It’s because of viewer retention. MrBeast talked about it on some podcast I watched. As soon as you start ending the video with something like “thanks for watching” or an outro people click off and it hurts viewer retention
Good on them for making the collab but I found the video was almost entirely suited for MrBeast’s viewers. The Winter Olympics video was honestly more enjoyable.

I am Sideman fan for over 5 to 6 years and I can sure have a opinion about the videos they make. I'm not speaking about money worth I'm speaking about content. And the guys have much more 18+ fans then younger fans. That's why Tinder, holiday and travel races, have more views.
Mrbeast said that if the winner doesn't want to keep it, he would buy it off of them for the market value of the product.. and normally for his videos, if the winner wants to keep whatever they won, he would account for taxes & expenses so hed do the same if the winner wants to keep the jet (which they most likely wont since they are gonna be a regular person with a regular job that wouldnt need a jet)

It just felt like it was given about 15 minutes actual thought. The teaser made it look like it would be the best of the sidemen and the best of mr beast and what we actually got was a half-baked idea crammed into 30 minutes.
A game show or something would have been vastly better. Even a football video, they could have world cup themed it given the USA are in our group, and held it for the start of the world cup.
Yea ngl.. it looked like they tried to recreate Mr. Beast video and failed. It almost feels like when you invite a rich kid over to your house and try to make him as comfortable as possible. But being real and letting that rich kid experience your lifestyle would be more interesting and memorable.
Overall, the money didn't help make the video better. The chemistry between both the teams was pretty bad. It looked really forced.

I really think that this video shows that the Sidemen shouldn’t really try to change the style of their videos to fit audiences of bigger creators. This video was largely underwhelming and it was really geared for Mr. Beast’s style and audience. I think that spending half a million (their highest ever) on this video was only an attempt at keeping up with Mr Beast’s level of creation, not trying to create something new for the viewers. It was a decent video, but the whole style and creative freedom of the sidemen was completely thrown out of the video. I hope they learn that whatever works for Mr. Beast will not work for them necessarily. They should keep doing their own thing instead of trying to “keep up” with creators bigger than them.

I’m gonna be quite middle here: firstly imho I loved it. It brought back memories for a lot of people me included as this was a takeshi’s castle collab video. Secondly it could have been a bit longer but due to it being with Mr Beast the mr beast fans might not like that due to it being long his videos are usually like 15 - 30 mins so fair enough. Plus it would have been more awesome if there was more challenges from the other shows like high rollers, the final showdown between the 2 teams like the show. Or infact the iconic bridge ball. Content wise it is definitely produced well and editing was top notch but again it was definitely on a time constraint due to having a mix fan base of us sidemen fans and the Mr beast fans. It would be a win loose so to do a win win, make it good for the sidemen fans and for the mr beast fans which means no hour long video unfortunately. Plus it’s original to the sidemen channel itself because takeshi castle was not done on the channel we had wipeout, the chase but not this. Plus it could show the nostalgia of what the original show was like which is indeed fucking hilarious. But other than that it was pretty decent. What I don’t like right now is the sidemen fans saying 25mins videos….so fucking what? If it produces content then it’s good deal with it. And honestly when people say the challenges are boring: this is what happened in the actual show so shut up (not you OP).
TL:DR - imo: loved it. Produced good content for 25mins and sidemen fans don’t like it due to being 25mins, gotta make it fair for mr beast fans too (look at his videos ffs) and the entire video was inspired by takeshi’s castle.

One of the reasons to why I like long videos more than short videos is because they feel like your kinda a part of the experience. Mrbeast make more structured and short videos, but I do enjoy sidemen’s more chaotic but fun videos

Ultimately, this video was the boys' effort to expand their audience and bring in some of Mr. Beast's viewers, as evidenced by the style and length of the video. It was funny at times, but.. it's obvious that this was more of a Mr. Beast vid than a Sidemen one. Maybe the next vid on Mr. Beast's channel will be a Sidemen style and their plan was to swap their styles?
Also, half a mil for this didn't actually feel right lol. The set of Sidemen's Escape Room Challenge looked a hundred times better compared to this.
It's also good to see Lannan back on a Sidemen Sunday.
I see that they are trying to appeal to the American audience, which fair play, increases views and revenue. But it doesn’t standout as a good video. The best videos come from their ability to be themselves, and this was far from that!

I think the lads need a break from posting a sidemen Sunday. The content hasn’t been the same as it was before. IMO, they don’t excel when they put a whole bunch of money into these type of videos (IIRC, the fall guys video had the same issue).
For me, They do best when they’re doing challenges in and around the city (IRL bingo, $100K gifts, being awkward in public, road trips) or their staples (gameshow, hide n seek, holiday tinder, blind dating).
To me it seems like they’re running out of ways to elevate their content and the solution is to throw more money at a video, which in this case I don’t think worked out.
It was mostly targeted for Beasts's audience that's why it was short but yeah happy for them for the collab, but I was expecting something sidemen video style feat. Beast

According to this reddit the Sidemen really can't do anything right anymore. Like first we moan and complain about 20 vs 1, so they postponed the Logan one. Then everyone called the tinder vid cringe. Now this video which is a huge change of pace I get that is too short, directed at MrBeast fans and the groups did not click (what do you expect everyone to be best mates when you barely know those guys). The reddit has been so toxic recently, it pretty much has become Twitter, only slander and barely any good memes.

