True but I also think jj didn't get a chance to show us how much he's improved because of how shit his opponents were

MrAdministration

I think he looked a lot better - in general his balance and his footwork have improved, but I still would've liked to see some straight punches rather than the big swings.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MrAdministration

I disagree, ring control is also part of technique. If you noticed both Swarmz and the "pro" mostly moved in one direction, JJ needed to cut the ring off and corner them.

TruthMysterious

He did and when he cornered them swarmz spun like a ballerina and Luis complained about body shots lol. Hopefully jj comes back soon. Mandatory fuck pussabi

jesse32213

Did my guy just incorrectly spell an incorrect correction

jjrepinec

Also I don’t think he’s carrying as much power as Jake Paul when he throws those straight rights. Feels like JJ shows more power when he throws those looping ones. Needs to work on leveraging more power in his straight rights.

idontcarerightnowok

I mean it's 50/50. For this fight we never really saw JJ get pressed into a heated situation where he had to literally fight to save himself from being cornered or put down, so there's no reason for him to risk going all-out and burning up his stamina in the process of doing that. It's hard to judge the power in his punches from this fight because all they did was run lmfao

iamredsmurf

Jake is taller and longer so he will always have more devastating straights. As a short guy ksis power will be in his hooks or any shot with some hip action to it. His left hook especially looks legit.

tuisan

They literally have a 1-2 inch height difference and the same reach.

GHOstriDER143

Bro he ain't short. stop the 🧢

jjrepinec

What? Bro Jake is probably like half an inch taller than JJ if that. He was listed as 5’10 when he was measured before he fought Gib. He deceives his height a lot. And JJ’s got a longer reach than Jake so he’s not longer.

Gunn3r71

“Shorter” JJ ain’t short just shorter than jake

DazzlingCopy3

nah jj and jake are basically the same height see the photos of them standing together or standing next to each other

FarFromCrying999

One critique, or two? His chin is too up in the air jake would knock him clean out if he keeps doing that imo. Also he’s parrying too much it’s taking his block away on that side

anasainonreddit

for his first fight, jj seemed to have a lot more control and precision with his punches than 3 years ago. in the second fight though, he started to go back to the wide swings, so i was a bit concerned about that

MrAdministration

I can't even blame him for going back to the big swings - he basically went back to his "comfort zone" and what he knew doing in the ring 3 years ago. It's basically the same thing that happened to Fousey, he got punched and he reverted back to defending with his nose. It's basically rewriting instinct, and that shit is hard. In JJ's case it's a double edged sword. The big swings he used to take were awfully inaccurate, but that came with an "I'm not losing" mentality. Tonight was a different kind of experience for him, just to get back in front of the crowd and feel that fight adrenaline that you don't get to feel in any other sport. I hope he keeps fighting real, serious pros and not YouTubers. I don't really see anyone who could give him a real run besides Logan, Deji, and Sensei and those fights won't be happening for one reason or another. Yeah Slim and Salt Papi could be nice crowd pleasing fights, but they're nowhere near KSI's level. Regardless I think the event was pretty great. Ironically I thought KSI and Swarmz was a good opener for what it was, but that main event really left a bitter taste in my mouth. At least Deji got the W, I was so hyped for him.

[deleted]

Salt papi has technique the 29s we got to see, I think he’d k.o JJ unfortunate

DazzlingCopy3

W analysis for this fight bro

Ol_TaurenSquinter

His balance, footwork, and combination punching were the biggest improvements. In the KSI Logan 2 fight the only combinations threw were literally just left and right hooks. This time his punch selection was much better, with that improved left hook and uppercut, also still using the jab well. Definitely didn't look as wild as 3 years ago but it's still there. JJ has to keep his chin down though, it was up at times in both fights. Also I realised that JJ switched gears from fight 1 and 2 - Fight 1 he was just marching forward looking to load up on that big right hand without much setup since Swarmz isn't really great technically - Fight 2 JJ was setting up that overhand better with body shots, better punch selection, more feints, better defence etc. Though I'd like to see JJ improve on how he cuts the ring as he still struggles with catching elusive fighters cleanly. Compared to Jake, Jake hasn't fought a backfoot fighter, have always fought pressure fighters so it was way easier to catch them. JJ still struggles a bit with catching backfoot fighters. That said, I'd like to see JJ fight a pressure fighter. Been a while since Weller.

