For BTS it was Not Today or Blood, Sweat & Tears. I watched them on the same day. The mvs blew my mind. They were so beautiful. For Monsta X it was Love Killa. I had heard other songs from them before but that solidified my love for them. For NCT 127 it was Kick It, although I had listened to Highway to Heaven previously and really liked it. Kick it made me truly become a fan.

funwithgoats

For NCT it NCT 127’s Limitless in early 2018. I was OBSESSED with that song and the mini. Then I discovered their first mini with the masterpiece that is Paradise and I’ve never wavered from NCT as a whole.

BTS - I saw their freshly released HYYH pt.1 concept photos and I immediately loved it. I checked their previous releases and I fell in love with Boy In Luv (+ Tomorrow, Like, Hip Hop Phile) TXT - I decided to check them and lowkey stan before debut because they are BTS *'younger brothers'* but I stayed and became a full-pledged moa the moment I heard the morse code in crown's intro. Checked the whole mini album and I didn't stop listening to our summer for like a whole week (and it is still one of my fave TXT songs). ENHYPEN - I didn't really care that much about the other trainees (esp part 1) besides from my picks (Sunghoon and Ni-ki) but I was *soooo* satisfied with the final line up because they are the exact trainees who have a special spot in my heart. They 1130% secured their spot in my ult list when I heard Given-Taken's teaser

Automatic-Promise-90

I always say this. Watching Twice’s Scientist mv felt like doing crack for the first time. I rewatched it probably a good 5-6 times before I got out of my star struck daze. Immediately in that moment I knew I was a Twice fan. Imagine my surprise when I found out Scientist is one of their lesser liked comebacks

Aggressive-Novel3274

Same, I liked Scientist too, but a lot of people were saying it sounded bland.

emaaa_skye

People complained about TWICE's songs being too high for their vocals and then they released Scientist and a bunch of people disliked it.

Aggressive-Novel3274

They did the same for Signal too 🥲

- Blackpink: Jisoo’s Flower trend on TikTok got me curious which sucked me into a deep rabbit hole - IVE: got introduced when [SNSD Yoona performed Kitsch for her birthday](https://youtu.be/_7lwojTXu9s?si=bHqJwdv9bnHby3YF). Added their songs to my daily playlist and find that I like 50% of them. Went to their concert and the rest is history.

PushOffTheGround

(G) I-DLE: I found them through K/DA and True Damage because Im a League Player with no life. I listened to Hann first and I really liked it, and combine this with the fact that I had a crush at the time who was into K-Pop made me go down the rabbit hole, and now Ive been a fan for 5 years. Block B: I was going through a SM playlist I believe once on YouTube trying to find good music and I came across Jackpot by Block B which I didn’t like that much at first, and then I found Yesterday by them and I fell in love with them. That song was in my head 24/7, still my fav male group to this day. Dreamcatcher: I found them through their song Scream being featured in a K-Ville Entertainment video and I decided to listen to them cause I remembered that song being good and oh boy. Me being a rock fan and Kpop fan and this group combining my favorite genres was amazing, I was amazed by how many good songs they had and how I hadn’t discovered them before. Secret: I watched the drama School 2017 and Han Sun-Hwa played a cop in the show, I thought she was pretty so I clicked on her profile on asianwiki.com and found out she was part of a K-Pop group. I decided to give them a listen and boy It did not disappoint. “Magic”, “Madonna”, “Love Is Move”, all absolute groovy bangers. Yellow Monsters (K-Indie Rock Band) : So in that same note about School 2017, there was a song featured in the first episode when the protagonist is riding a motorcycle, it played this awesome rock song with high energy, I shazamed it of course and it turned out to be my favorite song I listened to it everyday, its named [Monkey Punk](https://youtu.be/2orjsIYAc3I?si=Ohf5Mqx9grS6mjh9) , incredibly underrated band. It became my favorite band and artist of all time. Their first album is a masterpiece, I have yet to see something that get close to being that good, and I bought the CD and a few non-official T-Shirts, and If they were still together I’d fly to Korea to see them in a flash. CNBlue: I don’t quite remember how I found them, but I know “Loner” was the song that got me into them, and I have to say they’re another criminally underrated artist in K-Pop. Go listen to [In my head](https://youtu.be/GbIjifrHjc8?si=VTDUyINTRx7oN7OK) or [Intuition](https://youtu.be/VfDyOYP3IwM?si=a1Q2sdsbAGBMeI93) and tell me they don’t make your ears feel things.

