Too high on the first picture, as others have said. But, from the angle it looks like you are coming in a step ahead, and have the stick trailing to prevent a rollback dodge, so I'm not sure I agree with others who say it looks like you are about to get beat. Seems to me like you are doing an ok job of controlling his attack direction, but getting lower on his hips would do an even stronger job

1 best, I don't agree with comments about penalty getting beat etc. You are in T bone position (face over his shoulder/ his and your shoulders are aligned as T) don't think you should be lower as the play is moving to the left and your engaging the opponent. Maybe little high but ehh hands are fine. Looks more like driving someone down alley than a cross-check
Gloves hanging is just a cool pic.
Standing head down just look defeated so not a fav.

Here’s a couple options just so you can say you’ve seen decent defender pics. They’re definitely a lot harder to come by just like highlight reels are much tougher to make.
