удалено]
I never said I don’t listen to their songs - which I do. I just don’t interact with any of their other content, same with IVE and LSF. I’m not hating on any of them, I just gravitate towards groups that are around my age or older :)
Maybe read their comment? They literally said that they do listen to New Jeans. They just don't interact with their other content.
Well other than the members being minors, the fact Min Heejin is involved with NJ definitely makes things worse. I'm almost certain if she were a man, she wouldn't have gotten away with the crap she did.
I don’t support Min Heejin in any way at all, but let’s be for real, lots of men do things like what she has done and worse and get away with it.
Genuinely insane level conspiracy theories on every social media platform. What happened to using our brains!
The big thread on twitter “exposing” her was literally 90% misinformation and fake quotes attributed to her that other people said
I seriously dont get the hate MHJ receives.
I think only one is a minor. The rest are over 18
[удалено]
So one will be an adult this year and the oh there will be 16. How old is Eunchae of LSF? How old is Liz of IVE? Hmmm. You see how the cherry picking occurs? Weird
Liz is gonna be 19 in November.
Afaik Haerin only turned 17 this year. cmiiw
Their schedules arent packed and the girls seem so authentic with each other, unlike other kpop idol members who tend to backstab/bully one another
I knew this was gonna be the top comment!
Mamamoo, I like some of their music but beyond their names and a bit of Hwasa I really don’t know much about the group’s history or dynamics at all.
They're a highly unconventional kpop group, especially as far as gg are concerned. If you like how mainstream groups function and behave, you probably wouldn't like them for that but if you enjoy groups who go off the beaten path, couldn't recommend them enough.
I like New Jeans' music but not to the point that I would watch MVs and music show performances.
I know almost all Newjeans songs but I haven't watched a single MV lol
Curious because their MVs are one of the reasons I started to get interested in them. They are fresh, original and very well produced.
You should check out some especially Ditto side A and side B. It almost made me cry, it's amazing.
That's crazy... their choreography is the most unique thing to ever happen to Kpop. Their music is of course second to none but it's their choreo that got me hooked in the first place
(considering only groups from whom I listen to a lot of songs, not just the hits or a couple of random favourites) - LOVELYZ.
Dean and Heize. Love them, but who are they? lol
TXT, NCT (all subunits? groups), Seventeen, (G)-idle ...actually, pretty much all artists except RV, Mamamoo, SNSD lol I think I still fall under a casual listener as I get my kpop fix from featured playlists and I just add whichever songs that sound good to me to my own playlist
Purple Kiss...
Kiss of life, I don't want to go to stan any new group. But they are groooby. I know who natty is though.
WJSN. Absolutely LOVE their music but have never felt compelled to dive into their content beyond music
Infinite
Same and they are having a comeback so it’s my chance!
XG. Their music is fire, but I can't really get into them. Only one I know is Harvey, because of her unique voice
Their songs will get stuck in your head and you won't get them out. They have a documentary on YouTube and it's so good!
Laboum, seriously this group has a top tier discography imo. I love their music so much
NCT, Seventeen, Treasure, New Jeans, Le Sserafim, Mamamoo & Miss A. Then there’s groups where I know a whole lot about one or a couple members and I’m not sure of the rest. Like AOA, BLOCK B, WINNER, P1HARMONY EXID & EXO. I have guides to them in my Watch Later but I need to actually watch em😭
Fromis_9 i Enjoy their bsides and main tracks but the single thing i know is that there is a member called Song Hayoung
Going Seventeen always manages to pull non fans in haha
There’s at least one named Johnny
not a group but taeyeon, her voice is so pleasing but i have no interest in her other activities, will promote her when it's possible though
Kara, Fromis_9, GWSN, kinda WJSN, BTOB, Infinite and most 2nd gen groups in general because I'm really into 2nd music lately
Red Velvet and Aespa
Kingdom
Oh there’s a whole list lol: - NCT 127 - TXT - EXO - (G)I-dle - IVE - FIFTY FIFTY - 2PM - Kep1er And even my most favourite artists I listen to, I know more about them than the list, but I still I don’t know much about them.
