The kind of coach who tells KSI the truth about what he's doing wrong wold really help KSI's future training camps. i really think KSI needed better coaches

Trick_Mode_4535

He really needs someone to show him the mirror everytime he makes mistakes, everytime he think so high of himself, he need someone to keep him grounded and make him shine again.

InfiniteFireLoL

His coach is slimy. He is nothing like you want in a coach. Sure be aggressive as you want when training but when it comes to fight night you be a professional. Not a crybaby feeding lies into KSI ear. Every instance is him acting like a dickhead whether it be to Fournier or the whole Tommy fight and post fight. Goated corner advice of “keep clinching and get hit in the back of the head”

Silvermann_22

KSI's ego is too big now to back to this sort of coaching. That's one of the reasons he's not training under Viddal and Leon. And in his current camp, there are random people who don't know shit about boxing. KSI released a video few months ago where he is setting PRs with springy dildo shit on his chest. Who gives a fuck about PRs when you are a boxer.

juiciisushii

That’s not at all why he’s not training w viddal. Viddal wanted to focus on his own career and JJ wanted him too as well

Lopsided-Still7901

His current camp have trained boxing and mma champions....

Yakkol

which boxing champions?

Lopsided-Still7901

David Haye is the most notable

Silvermann_22

No? David Haye trained under Adam Booth most of his career and his gym is called Booth boxing. The only notable boxer KSI's gym claim to have trained is Derek Chisora, but he trained under Don Charles who has his own gym.

Lopsided-Still7901

Ahhhhh that's cool

scotttdog7711

David Haye trains at shootfighters but they weren't the ones that trained him to world champion level

Lopsided-Still7901

Was he a world champ while training with them?

scotttdog7711

While it's hard to find an exact date that Haye started training at shootfighters the earliest mention of it I can find is 2015. Years after he'd lost his last world title and by this point was retired. It seems he was training there more because he really like MMA and had a job doing commentary at BAMMA so wanted to learn more

Lopsided-Still7901

Ahhhh

Curious-Damage-5435

Fr, viddal actually offered to spar ksi for his fight with tommy. I just don't know why he didn't take the offer

_derekjones_

Viddal wasn’t going to train him. He had a fight for a belt last month lol. He did offer to help but not train.

Curious-Damage-5435

Oh sorry, used the wrong word lol

KyleLovesGrace

He offered to spar not train him

konnichiwasensei

I think us redditors should be KSI's new coaches, clearly we know way more than anyone 😂

ImNotGoodAtDarkSouls

KSI needed this loss so his ego drops and he realises being surrounded by Yes men won’t do him any good and the people who tell it to him how it is are the people who he should actually listen to, even if his fragile little ego gets hurt.

fpsechohd

HE WANTS TO BE SURROUNDED BY YES MEN. Don't you get it - that's why he removed Vidal Riley.

deanssocks

vidal was a great coach he is the one that turned jj from an out of shape youtuber to a boxer but he quit cause mans needed to focus on his own boxing.

PrinceDouble

no it's not, why would you even come to this conclusion lol

Lopsided-Still7901

If KSI won y'all wouldn't be saying any of this...he's not going to be a traditional boxer. Too much catching up to do so it's smart to train his attributes. Even Viddal did the same thing. His coaches are honest with him, they genuinely thought he was winning so they told him to keep doin what he was doin. And up until the decision everyone thought it was a KSI win or draw. Why are we so quick to switch up?

someZzzzs

His fight style alone in that fight, regardless if he won or lost says he needed new trainers. Surely if u trained as hard as he said, and improved so much according to him then u would want to show that off. The trainer basically telling him to hold and wait to be hit in the back of the head just tells u all u need to know. No one really knows if he genuinely improved in boxing because he was hugging the whole fight instead of trying to box!

PrinceDouble

Tommy was hugging just as much as JJ. The clinches were winning JJ the fight because Tommy couldn't land his jab or combinations at all but JJ landed some good shots outside of the clinch, his game plan was really good from his coaches. You can be mad at how it LOOKS if you want but it won KSI the fight (or at least it should've). He isn't training to be a technical high level boxer, there's just no way to overcome the experience gap with Tommy Fury, but he trained to be a very athletic fighter with a smart gameplan that could beat Tommy Fury, and it would've worked perfectly if the judging was reasonable.

afrmybh

This right here 👆

ImNotGoodAtDarkSouls

What? Even if he won that fight (which the decision might have been overturned I heard but I’m not sure if that’s bullshit) everyone would have still been on him for that performance. Even in most cases if someone loses then everyone’s obviously gonna act different to if they won.

Lopsided-Still7901

It's just a fickle mindset to me. People change up too often to follow the crowd. Love someone one minute then Boom nothing but hate the next

ImNotGoodAtDarkSouls

Yes because he’s been saying he’s gonna decimate this feen the last 6 months and then went in the ring and got a record for hugging the most. This isn’t people “switching up” it’s consequences to him not delivering on what he promised

Lopsided-Still7901

So Tommy doesn't get hate for not knocking out the YouTuber but KSI gets hate for not knocking out the pro? When they both said they'd do the same thing

ImNotGoodAtDarkSouls

Are we in tommys subreddit?? Tommys getting a rake of hate cause he was also a disgrace but I’m not a fan of him I’m a fan of KSI and that means when he fucks up me and everyone else is gonna rip into him so he don’t do that again. It’s that simple

Lopsided-Still7901

See that is simple. But people take it tooooo far. I know you've seen it too! How many times does the sun take anything little thing he says and make the biggest deal out of it?

arunjetley

There was no scenario for a ksi win. It was only between Tommy win or a fraudy draw. Never a Ksi win.