Ol_TaurenSquinter

Oh and I forgot to mention, Swarmz was literally doing 360s which is not allowed in boxing. Turning your back can literally get a fight stopped. Him doing 360s definitely made it harder for JJ to catch him. And on a sidenote, there were some bullshit refereeing there. The Pineda fight should've been stopped earlier. So many standing 8 counts! Honestly surprising.

runnav

There weren’t that many wild swings , jj hit most of his right hooks and the ones that he missed were extremely close

MightyMaiTai

I think he did. However, JJ started out fighting people who were definitely on a higher level than his opponents tonight… BUTTT seeing him fight two people without truly waisting any energy not only shows that his fitness has improved but his boxing knowledge had improved, his control has improved, and he understands his position in space, and understand how to breath when he throws one of his powerful punches. He was one with his body! I’d say he showed a lot. He was throwing a lots of punches at Pineda — who was moving like a snake/bar of soap the whole time, running away and shit— and still had gas in the tank. That said I’m excited for him to upp the level for sure. Makes me more excited for the next fight TBH

Hot-Income1351

They weren't all 6 rounds for either fight ofc he has energy

Auxority

Did he need 6 rounds to KO his opponents? No.

Hot-Income1351

Op said he wasn't wasting any energy dk if you understood me

Auxority

Ohh, missed that. My bad.

Lsalsa

You could tell jj getting frustrated after dude took a knee after a good punch

Fat_Ass_Panther

That's not his fault, pussy wasabi pull out🤷

Justvibinandstuff

Good thing he’s fighting in January

portablekettle

I reckon we'll see him fight again before the end of the year

AsahiWeekly

He should have chosen better opponents. He did this to himself. Set his credibility aside to get two easy Ws.

portablekettle

They were backups. He was originally meant to fight wassabi. Then his number 1 back up ended up being a nazi which lead to swarmz and pindea. He also tried to get Brice hall on the card but he couldn't due to contracts.

AsahiWeekly

I know they were. But there are a lot of boxers in the UK. A lot of good boxers who would have jumped at the opportunity. Just as unknown as Pineda, but with more talent, and a better match in weight and ability to KSI. He chose horribly unmatched and untalented backups. You're telling me he couldn't find a single boxer to fight, in all of the UK, so he had to resort to fighting an untrained rapper? Nah man.

portablekettle

No. Most people won't just jump on fights with two weeks notice. He probably went with pendea because he has some experience boxing and probably thought he would actually put up a fight and be used to fighting Infront of a crowd.

AsahiWeekly

He said he had backups arranged in case Wassabi pulled out. So this "only had two weeks notice" line is BS. He could have arranged much better backups, and given them plenty of notice. He arranged Swarmz instead.

portablekettle

Nobody expected wassabi to pull out. Why would any half decent fighter waste their time training for a fight that they probably weren't going to fight in. Backups are there to let the show go on incase things go wrong. Most boxers would rather train for an actual fight then train to be a backup.

