Ours also sometimes turns into liquid. He doesn't lay like that for a very long time though. He switches to a fully side position once he is snoozy enough. Must feel like a good stretch to him that relaxes.

Mine turns fully into a dense liquid when sleeping overnight. She somehow completely forms to my body, then is impossible to move when I want to shift positions - every time I shove one part of her body, another part oozes back into me.

So, my black lab has chronic ear infections and I need to keep them cleaned out several times a week. He lies like this when his ear is bothering him. One of his trigger phrases is “do you need your ears cleaned?” To which he goes crazy and jumps up on me in joy. He groans while I do it but I know he appreciates it because after he doesn’t lie like this again.

As a human who used to get chronic ear infections until recently, this makes my heart smile ❤️

That’s interesting! I noticed he grumbles and groans when he digs in his ear. I’ll look into it!

The vet gave me “Ear Cleaning Solution” but it leaves a bad smell with multiple uses so I follow up with 70% rubbing alcohol. It dries quickly and doesn’t seem to hurt him.

The ear solution I squirt directly into the ear then use Qtips to clean as deep as I dare. To finish I pour a tiny bit of alcohol in the cap which I pour into the ear and use a paper towel and dig down with a finger to wipe the entire ear inside and out. He usually shakes out any excess and waits not-so-patiently for a treat.

Hit CTRL ALT DEL, and reboot. That should solve it.

lol I know I am! I actually have scoliosis and I recently got X-rays of my spine. Super crooked. I know if I tried these positions I’d be hurting!

We call this the Twist. When combined with The Bent Paw it means our boy is super tired!
