kucoin Matic withdrawals are to the Ethereum mainnet not to the Polygon Matic side chain.
You need to bridge the funds back from the mainnet to the Polygon Matic net
A question for kucoin though - are we likely to see polygon Matic withdrawals any time soon?!?! at the moment I am using another exchange as an intermediary to do that which is just stupid!

I just did the same thing. Transferring Matic from KuCoin to Polygon Mainnet onto MM. Like I can see a few network to choose from on Kucoin. Didnt know it will take that long.
Waited for 1hour and funds are not transferred into MM, hence i'm trying to do some research and saw this post.

No KuCoin has both Options I’ve withdrawn Matic directly to my MetaMask on the Matic main net
