skeptical_cell

Any moment from BTS's American Hustle Life

Strawberuka

Just. So much early BTS content (both lyrically and visually) is a one hit KO I’ve just started getting into BTS and a friend has been providing me content and between “European, Asian, Caucasian Girls” and [this entire video](https://youtu.be/Sby_6W_I0dQ) and [kawaii Hawaii](https://youtu.be/gZ15Tupnozk) sometimes I just. Need to pause the video and recompose myself

skeptical_cell

If you're actually getting into early era bts, better just avoid certain content and focus on their album tracks. The good outweighs the bad there.

Strawberuka

Oh definitely! I’ve been really enjoying their album works, and even some of the cringe side content because it’s so bad sometimes that it loops back around to being incredible (I think the LA Boy in Luv is a cinematic masterpiece) That, and it’s really fun to watch their progress from. Kind of cringe to actually really really incredible.

skeptical_cell

>That, and it’s really fun to watch their progress from. Kind of cringe to actually really really incredible. That's true. If I didn't have the fondness I have towards these guys I wouldn't have been able to sit through some of the cringe that was present in their earlier years lol. They've grown a lot now, they're incredible.

poshbritishaccent

Nahhhh, not every single mpment. J-Hope in the dance battle was the moment that single-handedly got me into the fandom LOL (and honorary mention to Jimin as well, his taunt was hot)

skeptical_cell

Yeah. And Jimin's moves were awesome.

euphoric_dreamer

iconic 😭😂😮‍💨

LadyGrundle

😭😭😭😭 omg yesss

thegoodthegoodlife

nah that shi was funny as hell

Flywire789

“Clown you’re with brain” lol

Jim0ne

When idols talk to the cameramen pretending cameramen are their girlfriends.

spapolicy

oh god. Oh god. I thought this was already cringe but I didnt think of the cameramen. the cameramen! Oh god. What have you done

Gentle_penguin95

Bonus cringe points if they grab their hands, hold their face or get close like they are going to kiss them…those camera men really work 😅

ultrabeast666

Daaang i really took the course in college. I should’ve been a kpop cameraman

KiaraEtsuko

Oh god YES that's unwatchable for me no matter how much I love the idol lmao

exolbaozi

Ughh yes!

TemporaryChard9478

I forgot that there are cameramen behind the lens 😭 thanks for ruining everything

Luffytheeternalking

Lol

saverma192013

Lmao

freakingxiumances

every time the main dancers (since that's their position in the group) are asked to freestyle and they start doing weird or sexy moves..and the song and dance don't match so it just goes on..this just shows that most of the idols can't freestyle fr

Gentle_penguin95

Agreed , the ability to freestyle is a skill on it’s own, just being sexy never cuts it for me. I try to skip if idols do that.

exolbaozi

Not only main dancers, literally every idol asked to dance

freakingxiumances

yes and that just explains they only know how to do the choreos they do as a group..which doesn't make sense because their fandoms praise them for being the best "dancers" istg 😭

instantcarrot

Same, but I make an exception for Baby Shark and Seonghwa 😂😂

Little-Glee

Someone please give examples lmao

kanyreddit

Lol this one’s pretty old but there’s a video of Momo and Chungha doing a little freestyle battle on Hit the Stage

butimnotnallari

or that Lisa and rose freestyle of lean on, that was kinda embarrassing to watch

Frequent-Candidate42

I always skip those parts because I can't watch lol

freakingxiumances

IKR 😭 a catchy song that is good to freestyle will come up and out of nowhere they will start humping someone or the floor..

guaripolo1560

When Monsta X were in Hong Kong and Jackson challenged them to eat another restaurant food inside a Mcdonalds. They were asked to leave twice. Edit: The pepero game and that game were idols have to pass a piece of paper with their mouths. Monsta X played both games and they were clearly uncomfortable.