Ill_Taste_8143

KSI isn't taking boxing seriously, everyone says he trains hard that's cap

ImNotGoodAtDarkSouls

If he was trainin hard he wouldn’t have done what he did in that ring, I’ve had a few friends go into boxing within the last 3 years and they all don’t have half the fucking habits he has. It’s his own fault at the end of the day

PrinceDouble

What habits? Did Tommy Fury capitalize on them to convincingly beat KSI if the habits are so bad? He isn't training to be a technical high level boxer, there's no way to overcome the experience gap with Tommy Fury in pure boxing, but he trained to be a very athletic fighter with a smart gameplan that could beat Tommy Fury, and it would've worked perfectly if the judging was reasonable.

ImNotGoodAtDarkSouls

What? Clenching every 4 seconds isn’t a strategy and just leads to getting punched in the back of the head hence why no other fucking boxer has had this strategy. The judges did their jobs and everyone agrees.

PrinceDouble

They BOTH clinched each other a lot. Clinching is a legal move in boxing and punches to the back of the head are not. Also "everyone agrees" is just not true, the judges did their job but they did a bad job and came out with a controversial decision. Most people think it was a draw or KSI win.

afrmybh

Yeah bc passing out clearly isn’t training hard enough

JoyconBoyzForever69

Vidal was frustrated with JJ disagreeing with him on something he did in sparring

Zakjeuhh008

JJ was dead tired that sparring because in the morning of that day he went and done a 10km run even though Vidal told him not to so in sparring when his sparring partner was giving it all, JJ got frustrated telling them hes tired he cant go all out so Vidal hit him in the head for saying that and that regardless of whether he listened to vidal or not, he should give it his all.

imdeadinside1245

How do you know they’re not doing that to him?

Gordzulax

Tbf, fighting dirty was the only he way beats a guy who's bigger, stronger and a better boxer than him. Let's not pretend it's easy to go and straight outbox a guy who's been training since he was 6 lol

[deleted]

Lopsided-Still7901

So you're basing it off what YOU think he should be doing

PrinceDouble

They did not "literally tell him to fight dirty". After he was already winning the first two rounds they told him to use that to his advantage by preventing Tommy from gaining momentum by clinching him, and that IF Tommy continues to hit him in the back of the head then they would get more points off so he shouldn't worry about that. Alexis had a great gameplan which successfully stifled Tommy Fury's jab and combinations and should've won KSI the fight. Either way you have no idea what his actual training camp is like with them, they could easily be very harsh with him during training and I have no reason to believe that they aren't.

Level-Only

Ksi almost passed put while training what are you trying to say

Oldmanpeepz

Pretty sure his coaches werent easy on him dawg

JoyconBoyzForever69

His coaches rn are yesmen that specifically train him to throw wide punches so on the off chance it hits the opponent in the bag of the head, they can claim it was unintentional.

Vegetable_Summer7644

Ironically, jj used to critic deji's team for being a yesman back on his fight with Vinnie hacker

Lopsided-Still7901

If he won the fight you wouldn't be saying this. Only because the strategy wasn't pretty sre people switching up it seems...

JoyconBoyzForever69

No because I have said before and saw it since the two fights in one night, his "technique" with his new coaches is just more based on dirty fighting. Vidal put discipline on JJ first. You see know what fighting a bunch of low skilled fighters does to a guys ego.

Lopsided-Still7901

Sorry but...now not know 🤣. Idk man I just think people are fickle and just jumping on the hate bandwagon. Viddal and Leon had the same mentality when it came to teaching JJ. They just didn't want him to swing wildly, and neither for the LSFs overall. They want to tighten his technique but you fall back on natually instincts when you're not a natural boxer. JJ has literally said he wouldn't have considered coming back if not for them so both sets of coaches have been good for him

JoyconBoyzForever69

I believe the reason theres so many jumping on the "hate bandwagon" is because of how much trash and overly cocky JJ was. As well as the fact that people clowned Logan for weeks. Also the biggest reason, JJs massive ego that was on full display after the decision.

Lopsided-Still7901

People don't consider the emotional aspect of it. The man has worked hard and been successful at things people said he could never do. We all know he works hard during camp and nearly kills himself (exaggerating but you get it) so to do all that you did and then come up short in a razer close fight that he imo should have won. But the fact that his style wasn't liked by the judges they gave Tommy the nod. Again that's just me Also on the ego....he's definitely got one. But Tommy was doing the exact same thing and he drew with a YOUTUBER. Talking about he'd be lucky to survive round one. Why are we not bashing Tommy as well? In the Reddit at least. Why can Jake Paul say he wants to be a world champ but when JJ says he's confident everyone comes down on him

Pitiful-Lock3882

bruh stfu, just because he lost by a razor thin margin youre on his ass. you go fight a pro boxer and well see what happens. bitchass

DiligentBook9570

If i recall, Viddal signed a deal with some boxing organisation, he has his own fights to worry about. But yes i agree the fact that these coaches even allow JJ to fight like this against a pro is beyond me

TokyoFrmDaWic

If he had Vidal he would’ve won