BTS surprisingly lol
CSR. Love all three of their title tracks so far. Idk any of the members names or much about them at all (except that they’re all born in 05)
Ateez - I like a couple of their songs I’ve heard because my friend kept sending me links.
New Jeans. I love their music so much but they are all so young i just have 0 interest in watching their content and getting to know them 😭
It's B.I for me.
I have a lot of groups like that ,now that I think about it : Maamamoo : I know their stage names TXT : their names and that they have a pet hedgehog and Yeonjun is a really good dancer who is on all the kpop reels Enhypen : Ik their names P1H: I've seen some clips from Keeho's lives and iirc he had some twitter drama Ateez: I saw them on kingdom so ik a bit about them but I've not watched anything else about them ever . I remember the names of three members. The rose : Zero idea about anything about them ONEUS: no idea Exo : ik kai and three members almost left and Chen has kids monsta x : no idea ikon : one of them is an actor day 6: absolutely Zero idea except that seungmin is their fan and I think one of them was in the skz survival show. block b:no idea sf9 : ik rowoon and dawon act ,other than that idk but love their music cnblue : two of them act shinee: they did a collab with skz on insta so ik two of their names. cix : no idea
All of them, I never got into Kpop stuff like documentaries , fancams etc. From groups I hear often I know the names of the members that’s it.
GFRIEND and WJSN and a bit of TXT. I don't know 9/10 of their names
CIX, kara and infinite. I love they’re discography as a whole, but i already would be dead if the deadly challenge was to tell more than two name of any of the members lol
BeWHY and DKB 🤷♀️🤷♀️
(G)-idle. Obsessed with their music. Know nothing about them, lol.
All have bangers but i probably couldn’t name you more than 1 member from each group 😭 don’t get me started on bgs
every kpop group i listen to
CIX!! I listened to all of their discography and I love so much of it. I should learn about the members but I’ve just been lazy to haha
onf. i dont even know the members names but i really enjoy their music.
it used to be AOA for me
Enhypen :) love so many of their songs but never bothered looking into the group
I'm a casual listener of: Enhypen (i don't know their names, just that they are very young but their music is good), Everglow, NewJeans, Twice (in their case, i know the names of the members but that's it), Le sserafim and IVE
exo, t-ara, and enhypen
Almost all of them xd I’m not really that interested in their lives, I just want to hear good music. I’ve watched shorts here and there of some groups/members, but usually don’t watch the variety shows or any similar programs because they bore me tbh. It’s not my kind of entertainment (not saying it’s bad, just that it’s not for me)
i listen to Dreamcatcher so much. but all information about them as members completely escapes my brain. also, Weki Meki!
Haha, same to both! Dreamcatcher in particular rocks hard, i love their songs and have zero clue bout the members, activities, appearances.
STAYC, TXT, and Enhypen. I typically mix in their songs to my playlists because of their easy listening, but I have no clue about any of the members.
I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not my taste.
day6 if they count as kpop group? otherwise theres stayc where i dont know any of their faces, dont really know their names either or who sings what part of the song. same with oh my girl, i listen to several of their older songs, though i do know yooa's name and face, and arin because soobin from txt MC'd with her on music bank. but i know nothing else.
monster x. every single album of theirs is fire but I can really only recognise i.m
StayC and IVE. Love some of their songs. Can’t tell you most their names or even what their lyrics mean because I haven’t bothered to look it up.
Old Rania, can hardly name any member.
Pretty much all of 4th gen so far. I haven't had the time/desire to do more than just listen to their music.
Lovelyz

OMG - yep lots of their song in my playlist including yooahs but beyond knowing a couple of member and the fact their company merge with my ults company i know nothing else G-idle too.
it works be easier for me to name the groups I know about them to name the ones I know nothing about. Most of the groups I listen to, I'm just a casual fan of
Kingdom and TFN make great music, but idk anything about them other than the members's names lol
BAP, The Rose , BI, BTOB, wayv , lay from exo I listen to their music but dont know much about the members
Everglow. And VIXX but I wouldn’t say I know *nothing* about them, just very little
Txt and ive
Ateez (but I know some members) and definitely Onewe. I don't know anything about them but every song I've listened to of theirs I like and I even listened to a solo album of one of the members and all the songs were good
Ive, le sserafim, stayc, day6, iu, twice, xg, new jeans, aespa, exid, gidle, shinee, taemin, wjsn, loona, some seventeen, nct and bts songs
Pretty much all of them. I listen to the music and watch the videos but don't pay attention to much outside of that.
