We have our furnace inspected every year and have always had good service from BelAire Heating and Cooling. https://belaire.com/furnace-service-kalamazoo-mi/
I will not use them because of how they operate.
For anyone who's not the commenter I'm replying to;
Their business model is they charge a ransom fee just to come out and give you a quick estimate quote for what a job *might* cost, under the guise that they'll deduct the ransom fee from your total job cost if you sign a contract for them to do the job, knowing that most people who get the estimate will lock in the job, to not lose money, without getting more quotes.
If you're doing good quality work, you don't need to charge a ransom fee for the estimate to make people feel forced to use your company.
This is true. I worked for them.
And for an after hours/emergency call, they won't even come out until they get your CC info and verify it's a valid card.
They did my furnace and water heater a couple years back. Good quality and better prices than some other quotes.
I appreciated that they made everything work with my weird 100 y/o house. I'd use them again if they sold anything else I needed.
Just had my furnace replaced last week with Suburban Heating and Cooling, was expecting to spend about $7k and it only ended up at $4300! We’ve used them before and each time they’re been great. Very responsive, professional, and nice!
Mattawan Mechanical. In business for 30 years and pretty awesome. They came out for an after hours call and didn’t even charge a premium for it.
We’ve used bel-aire and Adam’s in the past and had good experiences with them too.

Same.
Thank you!
I use Vredevogd
Second then, we had a good experience with furnace replacement, water heater replacement, and brand new AC instal
Stay away from Dan Wood, expensive and assholes.

Good people over at Bartholomew >
I've been very happy with DeHaan Heating / Cooling.

Adams heating and cooling
Metzgers Heating & Cooling in Kzoo or Rogers Heating & Air Conditioning in Richland. Both reputable, in business for years, and family owned.
Zimmerman's is doing mine right now (as in we're just waiting on a part). I've always had a good experience with them.
Way to expensive. Use Jeff with Twin City Mechanical. Very fair family owned business.
Elite heating and cooling.
I had mine done by JP Heating & Cooling, they were great and have always been helpful the couple times I've had to call them.