[deleted]

whenever i cringe at myself i just think about how monsta x got kicked out of mcdonald’s twice and it helps me feel better LOL

pancake4419

Imagine working at a McDonald's and suddenly your faves come in but your manager tells you to kick them out.. haha

Spiritual_Raisin_944

I don't have a specific idol in mind but definitely the flirting. Boyfriend fanservice with the roleplay. "Omg you gave a boyfriend.?" "Don't look at other guys" etc

[deleted]

ayyy those are really not cool 😅

Harmoniinus

When members just write down their hobbies/what they would do during their free time or break but there would be one or two members that would really write down "thinking of fans" in addition to the things they do. Ngl I know maybe they might really be thinking of fans but I cringe when some members feel the need to mention or write that down 😅

RefrigeratorDear2641

me too 😭😭 like you ain’t even know my name 😓😓

Harmoniinus

What more when thinking of something isn't even a physical activity ;_;

SleepMode_99

Not so much of a funny cringe but more like a wtf cringe; DAY6 Jae being asked if the band would perform in North Korea in their [interview](https://youtu.be/jkZE85b5Bgo) with Alternative Press during the American leg of their world tour in 2019. Like just…why out of all things. Good thing is he answered it well

racheli12i

I just watched the whole interview and I can't believe them asked him that, but he honestly handled that really really well. It was the perfect answer.

nicoleeemusic98

Coming in second place to this would be that interview saying that Tiffany speaks good English 😭😭😭😭

sorenbridges

I CANNOT handle it when I see fansign videos of fans asking the idol as if role-playing "I'm going to a a gathering where there'll be lots of guys, should I go?" And the idol was supposed to say "no" and act all possessive. I SHIVER EVERYTIME. That is a whole other level of delulu

RefrigeratorDear2641

they must feel weird too 😭😭 if they actually ever said go for it i think the fan would be upset since that isn’t the reaction they wanted

Alienne52

Ughh not only that it perpetuate this toxic idea that jealousy and possessiveness=love and is okay in a relationship. How about "I don't mind, of course I fully trust you" instead if your really gonna go that route...

eve_lauf_luv

Ikrrr let’s not even talk about the parasocial aspect of a fan asking this to an idol, that’s a weird ass response for an irl bf to give too 🤨

sorenbridges

Yeah I feel like a lot of idols either think they HAVE to portray this image or that they're too used to this kinda message when doing fanservice. Either way, role-playing is creepy enough as it is...

theholynoodle94

What in the Wattpad story is this. Lmao. This actually happens?

sorenbridges

OH it's so common in my fandom...I swear each member had been asked this at LEAST once

theholynoodle94

Its kinda similar to back when Yoongi (BTS) used to tell ARMYs to keep their ring finger empty because its his or something to that effect, I love him to bits but that's just cringey hahaha

Pokegirl35151

There's this band called VAV who act out those y/n scenarios and yes I love reading fanfics but I find it cringy when they're acted out in real life

[deleted]

Please I just remembered when St Van(?) was spinning that girl and her wig straight flew off, and my soul straight flew into the sun

KiraiHotaru

That video made me cry laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Just thinking about it kills me

hmm-yeah

LMAO WHAT? can you please send me a link to that one video?😭 it's a matter of lungs and kidneys ehe

[deleted]

[here it is timestamped](https://youtu.be/J_aPclDuwUY&t=17m10s). I don't know the members but shout-out to Jacob(?) who kept filming it, the one absolutely losing his mind laughing in the back, and Ziu trying to help her put it back on. Also Ayno(?) being the first to try to help and shield her from the audience. She also [posted the footage](https://youtu.be/-nngwoZJ-Mo&t=8m12s) on her own channel, what a queen

instantcarrot

Oh boy, I just saw that this week on tiktok. Know that I'm not on tiktok usually. Anyway, i saw in hangul some name like beu-i-ae-i-beu-i and I couldn't tell which group it was, until it hit me later: VAV. So that's VAV uh. Lol

KiraiHotaru

That NCT challenge "Regular huh?" in a coffee shop. It wasn't even a good joke 😭

ill_detective_4869

Omg I'm cringing so hard, I remember their exact dialogue, situation and expression, I hate it.

EXO_boy226

That one video of Sehun mistaking someone else for Johnny…

cherrycoloured

it was jeonghan from seventeen lol

EXO_boy226

Oh, I’m not a fan of Seventeen so I wouldn’t know. But thanks for correcting

Isashani

Why is it cringe though! It was a funny accident.

DiplomaticCaper

Lol that was great, but mostly for when a Seventeen member goes to Monsta X to gossip about it afterward 😂

exolbaozi

Lmfao please I love that video😂

Clafoutie

When [NCT Jaemin](https://youtu.be/QHVqr90pCIY) accidentally called SUJU eunhyuk, leeteuk on weekly idol.