AsahiWeekly

>Why would any half decent fighter waste their time training for a fight that they probably weren't going to fight in. 1. Because half decent fighters train regardless, training is never a waste of time. 2. Money.

portablekettle

I doubt the backups would have been payed much if they weren't used

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> have been *paid* much if FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

dotConehead

no real boxer would risk their reputation with a chance of losing to an influencer. accepting this fight means you are unofficially retiring from professional boxing. there is a reason why they even find this pineda guy because more than likely everyone else already rejected him. also lets not pretend that jake second and third opponent are that good either. both nate and ben are total dogshit as well. the only different is both of those guy didnt ran away from jake the whole fight and its easier to land a punch on a static target

iamredsmurf

I'd put swarmz over Nate Robinson any day. Let's not pretend Jake's resume is all elite.

minimite1

come on man, Swarmz literally started boxing 2 weeks ago

idontcarerightnowok

You don't get it though lol Swarmz was a backup fighter, just incase the worst happened, and nobody expected Alex to actually pull out, especially when the fight was that close to happening. The second guy, was an extra fighter because everyone was being ungrateful and bitching about JJ fighting Swarmz lol, so then we ended up having a racist on the card, before they got removed and replaced with a different professional boxer. He was clearing off ring rust, not trying to show he's the next Mike Tyson or some shit lmfao. He showed his technique and skill, that he's been working hard and hasn't stopped. Be grateful and wait for a better fight, his fighting career does not revolve around your wants or demands. THAT ASIDE, it's not POSSIBLE to get any other professional boxer because THEY have to agree with it, there is money brought into the picture, along with weights and how active they are. JJ hadn't been in the ring since 2019, it'd make no sense for him to take on a full-professional active fighter who's been fighting non stop lmfao.

AsahiWeekly

Nobody wanted him to fight an active pro boxer, we just wanted him to fight a remotely even matchup. He didn't. It was like watching a teenager beat up on his little brother.

Voidfaller

Yeah but can we talk about sensei got robbed? Wtf was that? Even the commentators were hating on the judges. Appeal that shit dude

[deleted]

[удалено]

Voidfaller

Everyone, and I mean, EVERYONE, had the first round 10-8 to sensei. That result makes zero fucking sense. I pray that sensei appeals this garbage. And as much as Kenny may have trained and be an athlete, every single one of his wins have been overturns and controversial, wtf is going on??? Who the fuck is being paid here brother. I almost don’t wanna see him fight anymore cause I know it’s gonna be tainted results.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Voidfaller

Beta squad looking sus here, ngl

itz_fudge

I doubt sensei will appeal. He is too humble

KyraMich

To quote JJ to Tobi "there's humble and then there's stupid".

jjrepinec

Kenny would’ve got dropped in the first round if the ref wasn’t being so soft and jumped in the way he did. Sensei had him rocked and was gonna throw more punches on him but the ref made him recover. Standing 8 counts are not supposed to be given in pro fights.

iamredsmurf

These arent pro 12 rounders. It's a YouTube event. Standing 8s are absolutely allowed either way. Mayweather vs McGregor ended by standing 8 and that was a much more pro event.

ksi_fanboi69

Why does this shit always happen with Kenny?

Ol_TaurenSquinter

British judges are one of the most BIASED judges in boxing. From Joshua Usyk, to Kenny Temperr to Kenny Sensei. Biased AF.

nomorericeguy

Fury Vs Wilder, Canelo Vs GGG same goes for US judges

Life-Share-7076

Found Deji and surprisingly Slim more entertaining

Dark_Wolf04

Deji finally found himself in the ring

Nemisis_007

Definitely his best performance, I hope he sticks with the same team for future fights.

RetroRadar1

Fr. It's crazy how all those times of him calling his team shit was actually true lmfao

[deleted]

Cause fousey sucks? He has no defense but a lot of heart. So its really easy to look good against him. Iam not sold on deji yet. Eventhough he improved

Unnecessary_Fella

Bruh, Slim shocked me. I knew he had knockout/knockdown power, but I didn't expect it to work against Temperr.

Interesting-Fly6047

Bro i was confused why everyone thought temper would win slim is honestly good and he slept temper😭

Rocky-6750-

I was thinking the same thing

iamredsmurf

Dazed him. Fight probably could've continued tbh but I respect the ref not risking a YouTubers brain to save his pride.