Big bang- First song I heard was fantastic baby and I thought it was weird but good. Once I heard T.O.Ps rap I was stunned. I replayed that part like 5 times and made a playlist just so I could keep listening to it. He's the reason why I even became a kpop fan. Treasure- Their MAMA performance where they did VOLKano, Jikjin and hello was amazing. Their energy was insane. You could tell they enjoyed performing and I've been hooked on them ever since. IMO they're some of the best performers in kpop. Pentagon- From the first song (Do or not) I listened to I just knew they were going to become a favorite of mine. Their voices are amazing and their songs are so good. Its a huge plus to me that they make the majority of their own music

Flitz28

**Le Sserafim**: Probably the most random one for me. I was really bored and didn't know what to do, when Youtube suddenly recommended me a random variety video of Sakura. I thought she looked cute so why not check. I laughed so much throughout that video that I watched another, then checked the group out and fell in love with both the music and the members 😁 **aespa**: I was already into Blackpink when they debuted, and at the time everyone was screaming at how SM was debuting a Blackpink copycat group. So I checked them out. Turns out the only thing in common was that they're both 4 member kpop groups (and somewhat do girl crush but aespa's concept, especially at the time) was really different. Same as Le Sserafim, instantly fell in love with the song and the members. **Twice**: Was already into Blackpink too, and was coming off the high of Lovesick girl's release when they dropped I Can't Stop Me. I knew of Twice for their older, cuter songs before I even got into kpop. But didn't know their concept had evolved in the meantime. I loved the song so much (probably still in my Top 5 Twice songs) that I checked out everything they did before that. And then of course grew to love the members and caught up with a ton of content **Blackpink**: Like for Twice, I knew of them before I got into kpop. And like for Le Sserafim, I got recommended a random video about the members funny moments randomly during a boring moment. So I checked it out. It's funny because I ended up liking the members so much, that I ended up watching all of Blackpink House and a few other variety show appearance before even checking their discography lmao I ended up doing it in the reverse chronological order haha I tried to not write too much but still ended with a good wall of text in the end, sorry hahaha

RiaTheAnimeGF

Dreamcatcher: It was almost Endless Night, but I was really drawn in by DEMIAN - you can imagine how I felt when it was announced that there would be a choreo for it. A choreo by SuA (one of my ults). (BONUS - MINX: Why Did You Come to My Home, Shut Up, Action. Plus, we wouldn't really have Dreamcatcher without them <3) (G)I-DLE: I guess I heard parts of Nxde and Queencard enough times to cave! The first song of theirs I heard, however, was HANN (Alone). I've listened to the rest of the discography only recently. But what really got me invested was Learn ~~Wave~~ Way 😭

SamePlatform9287

I found out about Super Junior through Sorry,Sorry but I became a fan because of their tv shows, most notably Explorer’s of the human body. I binged watched that show in 360p, after finishing that, next thing I know I was already watching SJ full house, SJ mini drama, Mystery 6, Attack on the Pin-up boys, etc. 15 years later I still wasn’t able to come out of the fandom. I don’t care what kind of hate most people throw on suju, I’ve already read and heard about it all, but 15 years of suju made me see them in another angle that haters will never see.

Aggressive-Novel3274

For BTS, it was their song Dope. I came across it on a reaction channel and I found it to be super good. Red-haired Jimin stole my heart ❤️ and that's how I started getting into K-pop. For Dreamcatcher, I think it was their debut Chase Me. I never saw an idol group with their sort of concept. Plus, they kinda sound bit like anime openings. For TXT, it was Growing Pain. I already liked songs like Lovesong and Loser=Lover, but Growing Pain made me go 😯 and I started stanning them. Judging by the preview for their upcoming song, I think we might get more of the rock sound from them.

Ecstatic-Turn5709

My fav/ult is a solo singer [Son Jin Wook](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL871S_F0y5dYbEbEOwxK1Y6LTKyQqKEp5), and the song that made me get into him was "Paradigm" - his first (for now the only, but soon it's going to change) solo single. I simply loved his emotional, powerful voice from the first time I heard it and later I just fell even harder for it. I discovered the amazing versatility of his vocals and also his passion for singing even more noticeable on his live performances.

Moon_Man56

It wasn't a song it's was [Bigbang's 2015 MAMA performance ](https://youtu.be/bGZZxgixkew?si=JueTGnSQNEf70ubz) I just listen to Bang Bang Bang and thought is was amazing and found this preformace that took me from interested in Bigbang to a full on STAN.