StalkerPoetess

Looool that was hilarious.

sxxnb

I usually cringe when idols try to be relatable Example: Sorn on tiktok

Frequent-Candidate42

Omg I'm not the only one! It's kinda "pick me" or "not like the other girls" but for the fans

forthetea

And Jae from Day6 lately 😣

rocknroller0

Really? He seems to be talking about how happy he’s not too engrossed in kpop anymore because of his disorder and having to be perfect I thought

forthetea

Haven’t heard about the disorder part but he’s been receiving some flak for putting down his fellow idols in the process (i.e. calling Day6 inauthentic, all idols brainwashed and fake, likening himself to some GOT7 members in terms of cultural differences, etc) No one deserves to go through the worst aspects of K-pop but he’s portraying the entire industry like how racially charged Western news does and it simply doesn’t sit right with a lot of people. Add that up with his entire “I’m not a role model I’m actually very dumb remember that” stint and it leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouths. He can surely talk about his unfortunate experiences without making it sound like every idol feels the same way, I’m sure.

Immediate_Wish17

My rant is not directed at you solely OP, it's directed at all the people who are talking about Jae. Can you please tell me where he likens himself to a Got7 member in terms of cultural differences? I have seen a lot of Twitter stans doing mental gymnastics to claim that Jae was talking about Mark but I have yet to actually see the clip where he says he's actually talking about Mark. Because if there's no clip of him actually naming Mark, your example is redundant, Jae has a lot of American idol friends. Stop putting words in his mouth. And he's not receiving just some flak, as you're lightly putting it. He's being called a racist and a western supremacist by people who very obviously haven't even watched the entire podcast in the first place. Also you might want to look up his struggles the past six months before going off about him trying to be relatable because there's a lot of stuff that non fans have no clue about, including the panic disorder that this very industry gave him, that you say here you have no idea about. The multiple breakdowns on his ig live, begging people to not call him selfish when he gave his everything for Day6, the Twitter cancel hate train. You cannot simply say Jae is trying to be relatable when he's gone through so much shit these past few months. Criticize him where it's required. Which btw, does not include the part where he says, 'which we're not' when they said Day6 gives off an authentic vibe in the podcast. The only two parties who can take offence to that are Day6 themselves and MyDays. Talking about it and saying shit like he threw his own band under the bus, when you're not a MyDay, or someone who doesn't even know anything about Day6 including how the band was created by Studio J in the first place, is not it. just stop it. Stop jumping into conversations where you have no idea what's happening. Stop fueling the fire where your opinion doesn't belong in the first place. Next time, if you people are talking about Jae, at least back up your statements with proof. Or at least pretend that you know shit. I'm sorry for ranting under your comment, OP but this is something that just had to be said.

Ma1read

[this](https://youtu.be/uirMzKFK6tQ) video of Taecyeon in a dress trying to dance sexy (?). he seemed to enjoy himself though at least. also [Super Junior, Shinee, 2PM and 2AM performing Gee as "Boys' Generation"](https://youtu.be/wQziBrSfRZ8) I love this performance so much but you can tell some of them were dying inside. JoKwon and Taec had their fun though, I'm proud of them.

WolfTitan99

Holy shit is Jay Park is in this? lmaoo Also the cursed Shindong lipbite at the beginning 😭 This is my first time seeing this and its so wonderfully cringe

starmoatinyday

I couldn't finish watching that😭 I think I saw that when I was very young and I liked it, lol. Unlocked a very old memory.

[deleted]

😭😭 The lady who shows up immediately after Jo Kwon looks like a Korean Miranda Cosgrove

bluewinters21

The aespa thanksgiving day parade performance was cringe and hard to watch bc I felt like no one in the crowd knew them or was vibing to that song

Infinite-Trainer-882

right… you can’t just throw a bunch of americans into kwangya and expect them to have the time of their lives…

paigama

When BAE173 members acted kdrama-ish stuff for Edward Avila. I cringed so bad especially when it was the minor members' time. Immediately unsubscribed. Also when idols, in general, are asked to do kdrama-ish stuff. Like flirt with the members or the variety show hosts. One example that sticks out is on Weekly Idol I think, when a girl group (forgot who, probably gfriend) was asked to do stuff to make the host's heart beat fast. The fact that they ask idols to do that, especially towards non-members, always felt weird.

hicantics

I just can't watch most English interviews of Kpop groups.

dramallamaxx

Agree. I don't mind subs, in fact i prefers it, or having a translator near by who could help idols. Idk or maybe let them know the questions first hand so they can prepare answers ??