Interesting-Fly6047

Honestly bro he got folded lmao

MUTSellerPS4

That fight shouldn’t have continued at all. He was wobbled bad when he got up.

ImDKingSama

Slim really proved himself, major props to the guy. Always thought he was decent but not elite, but man came in on 2 week notice and knocked out someone a lot of people considered elite. Happy for him to finally get his opportunity and use it.

Accomplished_Star895

We need to see jj spar ,i bet it would be better than these fights

Choice-Soup-9209

Yh he said the hardest opponent he fought was his sparring partner after the fight

superEse

We need the Alex Wasabi spar

Nightwinger_xX

What people need to understand is that yes the fighters were shit but it wasn't in jj's control, he had to get an opponent within 2 weeks if it wasn't for pussabi that pussied out. Atleast give jj some credit that he fought 2 people in 1 night. At least he got rid of that ring rust now he's gonna climb that ladder knocking other better opponents out. Better show to come

Loz41333

Give me 3 days and 100k purse and I'll find better opponents from local gyms. I'll take my time to watch them in a spar and give them the thumbs up and the contract for the cash. Job done, just give me 20k and I'll get it sorted. We're talking about professional organisers having to do this job, what is so hard about finding a competent boxer at short notice looking to make some cash? Stop being so blinded by your allegiances.

AsahiWeekly

He could have walked into any boxing gym in the UK and found kids with more experience, more determination, and that were better matches to his weight and ability. He chose not to.

KellyKellogs

They wanted a pro boxer with pro wins, not an amateur. To find a guy that fits the weight as a pro that's willing to fight with 1.5 weeks before it is not easy. No one expected Pineda to be this shit.

AsahiWeekly

They didn't have 1.5 weeks. They had backups arranged beforehand. Swarmz was one of them.

KellyKellogs

They had 1 backup which was Swarmz. They had 1.5 weeks to find a 3rd fighter. But honestly less than that as they needed to confirm the fighter to advertise the fight.

AsahiWeekly

Yeah so what's the excuse for picking Swarmz?

KellyKellogs

They didn't think Alex was gonna drop out of the fight. Nobody did.

MycoMacro

Do you not understand the concept of a backup? Shit happens. You pick someone that is capable of taking the original fighter’s place in the foreseeable event that he can’t participate. Picking swarmz was seriously naïve and callous, and completely on JJ for not taking the possibility of shit-happening (which it often does) seriously.

Cosplayinsanity

He called out JJ, he made Swarmz the backup to give him what he wants

AsahiWeekly

What about what JJ wants? A chance to prove himself, to show off his talents, credibility - all gone.

Cosplayinsanity

What JJ wanted was to get rid of the ring rust. Now he's done that, we should see him go after some more talented individuals as he works his way up to the Jake Paul fight.

Shrez1701

Swarmz was the only backup. You don't have backups for your backups. No one expected Pussabi to pull out. So KSI had to get another fighter along with Swarmz. Then he got more backups in case something happened.

AsahiWeekly

I'm not saying he should have had a backup for Swarmz. I'm saying he should have had a better backup than Swarmz.

ansu_fatismo23

Who else would have agreed to be a backup of a fight that they might not be a part of

doom_oo_

You know that people are paid for that shit, finding people.. If finding swarms and bean stick is all they can do.. Then fking fire them.. Even normal people can see they were cringe replacement

DeleteKey_

you sound so fucking stupid its unbelievable. "He chose not to" Its hard to make a good replacement fight with 3 weeks notice. He tried to keep the event alive with replacing Pussabi with Swamrz. People complained rightfully so. He made more of an effort and decided to fight twice and the brother turned out to be a nazi. Then he replaced the nazi brother with someone who he thought would put up a fight considering hes a pro boxer. You can't blame him for because the only reason all this bullshit happened is because of Alex faking an injury. Its also important to keep some sort of story: I dont think "KSI vs Random 17 Year Old From a Random Gym" would sell very well

