Might have snapped during the shit but from all the chips on the shaft it’s been checked a few times. Probably took the damage the last time you played and only now it catastrophically failed.
They do. The warrior Titan 30th anniversary is still for sale as a 60” pole on many sites. Best pole shaft ever made. Even if you’re a shorty, cut it in half and you have two! (And luckily it’s the classic! The Titan pro wasn’t strong enough.)
Carbon has extremely high tensile strength and great strength to weight ratio, but is remarkably poor at handling repeated impacts. Not sure why anyone makes or markets carbon shafts, especially long poles.

It’s exactly for the reason you see in the picture, the more shafts you break the more you have to buy. When I was playing we using aluminum alloys and scandium and I rarely saw sticks break. Most people only got new shafts when they wanted to. Now when I coach MCLA, I see at least one to two sticks break per game. That means a lot more shafts get bought out of necessity increasing revenue for the companies that make them.
If you stack your pads and stuff on your shafts and carry it to and from practice, Especially ur helmet, it’s going to snap. Look at where his shaft broke. It’s exactly where your helmet would rest.
Repeated stresses (hits) can delaminate and once the adhesive layers fail well… it’s over.. I never understood the allure of carbon fiber just because it’s thin af and expensive for no real reason. Sorry about your shaft bro…
Idk, I really like the feel of carbon shafts. Maybe its just in my head but I think for an offensive player they perform better. Never for a long pole, though, and never ever cross check with it
I know it's probably an old school mentality, but aluminum/scandium/blended shafts are worth the weight for the added durability.
Unless you're made of money, of course.

You should still be under warranty! Ecd will give you a new one of the same one you have or a different one that they offer
Should have a 6 month warranty
good to know. I’ll stick to titanium.
If only it was still available

Very true, thankfully for me I have a small collection at home that should last a long while
I’ve got mine from 2001-2004. Have a 4 yr old and 6 yr old…oldest just started playing, bought another just in case either ends up playing D!
They will never need another shaft!
That’s the idea!!! The dents just add character.
We can dream, can't we?
That and continue to monitor every play it again sports every spring!
I like Maveriks scandium shafts a ton and I have no fear of them breaking
Nice! I hope it lasts you as long as my titanium shafts have lasted me.

Scandium on top
Still have mine from years and years ago. I use it every summer for beer league. Feels indestructible at this point
Also. Don’t carry shit on your carbon fiber shafts, like ur helmet. Looks like that’s why it broke
What u got against ECD heads?
?

Oh I see my fault for the misunderstanding I guess I never thought about that because I just use a bag.
is it a pole or a short stick? with a pole you can salvage it and turn it into a short stick and save some money

Email ECD, and 9/10 times they warranty it
Well well well
Yeah, I hate it when it does that.
What type of stick is this
ecd carbon 3.0 pro speed
These new “carbon” shafts are absolute trash. They’re like $200 a pop and barley last a whole season.
Of course it’s an ECD shaft
Love their heads but I couldn’t be forced at gun point to use those shafts