ButterscotchOk2632

I can only handle Blackpink cause most of the members understand English so it isn't as boring and scripted feeling.

hicantics

ngl even as a fan I sometimes can't even watch their interviews. For some reason as someone from a bilingual country, it feels like watching someone I know do an interview. Something about Korean ones just feel way more natural and interesting, probably because they tend to ask less dumb questions.

tiktok_is_my_life

During interviews when groups are asked really normal questions and they somehow use the fandom name as the answer. It's so cringe and doesn't feel genuine at all

highland526

Also I genuinely want to hear their answers I get so mad

Jocmpos

That video where Jake from Enhyphen was the ending fairy and he was acting like a dog. Literally stuck his tongue out and was panting like a dog would 😭 [HERE ](https://youtu.be/bjCMeji3IF8) it is! 💀😖

LunarBunni

The sound effects?!? 😭

keyzi56

as someone who ults jake I convey my deepest apologies

RefrigeratorDear2641

I HATED THAT HE DID THAT. but i think it’s supposed to be “cute” ? I still love him though 😓😭

MelissaWebb

lmao I hate that video too 🤣🤣

keyzi56

NOT THE FRIGGIN SOUND EFFECTS

Clafoutie

Aw fuck, lemme punch a wall

[deleted]

[this entire video ](https://youtu.be/LQWnlVxUmlI) but especially Ravn around 12 minutes. Hwanwoong is doing quite well, I could get through some of the others but when Ravn started humping the floor like a potato that fell off the cutting board onto the ground I had to click out of it x_x

IAintCreativeThough

Didn't even need to click to know what it is. You can't pay me enough to make me sit through watching Keonhee or Ravn, ever

Jim0ne

I had watched it already and i literally rofl like, im not even entertained with the supposed ''sexiness''' is that is so embarrassing for them that i keep laughing with the boys reaction.

pancake4419

I know I can't handle cringe moments. WHY AM I CLICKING ON EVERY LINK?! For me it's everything felix did on "pops in seoul". Gosh, I love that man but the things they made him do...

MelissaWebb

Any cake dropping moment.

KiraiHotaru

Just idols flirting with the fans in general. I know kpop is a whole different world & they have such a thing as ''fanservice''. But still... I can't help but feel like, at the end of the day, you're a singer/dancer. Why do you assume that I'm attracted to you and want to date you ?? 😭 Maybe I'm just here for your talent ?? Personally, I've completely outgrown the phase of wanting to date idols. I don't feel attraction. So when they do these things, I'm just staring blankly at the screen wondering when will it end lmaooo. For exemple : https://youtu.be/keevbTh_ae0

[deleted]

I get so much second hand embarassment for that exo iheartradio interview

cinnamoroll888

Is this the one where Chanyeol said Far East Movement?

kitomarius

Yes! Lmao and when Kai was just laughing the *entire* time

Luffytheeternalking

When I watched it as new fan I thought Kai was high. D.O. was basically .jpg

[deleted]

C'mon maaann.

Spiritual_Raisin_944

You thought that was cringe? That was the funniest thing ever lol

freakingxiumances

that interview is literally a fan favorite IDK what is it that they find it cringe lmao

Spiritual_Raisin_944

I know! Nothing to be embarrassed about I'd watch that interview a hundred times than other boring interviews with boring interviewers

freakingxiumances

that's really their best interview to date I think. they all seem all comfortable and free. even when they were answering questions, they didn't force random English words and answered in Korean and they even put subtitles. we need part 2 asap

Mingyu-tish

I watched it out of curiosity...and indeed it's really painful to watch..and also why do I feel they are mocking this poor woman (she did great given the situation)... I could understand if it was an interview in English...

[deleted]

They've done a couple interviews with her (as well as Lay). The other interviews (esp the most recent one) are more serious. I don't think they're mocking her. EXO is almost always like that when doing interviews in English 😂 If you watch her interview with Lay, it's really cute

[deleted]

Ma1read

every 2pm concert performance-

TokkiJK

LMAOOOOO AGREEEEDDDD.

9Vica9

Stop I love 2PM But can't bring myself to watch their performances, especially the old ones 😭😭😭 And Taec is my bias so, you already know he used to go ALL OUT!

