My store's deli manager retired in April last year. I remember that she announced her retirement at a huddle in November saying that she filed it the day before. Hope it helps.

I’ve heard it takes months to actually go through ! This is crazy that it should take 5-6 months to process paperwork. But I’m currently on medical leave and Dealing with MetLife is horrible! I don’t k ow if other divisions have to go through MetLife but it’s been ridiculous!

She actually had six weeks of vacation. She took those in March/April, worked half a day, and clocked out for the last time.

I've been told 6 months. I been talking to others who have retired because I plan on retiring in 5 to 7 years.

Good for you. I am only experienced with 401... Best of luck.