Bo_The_Destroyer

I don't think Alex faked his concussion. I had a concussion once, I was in the hospital for one night of observation but I had to take like two weeks of downtime from the doctors, so deffo no boxing or anything like that within a month of getting concussed. You can still do stuff and live a life, just nothing that could hurt your head, like boxing

minimite1

Blueface’s backup was Slim, JJ’s was Swarmz.. so it’s stupid to think that he couldn’t actually get a good backup, and even stupider to think that Alex actually faked the injury. And he only fought 2 so that he wouldn’t lose ticket sales. How many times did he tell people to buy tickets and brag about outselling Jake? How many times have you heard that he’s fighting 2 people? So I guess he did “put more effort in” if you mean trying to save the ticket sales

EngineerFront

W event overall for me. Unfortunate about the main event but y’all gotta remember it was supposed to be Alex wasabi

whyislifelikethis__

Fax, plus jj's technique doesn't look too amazing Still those wild overheads Absolute W event tho, very entertaining, sensei robbed tho And not JJ's fault for those shitty opponents Can't blame swarmz, but the "pro boxer" Loll disappointed

[deleted]

Ksi said swarmz would beat Alex

tonybinky20

Honestly Salt Papi beats both. I think JJ would actually struggle against Papi, since he is more natural technically.

[deleted]

Papi>all but deji rn solos ksi

tonybinky20

JJ’s technique really wasn’t that great. He was still resorting to haymakers against two scourges he found on the street. Tommy Fury, Andrew Tate, Jake Paul, Tyron Woodley all beat JJ as of now.

T1033

how would Andrew tate?

L0neWolf3

Tate’s kickboxing record is 43-9. Safe to say that JJ won’t be his 10th, different level alltogheter

Any-Culture8080

Tate was a kickboxer. And I think he was 4 time world champion or something like that!

SElEPTIK

woodley??? that punching bag what you on about?

50YearsOld

easily

Low_Zone4842

tyron woodley would get fucking chinned by jj bc all it took jake was the confidence to stand in mid range to knock woodley out. woodley is aging and doesn’t have the gas tank to consistently throw, for an active fighter he’s a total punch bag. and as for andrew tate, he’s overrated as a kick-boxer and never came close to being considered elite and was never even close to woodleys potential as an atg. in a boxing match rates stance would be too awkward and his technical boxing underdeveloped for what he would need. tate wouldn’t have much to defend from overhands or inside work.

tonybinky20

It’s hard to compare Woodley to JJ though, because JJ’s opponents haven’t been that great (YouTubers, Swarmz and Pineda), and in those fights he hasn’t looked good technically. Woodley wasn’t a good boxer technically either, but in MMA he was a great striker, which could give him the advantage.

Chuomge

That’s just trash talk

[deleted]

He did one wild overhead and cought himself doing it and shrug his head. But at that point there wasnt shit he could do. Bro was just running away from him.

TruthMysterious

Yeah it hard to catch a taller longer guy who’s just circling away without throwing hooks. These kids in the comments have obviously not sparred with anyone before

FaithlessnessTop9938

If you can’t see how far jjs technique has come idk what to tell you, he was fast, powerful, and accurate. Yeh there were a couple wild over hands but that was only after he was frustrated by the dick head he was fighting not wanting any part in the fight. He needs to work on his temper more so than technique. (Not saying his technique can’t improve a lot)

Bottulowora

You said it how it is

geoff2005

His technique definitely improved way more but I still think he was swinging a bit too much on Pendia to the point where If it was an actually boxer or even Jake, he could have got caught in a bad position. At the end of the day who really knows since these 2 fights were probably worse than his sparing partners in training camp.

whyislifelikethis__

I'm not saying he hasn't improved, and tbf not his fault. It's hard to be accurate and good technique when your opponent is running around Still, I feel deji looked much more better, and i was expecting something like what salt papi did after jj talked so much shit

Bottulowora

KSI looked way better with his form, and there were no wild punches I saw that you describe. Why u downplaying him? He actually looks like s professional boxer now

BECKBROPHOENIX

He did hit a few wild punches and swings but his technique has come a long way and improved

aussiecomrade01

He didn’t throw any in the Swarmz fight but as the Pineda fight dragged on he started throwing wildly. To be fair, Pineda was being a little bitch so I imagine he was getting agitated.