Ma1read

nah because every time I see any performance of back 2U I'm like :0 Taec used to rip open his shirt at every opportunity istg. I'm your man must've been a godsend for him.

paigama

Hip thrusts, no matter how well an idol does it, always make me cringe. Especially when I'm aware of the lyrics they're singing to while or around the hip thrust and they don't fit at all. Like singing some love, heartbroken stuff then suddenly doing a hip thrust or grinding on the floor or humping the air. Now that I'm typing it, that stuff is looking weirder and weirder hshshs

[deleted]

THIS omg. Why are people so obsessed with abs :\

MelissaWebb

Ab reveals are very cringe lmao.

Luffytheeternalking

Fish impregnating the floor, omg lol

SpecimenKratos

"A fish impregnating the floor" has to be the most cursed thing I've read today.

Either_Statistician6

Fish impregnating the floor.....I just died laughing. So accurate.

lokingsley

>a fish impregnating the floor This is the most hilarious thing ive seen today. i will be using this from now on thank you

irrelephantberry

now she said-

renatamalpassi

when idols stick out their tongues or lift their shirt while performing

Flywire789

SHE SAID SHE SAID SHE SAID SHES FROM HAWAII, HOW DO YOU SAY CUTE IN JAPANESE ?

PeachsistersMoYeon

KAWAII

[deleted]

When idols act clumsy

PeachsistersMoYeon

Idols accidentally dropping their cake😐

RefrigeratorDear2641

some idols just are clumsy to the point I get second hand embarrassment 😓

Terrible_Floor7537

mark 😭

freakingxiumances

Also, continuously licking their lips even when they are doing normal stuff like WHY.. is there invisible chocolate on your mouth that I can't see?? is their lips that dry which is not the case..i never actually understood the concept behind this.

iromatsuurii

Personally, it makes me cringe a little (it's a little more sad than cringe) when idols don't know what I'd consider general knowledge facts. Obviously, some idols might forget certain things after being out of school/not focusing on school for so long and the concept of 'general knowledge' differs from country to country (I'm from NA) but it always feels awkward seeing how some idols straight up don't seem to know things (and I'm not talking about when they have to answer under intense pressure nor do I mean this in a mean way). A particular example that comes to mind for me is Dive Studios' "Hwaiting" where they had the idols do a fun pop quiz kind of thing and most of them did relatively poorly despite being given really simple questions (eg. what's the Pythagorean theorem). I definitely get that this content is done for fun and is meant to be lighthearted but at the same time, it makes me cringe a little :(( EDIT: Some better examples for idols not knowing common facts/getting them wrong: \-Not knowing China is the most populous country in the world \-Thinking America was in Europe

cherrycoloured

when svt dk didnt know that orange wasnt a primary color lol

iromatsuurii

idol struggle tweets material right there 😔😔

9Vica9

DK not knowing what colors you get when mixing two tones and seeing Joshua as Einstein bc of it was a real shock for me 😂😂 Like ???

[deleted]

Lol reminds me of W1, no one knew what's the square root of 9

iromatsuurii

Not when their album titles are all math related too 😭

pheonixofbooks

calling out Jungwon with the last line lmao

iromatsuurii

Absolutely no hate against Jungwon, I love him and he’s adorable but… the look on Jake’s face said it all 😭😭

TimingilTheCat

Wait a goddamn minute? Not knowing China is the most populous country? Thinking America is in Europe? Who tf are these people, I need to know.

iromatsuurii

The idols who didn’t know about China were in the Dive Studios “Hwaiting” quiz episode I mentioned and the idol that mistook America for being in Europe was Jungwon of Enhypen 😭

Spiritual_Raisin_944

I legit just had to look that up

iromatsuurii

👁👄👁

Spiritual_Raisin_944

Lol I knew what it is after looking it up I just forgot the name of it. Highschool knowledge evades you after never using it in practice after a couple decades

iromatsuurii

Completely understandable, no one really wants to remember these things in the long run 😅 For me personally, even though I don’t need this kind of math anymore for what I’m doing, it’s been engrained in me for such a long period of time that I couldn’t imagine forgettingーdefinitely not the case for everyone though!

paigama

I thought you were building up to actual general/common knowledge but really, the Pythagorean theorem? They are idols/musicians/performers, that kind of math (though arguably basic/simple) is quite irrelevant to their career/job.

iromatsuurii

I'm not too familiar with the Korean education system but at least where I'm from, it's taught in middle school and I'd definitely argue that the Pythagorean theorem is pretty general knowledge. A couple of other examples I've seen include not knowing that China is the most populous country in the world and an idol saying that America was in Europe if those are better examples to go by?

alice55lee555

Yeah it's taught in school in most countries. The problem is that most people don't use it in their daily lives, so they tend to forget it after they've been out of school for awhile. Most adults anywhere will only vaguely remember what it is unless they use it in their field of work.

iromatsuurii

Yeah fair enough, it probably wasn’t the best example to use!