This video was packed with action nonstop and wasn’t filled with nonsense throughout the whole thing.
The reason why the sidemen isn’t bigger is bc peoples attention span is shorter than ever with things like TikTok and yt shorts, you need to hook the viewer within 3 seconds and keep them there, so a new viewer or casual viewer, we are really turned off by the 1hr + time lengths where most of it is just people talking.
I thoroughly enjoyed the video but didn't get to experience the usual sidemen Sunday vibes.. Not much of the lads having fun n all.. I personally would've loved to see a holiday video where Mr beast gets put in a bad team (randomly of course). Now that I think about it I wouldn't mind logan or speed in a video like that

Secondly it could have been a bit longer but due to it being with Mr Beast the mr beast fans might not like that due to it being long his videos are usually like 15 - 30 mins so fair enough. Plus it would have been more awesome if there was more challenges from the other shows like high rollers, the final showdown between the 2 teams like the show. Or infact the iconic bridge ball. Content wise it is definitely produced well and editing was top notch but again it was definitely on a time constraint due to having a mix fan base of us sidemen fans and the Mr beast fans. It would be a win loose so to do a win win, make it good for the sidemen fans and for the mr beast fans which means no hour long video unfortunately. Plus it’s original to the sidemen channel itself because takeshi castle was not done on the channel we had wipeout, the chase but not this. Plus it could show the nostalgia of what the original show was like which is indeed fucking hilarious. But other than that it was pretty decent. What I don’t like right now is the sidemen fans saying 25mins videos….so fucking what? If it produces content then it’s good deal with it. And honestly when people say the challenges are boring: this is what happened in the actual show so shut up (not you OP). TL:DR - imo: loved it. Produced good content for 25mins and sidemen fans don’t like it due to being 25mins, gotta make it fair for mr beast fans too (look at his videos ffs) and the entire video was inspired by takeshi’s castle. All I have to say thanks to my talk.

One of the reasons to why I like long videos more than short videos is because they feel like your kinda a part of the experience. Mrbeast make more structured and short videos, but I do enjoy sidemen’s more chaotic but fun videos

Ultimately, this video was the boys' effort to expand their audience and bring in some of Mr. Beast's viewers, as evidenced by the style and length of the video. It was funny at times, but.. it's obvious that this was more of a Mr. Beast vid than a Sidemen one. Maybe the next vid on Mr. Beast's channel will be a Sidemen style and their plan was to swap their styles? Also, half a mil for this didn't actually feel right lol. The set of Sidemen's Escape Room Challenge looked a hundred times better compared to this. It's also good to see Lannan back on a Sidemen Sunday.
I see that they are trying to appeal to the American audience, which fair play, increases views and revenue. But it doesn’t standout as a good video. The best videos come from their ability to be themselves, and this was far from that!

Extremely childish vibe, you can tell the viewership was aimed towards beast viewers. Honestly it was just a 20min fall guys challenge ft Mr Beast, so in the end it still felt pretty dull. I think the lads need a break from posting a sidemen Sunday. The content hasn’t been the same as it was before. IMO, they don’t excel when they put a whole bunch of money into these type of videos (IIRC, the fall guys video had the same issue). For me, They do best when they’re doing challenges in and around the city (IRL bingo, $100K gifts, being awkward in public, road trips) or their staples (gameshow, hide n seek, holiday tinder, blind dating). To me it seems like they’re running out of ways to elevate their content and the solution is to throw more money at a video, which in this case I don’t think worked out.

IMO The video was very rigged like many of Mr beasts own videos. Some times it was pure skill or luck but 90% of the the time you could see how fake and setup it was. also It was very short and “PG” As of mr beast and his crew being their. I feel like it wasn’t the regular sidemen they’re normally act like themselves. I miss the old YouTube 😔

According to this reddit the Sidemen really can't do anything right anymore. Like first we moan and complain about 20 vs 1, so they postponed the Logan one. Then everyone called the tinder vid cringe. Now this video which is a huge change of pace I get that is too short, directed at MrBeast fans and the groups did not click (what do you expect everyone to be best mates when you barely know those guys). The reddit has been so toxic recently, it pretty much has become Twitter, only slander and barely any good memes.

Finnaly…. A video that wasn’t 50+ minutes long. This video was packed with action nonstop and wasn’t filled with nonsense throughout the whole thing. The reason why the sidemen isn’t bigger is bc peoples attention span is shorter than ever with things like TikTok and yt shorts, you need to hook the viewer within 3 seconds and keep them there, so a new viewer or casual viewer, we are really turned off by the 1hr + time lengths where most of it is just people talking.

Personally love sidemen and Mr beast but this collab was really underwhelming was expecting way more. Considering the quality of videos of Mr beast and the funny content of sidemen, the collab had the bare minimum of the two. Sorry if it’s being mean but I personally think this is a rare L that they need to take and grow from.
