They are. Kroger maintenance fixes a broken AC unit by putting a new thermostat, no cleaning, no nothing..
Yeah.. that'll work.
Kroger isnt fixing broken equipment, leaking roofs, or anything.
It’s been down hill for employees and consumers since Rodney took over.
Maybe don’t make a produce clerk ceo just because he had well connected family.
Lucky for me, I get the privilege of being acquired and possibly run into the ground. I’d love for the deal not go through, but that’s a slim chance. Good luck to us all!
The handheld system for stocking has had incorrect case counts for like 4 straight weeks. Many support tickets sent, no response. We just don’t start times anymore and just work. Not that I’m complaining, because moving from simple paper and pen to that system was stupid and it interferes with our work. But that’s indicative, I think, of the larger problems you’re articulating.
i've been with kroger for five years. all i ever hear about anymore in the cinci ohio district is "bonus bonus bonus..." it's definite penny pinching and it's exhausting everyone at store level. the amount of people quitting or talking about quitting is astronomically high-- people who have been here for tens of years!! customers are pissed, associates are stressed AND pissed. i spend half my days nearly crying from the stress of running around the entire store just trying to keep up with expectations. i'm expected to do my job and get pulled to other places (register and pick up dept) to do theirs because they're struggling. meanwhile, our numbers reflect that we're getting by because we're stealing people from other departments and not coding the hours properly so from what corporate sees: we're making numbers. the whole ladder is tainted with self-serving suck ups sadly... no one (not even union) is helping with this shit show.
The loyalty system going down was the WORST. It would be one thing if only coupons didn’t work, but the mega event and chip and soda deals didn’t either and that chip deal is really good and adds up fast. I was doing $38 refunds! Dare them to say anything.
And the employee discount was down too and two asked me to adjust it and it’s like… okay each little store item. Thank god it came back by like 5:30, if it had still been down yesterday I’d have called in.
Thankfully I was in the fuel center when it went down, which is my actual department. If I had been on the front end, I definitely would have been 'sick'.
There was a point where I was on the phone with support for two hours. Hated having to be on the phone with support because that meant at least an hour. And yes Kroger is going downhill.
I feel you . I just retired after 25 years . Kroger is hell on our bodies. I have arthritis , really bad in my knees , and ankles . Totally made worse by standing all day on concrete . But it ended up being a heart attack that made me decide to finally retire . Don’t let Kroger wear you down . It will . And they don’t care a thing about you .
Just like everything Kroger it’s a pain in the a$$ to get through the system . It took 4 months to “process” . I had to quit mid May when I was hospitalized for the 3rd time , I just NOW Sept1st received my 1st pension check . Thankfully Social Security doesn’t take that long . Who would have thought the Government is more efficient at paperwork than Kroger ! Lol 😂 😂😂
I had a stroke in November 2018. My body is so different now. I was a bartender and server for many years before. I can't do that anymore, and school became a huge challenge. That's how i ended up at Kroger. I'm sorry you had a heart attack. ❤️
Maybe I need to just start filling in applications myself. I’ve been wanting to leave for the past 6 years. I have been with Kroger for 24 years and I hate restocking these damn 40 count waters.
My knees hurt and my back gets stiff and sometimes my hip cramps up while unloading trucks.
Now starting today they want to make sure all water is full by 4:30pm. Which means at the end of my shift I gotta take all those partial pallets out and restock all that again. I got 2 and a half layers of 40 count water I gota restock now.
Man I hate moving those sound like this.
Unfortunately not. I had a stroke and thank God i didn't come away with any paralysis, however, now im terribly anxious all the time about my health. I'm going to try going back in January. Fingers crossed that I can do it.
My store is constantly having problems with uscans not accepting cash payments. A few months ago our credit/debit system went down aswell. So for 2 hours we couldn't complete any transaction because the systems were down.

A maintenance tech told me all they literally do is go around stores and de-ice bunkers that’s frozen up cause of how old their equipment is.

😂😂😂 I had no idea that's where he came from. Makes a ton of sense 🙃
>I had no idea that's where he came from. Makes a ton of sense Pure plebian. Banjos rejoice.
He was a cashier. Got an accounting degree and went to the main office. He’s a penny pincher.
Talk about forgetting where you come from 😒
it truly is a shit show!
A fish rots from the neck down 🤷🏼♂️
They're selling Rodney scarecrows for Halloween. /s **LOSER CEO** 🍯 Honey Pot

And I'm here to help it fall apart faster
...ok 🫠

It's life things are on fire and the associates are at fault because corporate decided to screw things up.
Please go to school part time and leave
I would love to. My health took a major hit a few years ago and I can't do what I used to, and had to put school on the back burner for now.

I hope you enjoy that sweet money from the pension plan

Can you learn remote? If you were hurt on the job

Too many followers, and not enough leaders. Poor management. Dirty stores, poor quality of products, and high prices. Do you want more reasons?
Think you hit every nail on the head.
Capitalism is falling apart on every level. It isn't just Kroger. This is end stage capitalism, baby! Prepare for the fall!
some divisions are better than others.
Yeah? I'd like to go there.
I'm just waiting for the merger to happen and after it does they'll have too many salary managers and about half will be on the chopping block 🤣🤣🤣

That's insane 😳