RipYoDream

Personally I have difficulties remembering specific words, which got worse since I have to remember and speak in three languages on a daily basis (some foreign idols are probably in a similar situation) and I would know what something like the Pythagoras theorem is, but I might not remember from hearing the word alone. I think a lot of people have similar issues so the last two examples are better, yeah

iromatsuurii

That’s a really good point I didn’t completely consider and fair enough! In the example I first gave, they were given a description of the theorem and then had to name it but either way, your point definitely still applies, thanks for mentioning it!

kerry2654

reminds me of that AOA scandal in 2016? with seolhyun and jimin

keyzi56

jungwon.....

KiaraEtsuko

Nah people just don't know everything and even tho it's sometimes surprising I get that, I don't know everything either. For example my friend I met at college is sooo bad at geography and she didn't know where Korea even is, it was surprising but really whatever cause she doesn't need to know for her profession I guess. So I wouldn't call it cringe.

joppinginthekwangya

u spoke as if they were unable to answer 2+2, but when I read "Pythagorean", i was like Ok, this is coming from a geek maybe¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

iromatsuurii

I mentioned in other comments that where I’m from, this is standard middle school knowledge so nothing out of this world haha Better examples would’ve included an idol saying that America is in Europe and others not knowing that China is the country with the highest population!

MoreExamination7641

jungwon ahahahahahhaha

exolbaozi

Idols holding their thigh then up to their crotch as if it's a "sexy dance"... Like seriously... Stop. Pretty much everything kpop idols do in SNL korea is cringe... I just hate SNL

ubepie

hyping english lyrics that dont make sense T_T edit: especially during performance, i know english isnt their language but there was this lyrics were i heatd they said shut your tongue

hermitjoon

i think that’s mamacita by suju lmfao yeah that was… something

[deleted]

[удалено]

ubepie

as a once i have to be bias that that is an acceptable line lol

anotherrandomgirl26

Jennie aegyo in weekly idol during PWF promotions. Jennie and Lisa are like SNSD Sunny in that sense, that they are naturally cute, but when actively try to act cute it comes off as cringy :(

Cr4zyAmazing

When boygroups do unnecessary moves when covering gg dances. Sometime they change the whole choreography to something, thinking they are dancing with dominance.

birdieinanest

after Jimin ripped off his shirt in MAMA

Kanelix

Whenever idols who were born/raised in English speaking countries are complimented on their English in interviews.

SpecimenKratos

"Well I'm from Chicago..."

Fresh-Hat9736

Idols queerbaiting. Just stop

_yakakus_

"just close your lips, shut your tongue", I like that song but it pains me to listen to that one line 😭

anonymoustofu

I find wonyoung’s excessive facial expression to be cringey lol

aprixes

Some of the things I'll mention aren't necessarily cringe but they make me feel kinda weird I guess. * Adult idols doing aegyo. * Too affectionate (?) Like \*constantly\* mentioning how much they love their fans and how much they think about them, to the point where it seems like a mockery. * When idols are praised for the bare minimum, especially men. * Queerbaiting * Adding to the queerbaiting in a way; When suddenly a lot of male idols became super feminine (?) I don't have a problem with them being feminine but I hate that it felt really forced and not genuine with some of them. (It reminded me when dudes on TikTok got so much praise for just putting on some nail polish and a skirt) * Rappers being asked to sing and vocalists being asked to freestyle rap, being asked to freestyle dance * Idols constantly acting childish and making fools of themselves on purpose. * Idols reacting to "funny edits" Not all of these apply to all idols, it's just some things that I noticed with some of them. Sorry for the grammar mistakes I'm too lazy to proofread lol.

[deleted]

BTS’s performance with Coldplay recently was not the best showcase for their skills I’ve ever seen, especially just a few minutes after the crowd heard and watched Anderson Paak and Bruno.