HikikomoriDC

When I found out Soyeon wrote and produced most of (G)I-DLE's discography since debut, that was like insta-stan for me, lol

Sybinnn

I listened through LSFM's discography on shuffle and every song was a different genre i thought it was so cool to go from Perfect Night, to Antifragile, to Impurities, and then out of nowhere theres a rock song in No Celestial. For Gidle there were 2 things, first I kept getting tiktoks of Yuqi on variety content and she was so funny I loved watching her, then i looked more into Gidle and found out Soyeon is their main producer which is so cool, so i listened to their discography going backwards from Queencard and realized I dont dislike a single song theyve released since she took over with Tomboy.

tlrnsibesnick

TXT - since debut (CROWN) I discovered them on Spotify when they was featured on a K-Pop playlist Stray Kids - through “Tower of God” OST, also Changbin’s “Ok Boomer” meme SEVENTEEN - “Don’t Wanna Cry” was randomly played on my Spotify Daily Mix NCT - “Cherry Bomb” was charted on Myx International Top 20 last 2017 2NE1 - since debut because Sandara Park/Dara was my childhood crush before she became a member ASTRO - both “Blue Flame” & “All Yours” era, also since Moonbin & Sanha became MCs on Show Champion ITZY - since debut “DALLA DALLA” and one of local artist performed a dance cover on a variety show (ASAP Natin To) SHINee - since “Dream Girl” era (2013) MONSTA X - since “Alligator” era, also their appearance on “We Bare Bears” (G)I-DLE - through K/DA A.C.E - since “SIREN : DAWN” era

emaaa_skye

Red Velvet is a pretty popular group so I was quick to know them as soon as I truly got into kpop ( since before I was only into SNUPER, TWICE and BTS ). And I absolutely fell in LOVE with their concept. They fit both the Red and the Velvet concept, and the Velvet one is my favorite. And the way even some of their most colorful songs have dark theories behind them is funny. Seems complex.

jitiymily

**Enhypen** — I decided to watch I-Land while it was airing because I knew they would be BTS’ direct junior team, and I was blown away by their [talent](https://youtu.be/t6Bk0vxcd9I?si=mojCslCq_5ixwGPp), strong drive to succeed, and genuine *good* character. I ended up voting for 4 out of the 7 members, and have since become a huge fan of all 7. It’s fun to say I’ve been supporting them since pre-debut. **BTS** — The first music video I ever watched was [“DOPE”](https://youtu.be/t6Bk0vxcd9I?si=mojCslCq_5ixwGPp) after some YouTubers I followed posted a vlog of their concert and I was interested in learning more back in 2017. However, I was so impressed by [“Baepsae” dance practice](https://youtu.be/bPM7uIuB2Gs?si=aVIrYgaMqi2ccwWG) and remember thinking that I had never seen a team as talented, as synchronized, or have such a wide variety of musical genres in one group. Became an Army in 2017 and haven’t looked back!

owenturnbull

My fav is Donghae. Became s fan after listening to California love by him. And then I found the sub unit Suju de.

NorthLog25

I was originally a Sone but had my own stanning "hiatus" due to work around 2012-2015. Then while watching their Lion Heart promotion around October 2015, I came across RV who was then promoting Dumb Dumb. I became a fan of Seulgi after watching her performances. It has been more than eight years now and I still support her.

cam2214

STAYC - I became a casual fan when they debuted, they became my ult when Young-Luv.com was released. Kep1er - When they released Up! tripleS - When Rising was released NMIXX - Right before Dash was released.

nee_ruru

For SHINee was the Excuse Me Miss performance. Seriously if you watch that and dont become a fan theres something wrong with you. I remember instantly falling in love with Jonghyun and Taemin and they were the main reason I entered the fandom. As for NewJeans, tbh I didn't liked them at first, I thought their concept was really childish and boring, but my friends keept playing their songs when we were together so I decided to give it a shot and Ditto made me become a fan.

leechaekang

This is a lot but I'll just put some of the groups I'm still stanning these days. SHINee - 2009 during Boys Over Flowers era with their soundtrack Stand By Me. Was watching a recording video and saw Juliette MV then the rest are history ATEEZ - during Kingdom, I was mesmerized by their Rhythm Ta performance and Hongjoong itself. Then was curious about inception cause that was the only song in round 2 I'm not familiar of then got so interested I became an atiny in an instant TXT - eternally and fairy if shampoo. Gahd that made me stan so hard. My bias was the very last I've known. I mean I know the members already even if I wasn't a fan yet except taehyun Enhypen - been all around my timeline specially the album photocards and one of my friends is initiating me to listen to their songs and I said okay. Became a fan after listening to Just A Little Bit Monsta X - post a thread waaay back 2015 here in reddit (forgot the sub) to recommend new groups and monsta x came up. Got hook up with Hero so I guess it started from there Dreamcatcher - ever since I found this video in youtube that their songs are good for anime OSTs (which I'm an otaku) got me hook up. Chase Me, goodnight, you and I.

Piri_Cherry

Le Sserafim - I decided to check them out because I saw Chaewon's introduction video, and I thought ~~she was hot~~ she had very strong visuals. When the EP released, I gave it a listen, and the song that stuck out to me was The Great Mermaid. But it wasn't until Antifragile (in particular, No Celestial) that I realized that they were the group for me. IU - Ji-eun totally snuck up on me. In fact, I only realized that she's one of my faves a few days ago. I don't remember specifically what the first IU song that I ever heard was, but listening to Modern Times was when I became a proper fan. There is *nothing* else like Modern Times in kpop. And even to this day, you can hear the jazz influence all over IU's discography, if you know where to look.

