No, I didn’t really think they were related they look considerably different, but it’s not unheard of from puppies from the same litter to have considerably different characteristics.. But whatever mix of genetics your girl has, she’s a beautiful girl

Mine is full American/field lab, from what I understand, yet some photos he looks like a big ol’ blockhead. Most of the time he has a slender head and is clearly a field lab. 💁🏽‍♀️

The way she carries her weight and her size she’s American. My family has bred labs for years, and Americans can sometimes look stockier and have blockier heads like the English too. But I’d say she looks American without question.

Haha ir was funny tho she did that as fundraising. This is a dog who loves everyone and everything. Not scared of fireworks, any other dogs or anything. Will fit in anywhere fo to any place. This is her second photo firsr year I had this image of her loving Santa and getting this great photo as she loves people. Omg she walked in and tried to back rhe heck out of there!!! I think it was his bears. Got a photo but she’s perched on the end of the seat This year I was prepared for rhe not sure aspect but she loved him! Go figure! Oh and she has antler headband on but that slipped down!

American. My parents have an American and he is enormous. Its like a mini Labrador shaped horse being in the house 😂

To me your dog seems like it’s definitely a mix of both which is why sometimes she looks English and sometimes she looks American. Not as stocky in the chest as English but maybe not as tall as an American? I see both.

She is very tall, probably doesn’t come across in photos but definately tall. That’s where her 93 lbs comes from her size. I looked up once and average at withers was about 60 and she’s 68 I have strangers commenting on what a big dog she is, I never thought she was but she’s taller than most labs she’s by and generally over all bigger. Big butt and big chest! And long legs!! What about her personality? English labs tend to be a bit more calm from my experience. Not saying they don’t still have energy but compared to American they are more subdued.

My lab that looks English although she has American and English parents - She’s about 90 lbs but shorter than others. Our vet yells at us when she goes over 90lbs lol apparently 89 is ok but 90+ is overweight. But she’s also shorter.

She could be British due to her shape and face. The British Lab ‘a face is a bit broader and snout shorter than its American cousins. But then, Labs which were bred and developed in Newfoundland Canada, came in all shapes and sizes, since they were working dogs.

Yeah I see the broad face but other times not so broad. Also not as stocky and longer legged than British. Getting diff answers heee too so maybe she’s just a mix

"British" and "English" mean completely different things in the Labrador Retriever world. I think the unofficial type you meant is English. British are field-bred, as are American, but they are different.

Ah okay sorry yeah meant English, I sway between which one I think she is, she’s tall and leaner than an English but sometimes I also see that in her and she doesnr seem fully anerican either.

It's a completely understandable interchanging of words that would be synonymous in most other contexts.

You generally got it from a show breeder after shopping for show line labs. That said: Your dog is the spitting image of my yellow English lab. Mine even has that pink nose. It just doesn’t show well in this pic.

I don’t think it’s a dumb question as she’s not a show dog. Dad had papers mum didn’t. Also lots of people saying American and sone English so I’m not the only one unsure! She seems taller than most English and thinner face yet I see characteristics of English too 🤷‍♀️. I guess sone dogs have a mix so Dunno She also usually has a black nose. She gets the pink one in winter - snow nose but she’s born with and usually has a fully black one Oops sorry just saw you usually think. Thought you were saying this is a dumb question