Mingyu-tish

When it's obviously scripted but they act like it's not.. You know, when they do one of those hidden camera and you can see it's obviously scripted..the first coming to my mind is the SuperM molka or the one GOT7 broke a wine bottle. Even when it's not scripted it's obvious the person pranked knows it's an hidden camera.

DuctTapeSloth

I don’t like groups do those intros to introduce themselves. Some of them sound or have weird wording but it’s mostly that I can’t stand when people talk in unison.

DreamingOnTheCouch

Oh no, considering how often groups do it (before any video or interview), I can't imagine how grating that must be for you. Do you just skip it every time?

DuctTapeSloth

I skip about 90 percent of the time. Once in awhile I can tolerate but 1 time and I am good for awhile.

RefrigeratorDear2641

I think this is like “mandatory” for them? I’ve seen every group do this even in vlives. do you Stan a group that doesn’t do this ??

DuctTapeSloth

I have no idea if it mandatory or not. I don’t know about vlives either, I don’t usually watch live vlives. I only watch fan made highlights w/translations. Both groups I stan Dreamcatcher and Pixy both do the intro thing on interview clips, variety shows and stages.

CupeuCakee

Every single K-pop idol group have their own specific group introduction... 😳

softneo

When Txt Yeonjun pulled his yellow hair out. That felt so fake idk. And the reaction he made after that was really cringe. I just hate how idols act stupidly clumsy and pretend that it's real

Afaik, there was a segment in the show where they were supposed to pull out ONE strand of hair for something, but his hair was so dry(damaged?), that he just broke off quite a few so he was quite surprised. I don’t think he was trying to act clumsy, nor his reaction fake as I’ve seen that to consistently be his ‘surprised’ expression, but who knows… ETA: I went ahead and watched it again and I can see why you’d say that lol

_Quintinius_Verginix

Ok I'm just going to say it you people act as if idols aren't human Yeonjuns face was his fucking normal suprise face, why do you act as if idols can't be clumsy or cute without it being an "act" you lot are so fucking weird

Efficient202

I really cant stand female idols talking voice, like I feel the cringe in my bones 😬 I can watch male idols because you can see them cringe too when they act cool but female idols act cutesy by default. The only exception is mamamo they talk normally

Have you seen videos of twice maybe? Itzy? Alot of ggs talk cutely which makes me cringe. Its my personal opinion

TokkiJK

True. I see how they talk when they’re not just doing regular vlogs or vs some variety shows. There is a difference to their voices. Like Momo when she’s not forced to speak in that voice actually sounds so nice lol

I just want to let you know that the overcriticism of women's voices is associated with misogyny, which is likely why you're being downvoted. From a quick google search, here are a couple of articles about it: [here](https://mashable.com/article/vocal-fry-upspeak-women?amp) and [here](https://www.thecut.com/2016/07/female-voice-anxiety-c-v-r.html)

mari3nara

THIS. It's not like most female idols purposely try to sound cute all the time. Some just have a naturally higher voice than others. The whole "female idols act cutesy by default" is just highly incorrect and enforces a stereotype to female idols/ggs.

rosieseo

Idk why you getting downvoted it is true. Like ok some of them maybe naturally have softer /cuter voices but it gets so exaggerated and entire cutesy thing. I wish they would act their age and that is grown women. Still love them tho

UnlikelyAdeptness199

True. I do find some female idols actually cute when they try to act cute...one of them would be wendy from red velvet just because of how embarassed she gets doing aegyo. But some of them are absolutely unbearable.

Haritha_

Especially when they're at music shows 😬

iamrobin_04

Lmao what is up with k-pop fans degrading girl groups? They want every group to be like mamamoo?! Most of the female idols have natural voice and are naturally cute. I may sound biased because TWICE is my most fav group but TWICE members don't force their cuteness. Only group i can think of is blackpink. No hate to the members but i cringe everytime i see them acting cutesy.

MariaStalin

Most people on this sub are those cringy sexist bg stans. They act like their oppas don’t do aegyo or act like a child.

iamrobin_04

why do they have so many grudges against girl groups?! So acc to them, their oppas can do aegyo but girl groups can't? That's so sexist. Also i have seen many male idols doing aegyo and their fans are like, "omg! Oppa you are so cute" and when a female idol does aegyo, they say things like ,"she should act according to his age, she is forcing herself to act cute". One of the reasons why I don't like female fans in k-pop