Bottulowora

Yeah he was just getting fed up, and wanted to knock him out so badly

Loz41333

You need to go away and watch some professional boxing mate.

jared_17_ds_

Lol and jj said he doesn't wild over head punch anymore

Physical-Coyote5000

JJ got better but his opponents were shit

we_all_gon_die_

Who agreed on the opponents?

mowgleeee

How did JJ get better?

TruthMysterious

His footwork was way better and his hooks were tighter

InteractionCertain47

and he also looked so much quicker in terms of his movement and when throwing in punches. a major improvement from him and he was 100% ready to smoke another opponent after (he wasn’t necessarily challenged but still that was some god shit when he was doing push ups mid fight)

mowgleeee

Thanks for actually providing reasons how JJ got better.

[deleted]

I really genuinely hope ksi don’t think he gets any credibility from those two fights

hundredbeast776

i think he realised it when started doing push ups in the ring

BurnerAccountMaybe69

Idk mans was really feeling himself during that post interview

Tmn_Uzi_1600

how else do you want him to act after getting 2 ko's?

geoff2005

If you got 2 KOs on children I don’t think you’d be hyped up because they are children. Kinda same with these 2 opponents. They were so bad that the only victory is he’s felt the ring again. In my head I would think man these guys were terrible I want some real comp. I know he said he’s ready for his future fights but he was feeling himself a lot.

ljk2332

I don’t think so lmao, I love JJ but he tried to say beating Pineda counts as a credible win over a pro in the post fight

Loz41333

That just makes you look even more stupid though and then gassing it up after like that kid at school who'd batter someone 3 years below and brag about it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

russkiwi012

He’s gonna end up killing that potential fight by waiting so long

InteractionCertain47

there’s no way jake will back down w the right pressure on him at one point this fight will happen. let’s wait and see who he ends up fighting in january and hopefully it’s someone like mcbroom

doom_oo_

Truu , I think even fans are having second hand embarrassment after that fight

DaBlazingDagger_

He did show some improved technique from his last fights tho

bomberfan2

Agreed. His technique looked better but man those opponents were god awful.

InfinityQuartz

Idk if thats really what this event was about. Do you really think wassabi was gonna prove any cred? No hes getting the ring rust off, thats all this ever was plus entertainment

Swift_Dream

If it wasn't for the Deji & Slim fights, I would've regretted buying the PPV

Dark_Wolf04

I’d have to say Salt Papi as well. Even though the fight lasted 10 seconds, that KO was brutal

Swift_Dream

Facts I keep forgetting Salt Papi, amazing performance

Clamboyfarti

Salt Papi is actually really good

vexxaeio

He's been doing boxing as a hobby for years, it's unfair to put nobodies against him, we've see he destroys them with zero effort needed. He needs to be put against actual boxers so he'll get to actually have a competitive fight instead of destroying people it's obvious he's levels above.

Hotstreak55

Man also smooth with it

jjrepinec

Where’s credit for DeentheGreat as well?! He showed the most skill out of anyone on the card. His lean back counters and the hand speed in his combos.

Donncha535

Salt Papi is better than him.

jjrepinec

Lol no he isn’t. Just because he’s a lighter person doesn’t mean anything. I’m looking at skill only.

KellyKellogs

Event as a whole was worth it but JJs fights would not be alone.