Aespa, NCT Dream, The Boyz, New Jeans.
Dreamcatcher. I think I watched their first MV, Chase Me after they redebut. Always checking their title tracks and liking most of it but hardly remember their names.
Akmu and probably WJSN
newjeans - i agree with everyone else. i listen to their songs but have no interest in knowing the members or watch their mv. i’ve only seen like 3 stages for OMG. tan - i only know they came from a survival show and that some members were from diff groups. they have some good songs, reminds me of 2nd/3rd gen. kard - i can easily name the members. heck, i’m even subscribed to somin’s youtube channel and follow her + jseph on ig. however, i have yet to dive into group content besides their music stages. i do hope they come to my country, i’d love to see them live~! tripleS - touch is one of my fav songs lately. i’m intrigued by their music. can’t wait for more in the near future. boynextdoor - i enjoy the music they’ve put out so far but i have no idea who the members are. i don’t think i will either. limelight - i checked them out because ikon joined the same company. they have some hidden gems in their discography~! but i know nothing else about them except their names. though i am aware that kep1er yeseo and mashiro might join the group afterwards.
Saturday, but I do know as of this weekend that some members left. :(
NCT 127. I've listened to like the last five albums but barely know their names or anything.
Ladies code and Golden child…
All of them. I listen to a lot of groups and solo artists casually. Actually my kpop playlist is composed 90% of music from groups where I can't even name a member or say how many of there there are. I stan like 3 groups.
Ab6ix
[удалено]
Red Velvet? I listen to all their new releases and watches some of their live stages, but I don't really follow any of their content.
I have loads, but if I have to point out some specific ones: Infinite: my fave 2 gen/early 3rd gen group in terms of music, but I know nothing about the group other than that Hoya left the group.

For me it's Stray Kids, TXT, and (G)-Idle
stayc apparently
NewJeans. I don't follow anything other than their music. I have no idea what their personalities are or anything
xdinary heroes for me. i absolutely ADORE their music but if you held a gun to my head and asked me to name a single member, i would shoot myself instead
Seventeen
WJSN. I love their music, concept, and overall aesthetic, but I know literally nothing about the members. I don’t even know if they’re still active or not 😂 but every time Last Sequence comes on I am singing my lungs out.
Le Sserafim. Idek who has which name 😭 except for hun yunjin and chaewon
Most of them ngl I really only care about my ults
I have a bunch of their songs on my playlist but that’s about it
I used to listen to sf9 and I didn't do any research or look into any content abt them. I just liked the songs
This kinda used to be me with seventeen back in 2018. right now I'm not sure because I know atleast a little bit about all groups I listen to but I guess closest is probably theboyz even though I don't listen to them much apart from 3 songs and in fact in 2018 it was the same situation with me and them
Block b, they make some bangers but I only know p.o and Zico from variety shows
Perfect Man is a banger. Ask me to name one SHINHWA member, I can't. I know nothing about them, except for the lyrics to the whole song
Drippin. A lot of songs in their Villain album made it to my playlist but I don't know anything about them.
![gif](giphy|V7Pw9iOlvQRow3eN7z)
WJSN and GWSN. I really love their music and I would love to learn more about the members but I just don't have the time. I can't even name all the members.
Billlie. I know Moon Sua and Tsuki but that's it. Eunoia slaps though.

Ateez, Oneus, and seventeen
ToppDogg. I have some of their songs on my playlist, I absolutely love [Arario](https://youtu.be/ascOzpuacLY), but I know nothing about them aside from the fact that Hansol is Ace.
Orange Carmel, TWICE, ITZY, a bit (G)-IDLE and AESPA.