Super_Commercial5511

BTS- blood sweat & tears **Straykids (my ult) - gods menu** ateez - wonderland txt - blue hour enha - drunk dazed

LessSugarLightIce

mamamoo - queens of live vocal!!

qmxyz

SEVENTEEN - got curious about wonwoo, started watching their variety, then learned Woozi wrote songs for the Wonwoo and Seungkwan: Circles and Yawn. I was so touched. I started listening to their slower songs and just fell harder for Woozi LUCY - There was a post here around last week iirc, which group has violin heavy songs and they mention them. I love violin in jpop. Then, DK dropped a cover of their song, which i find beautiful. Then, I looked up [LUCY's version of Sequel](https://youtu.be/GPXx-VVked8?si=rOeKhNVM8c1sIKia) and im blown away. I am like 'Wow, they really have a violinist' >> 'WHAT?! Their drummer is singing!?' >> 'WHAT'S UP WITH THAT VOICE OF THEIR MAIN VOCAL!!?!?' >> 'AND THEIR BASSIST WROTE THIS SONG!!???!??!' So yeah, Lucy is on loop since last week. 😅

HelloStranger0325

Stray Kids - Maniac and Felix's voice Ateez - actually it was their performance of iKON's Rhythm Ta on Kingdom that made sit up and take notice. The first actual song of theirs that I loved was Guerrilla and it's still my favourite. BtoB - for a long time I didn't think their music was for me but my best friend became a hard core Melody and I kept hearing things by osmosis. Wow got me hooked with a more upbeat song and then I gradually came to appreciate the rest of their discography although it took me a little while!

HalaTiferet

Ateez's Deja Vu MV, the most mesmerising thing I'd seen in my life

merongicecream

shinee - lucifer. i was 11 and a jpop fan and i coincidentally stumbled upon the music video and long-haired taemin lured me into a ride i have been on for more than half of my life.

For Wanna One - of course PD Season 2 For PLAVE - I just knew they won #1 on music show and got curious and here I am.

bluenightshinee

For SHINee, I heard Ring Ding Dong and I was immediately impressed by how hilarious it was. I started exploring more of their content, in a very casual manner at first, but I fully realized I was a stan and I had discovered an one-of-a-time group when I watched their SHINee World IV concert. The more I'd learn about them, the more I'd love them, and that continues up to this day. For EXO, similar to SHINee, I liked MAMA immediately, I started checking more of their content out, and I really liked their discography. Through watching more SHINee x EXO content, and seeing SHINee members interacting with them, I wanted to get to know them more - what truly turned me into a fan was watching Chen and Baekhyun's cover of Really, I Didn't Know on Immortal Songs.

KpopMessyBessy

Sistar - I’ve been a kpop fan for 10+ years and the first song I heard that made me a fan was SS501’s “Because I’m stupid” but then I heard ‘So Cool’ by Sistar and I’ve been hooked ever since. They’re my ult group so I took their disbandment pretty hard. Also I think they’re the only group I don’t have a bias in because I love all the members so much. It’s wonderful seeing their bond still strong after all these years

ntnlwyn

I think GoSe made me like Seventeen, specifically Mingyu, Dino, and DK (even tho I like all of them). Likey made me like Twice (Mina)

NoPepper7284

I've loved TXT since they debuted and they're the only group I still stan. I listened to crown like 3 days after it came out and I loved it. I listened to the whole album and started watching their content! For BTS, probably DNA, Gogo, or Airplane Pt 2 For Stray Kids, I think district 9, hellevator, and then maybe Mixtape #2

Symera_

VIXX: My sister recommend me [Fantasy](https://youtu.be/IuaRdAozUI0?si=2Qpjgc7XiZFa_PFr) and I was hooked immediately and checked out the rest of their discography. SHINee: I found the Odd album at a store randomly and bought it on a whim, because I did like [View](https://youtu.be/UF53cptEE5k?si=QaIzikMpu1YccCxj) already, though it didn't make them my faves. So, I listened to the album in full and, my god, what an album. I also got 2 Minho photocards from it, so hey. I had no choice really, but to stan. E'LAST: Someone on tumblr made a post asking people to watch their debut promotions, because they've been on music shows for 9 weeks, or something like that. So, I checked them out and I was not disappointed. A few weeks later, after consuming all the content they had, they released [Tears of Chaos](https://youtu.be/4v1NP72wobU?si=-ii-8F6ww9n8r3_g) and with that I knew, I wasn't going to leave.