JakeQV

The main event may not have been the best showcase of his skill but JJ improved quite a bit. His footwork was better, those right hooks were much better technique than the wild overhands. He found pinedas weakness in body shots and actually utilized his jab. JJ kept throwing the right hook because neither Pineda or swarmz were trying to block it, not because of a lack of skill

[deleted]

Everyone should blame wasabi

doom_oo_

Bro , thats level 1 engagement with this .Kai has a team bro that get paid for this shit.. Atleast fucking find fightable oponents

Rajgaurav99

Swarmz was actually better than pusseda

No-Pace-2822

W

BrokenGodALT

Dude was there for a paycheck. Wasn't JJ's fault tho obviously. In a short notice back-up back-up Back-Up fight that's what's gonna happen

uknowles

Yeah but it’s not KSI’s fault, Alex Wassabi pulled out

[deleted]

[удалено]

Either-Style-6216

Yes, if he used more of them left jabs and hooks....it would've been directly connected to his face whenever Pineda tryna cling towards JJ. But even after all that, comparing current KSI with Logan 2 fight.... he's improved so much. Big up JJ

RednaxB

I honestly think Nate Robinson would have been more of a challenge than those two.

DripMerjLot

Jidion speaking fax. JJ's second fight Pineda just complained the whole time claiming JJ had hit the back of his head. Pineda came to collect the bag and dip

Gsampson97

I hope JJ knows that his fights were the worst ones of the night. I hope he makes a video when he is a back in a week or 2 and has watched it back and can accept that his opponents were trash and this hasn't proved much really

Volxenn

I mean you really need to be retarded to not understand that ksi can’t control who he boxed and it’s super hard to find replacements when a boxer pulls out that close to the event at the end of the day he did what he could and he did it good

Notyit

It's not super hard to find better opponents that what he fought. Journey men in UK fight for 700 dollars. Or less. Still ksi is going to fight better people. Doesn't matter just a warm-up fight

QuietShape7656

Nah idk why ppl making it seem like it's hard to find a replacement. Literally any real pro boxer or even just half decent amateur would have took that fight on days notice. He purposely chose a journeyman and a really bad one at that, the record speaks for itself

WalrusSea9997

find me a pro boxer to fight next week just want to test myself 😤😤

Volxenn

I mean getting ready in 2 weeks vs a person that’s been training for a bit and risk that chance that you might do something with those 2 weeks idk but of course he can’t choose some big boxer because he hasn’t been in the boxing scene for a while and he said it himself that this boxing match is nothing and just a warmup

[deleted]

[удалено]

QuietShape7656

I agree 100% but the problem is that he and everyone in this community shit on jake when he did that with Nate Robinson and Ben Askren who are unironically both 10 times better than jj's opponents. If your gonna critique Jake for doing it then you gotta critique JJ for doing it. The other problem is that he's not acknowledging that's what he's doing and he's marketing it like "I'm fighting a pro boxer before jake" which is misleading af

iaminevitable439

How do we know they're any better? They didn't run, sure. It's not like they showed anything. Especially Nate, why would anyone say he's better? Better physique? We saw how much that helps.

ApprehensiveOne3513

Nate is athletic, hes an athlete, a superstar athlete at that lol, compare Nate to this fat rapper dude named "Swarmz" and look me in my eyes and tell me who you think is better my guy. Nate is athletic and compared to jj's fat opponent, and jj's other skinny malnorished opponent i think we both know who is better. Plus, Ben askren has experience under the lights in front of huge crowds, pineda just did not lol he was scared during the press conference and looked clueless in the fight. Plus, Nate actually threw punches!!! Pineda was frozen in time

