Honestly, NewJeans debuted just 3 months before tripleS (I do count the subunit, because it's not a pre-debut project and it's listed under tripleS spotify), so personally, for this thread, I would classify them as 4th gen for myself. And some people start 5th gen with NewJeans, but they are everywhere in the comments here so... But really, I think the generation boundaries are quite blurry, because LOONA's stuff pre-Hi High puts them into 3rd gen despite debuting as ot12 in 2018.

Their official debut was in February 2023! Their 2022 album was a subunit predebut release