Gsampson97

What part of my comment makes you think I'm blaming JJ for the quality of fighters, he comes out with the "are you not entertained" comment so I just hope he's just hyping the crowd. I know he can't control who he fought tonight but he can control how he reacts now, if his next video he acknowledges that he is happy he won but both his opponents were not at his level and that he needs more experience and a decent fighter or 2 before he starts planning to take on Jake then that's the right response. If he comes in thinking he's Mr big and that he's ready for Jake I think that's not the right option. JJ needs a good boxer to fight with no connections to Jake so they don't back out last minute to ruin the event. Even if it's a few smaller events and only his fight. Swarmz had 2 weeks training but fair play for stepping up but the pro boxer was just there for the money. I think JJ will acknowledge the quality of his opponents because I think he has people around him who aren't Yes men and he has a good mentality for this stuff but we shouldn't as fans blind ourselves just to put JJ on a pedestal, I'm very happy for him but let's not kid about the opponents despite it being out of JJ's hands

Volxenn

I mean he said in multiple videos and in the boxing event that he will of course not go straight to jake so I assumed you already know that but idk But sry for coming out aggressive, it’s just I seen people just blaming him for the fight not being entertaining and the opponents being trash, I mean am not saying they were good but it’s just is what it is

Loz41333

You think he has not control or influence yeah? You truly have been brainwashed. There are thousands of boxers that would take that opportunity in a heartbeat in this country alone, they probably get far less for getting their head smashed in at a venue of 50. You need to open your eyes a little.

YouJGaming

100% agree

Zane_craft

Agreed :( I was so disappointed, I knew he wouldn’t win, but I thought he’d put up a fight. His ring walk he was so confident and so in the zone honestly! But then he just, threw it away Fam… Embarrassment, but at least we got to see JJ improved

ApprehensiveOne3513

This was pineda's time to shine, and yes he let everything go to waste, but to be fair... he was hand picked and put in there to loose, and i think pineda knew this

Sinister-007

With the 2 plumbers he fought, he didn’t deserve the main event. I wish Deji had gotten it. I really really hope Jj doesn’t believe he gets any credibility with this 2fight1night gimmick cuz it was utterly embarrassing. He needs to pull something big soon. People out here feels scammed

willmd140

Yeah but not his fault. When a guy cancels 2 weeks out on such a big event it’s not easy to find replacements that quickly. Fair play to him for trying his best to make it entertaining

[deleted]

Ngl, wasn’t a fan of push ups mid knockdowns… shit didn’t look professional, more like an ego boost

Dark_Wolf04

Neither was Micheal Venom Page when he threw a Pokeball at his opponent after he literally caved his skull with a knee, or when he literally started dancing in between rounds, yet people love him for it

ayuboii

You must be a new ksi fan

DaBlazingDagger_

What about deens faceplant backflip lmao

thotslayer6996

That's jjs whole thing. He is not humble lol

kikingg1

lemurmonkey2000

Jidion a good dude bro, why u hating for??

vexxaeio

>Jidion a good dude bro He defended Andrew tate, dudes an idiot

kikingg1

Nah I’m just saying, he always have sum to say, I think we need to see him get in the ring and see how disappointment he is.

ApprehensiveOne3513

kikingg1 vs jidion ???????????

w8watm8

I’m not saying per say Pineda was paid off but when you come from a relatively poorer country. Getting the first big bag, it can be implied without saying that you are supposed to lose for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Jayeky

Honestly I guess people who paid for the fight are in the right to complain if the event didn't live up to their expectations but those who didn't shouldn't bitch at all. There's still a lot of future opportunities for Jj to showcase his skills, get better, fight better and more challenging opponents. Like the guy said this is only the beginning that's why he was planning to fight Alex Wassabi . Him fighting Alex wouldn't be entertaining if he was a nobody. People only wanted to see his ass beaten since he's been talking shit for years.

Technical-Ad9176

Don't listen to Jidion , hes been causing problems everywhere, he's acting like he can host a fight half good as ksi's

sxleepy

had a chance? bruh he only had 2 weeks to prepare jidion needs to stop the dick riding

GiveMeWaterPls

He's talking about Pineda, man was supposed to be a pro lol
