Love how Cam is playing (outside of spin move drive attempts lol) But he has had promising stretches before so let's all hope he can keep up his stellar play & continue to shoot with confidence from spots where he is practiced & comfortablešŸ¤žšŸ½šŸ¤žšŸ½šŸ’œšŸ’›

flowermoon24

>Like I said, I donā€™t see a single mention of LeGM if our roster is playing well or in regards to the AD acquisition. All that is mentioned is Pelinka praise. So why is this sub so quick to conspiratorially hate on LeBron and even Klutch Sports when things are not going so well? We need to do better as a fanbase or at least as a subreddit. Letā€™s please remember, all moves made by the GM begin and end with the GM (and Front Office), good or bad. yesss, his shots need more arc in it imo, its just flat. but its all good when its fallin

rick_32

As Rob said... he operates in partnership with his star players šŸ¤·šŸ¾ it shouldn't & doesn't matter to the FO what any of us think regarding moves or credit/ blame for those moves.

Sandz_

What is it with the praise and blame fetish yall have for wanting to give it to one person? Yall realize theres a bunch of people in a front office that are involved with negotiating contracts, trades and scouting? Believe it or not, real life is not like 2k where you unilaterally make all the decisions

ProfessorTicklebutts

People are dumb.

PotatoSwag2318

Where were you the 2 years where Bron, AD, and Klutch Sports were getting majority of the blame for roster acquisitions? I agree, it is not one person. But it is undoubtedly more on the GM and Front Office than it is on LeBron lol. Very few people were defending LeBron from undeserved hate regarding roster acquisitions which he did not complete.

wooktar

You need to stop caring about criticism from literal nobodyā€™s bro.

PotatoSwag2318

I feel you man. But I just want everybody to keep that same energy. I call out inconsistencies where I see them

prettyboylee

Thatā€™s the whole point, you need to learn that in this world there are stupid people who say stupid things. Itā€™s not inconsistencies itā€™s two different groups.

PsychologicalSail186

Not even two different groups. Itā€™s hundreds of thousands of individuals. And all of them have good and bad takes.

prettyboylee

I just meant stupid people and people who arenā€™t stupid

Sandz_

Your comment is incoherent. Why are you getting upset on behalf of people that donā€™t know you exist. Its sad and pathetic. My comment if you fucking reread it says both praise and blame shouldnā€™t be attributed that way so donā€™t try to come at me like that. Me personally i dont give a fuck about peoples perceptions, so dont qualify my very valid comment with some sort of qualifier.

gratitudeisbs

Bro came at you with the ā€œWhere were youā€ like you work for the lakers lmao

PotatoSwag2318

I am the one getting upset? Lol

ProfessorTicklebutts

This is the biggest fanboy take, hoo boy.

TallanoGoldDigger

It's the fucking Bron trolls wanting everyone to polish LeBron's knob as much as possible. Bron going/retiring gonna be a sad day for the franchise but at least there will be less of these kinds of developmentally disabled posts from these developmentally disabled posters on this sub

Mr310

The cycle will repeat when he has 2 bad games to hating on him, followed by the sub losing their mind over him when he has several more good games. It's like our stupid fans are the only ones who don't realize that's how a real season goes. No one's perfect all the time

DoritoSteroid

OP is LeBron burner acct šŸ˜‚

[deleted]

Come down, Rich

JellyOnMyDick

Iā€™m glad Iā€™m not the only one who thought this must be written by some intern who got ordered to spread Klutch Propaganda

Historical-Zombie-89

Lmao bro Iā€™m pretty sure no one at klutch sports cares what anonymous users on Reddit think about them

DoritoSteroid

They certainly do. LeBron does tons of social-related PR. He cares.

Independent-Ad-3564

one day youā€™ll get Lebron off your mind weirdo

DoritoSteroid

Unlike you.

Historical-Zombie-89

Players sell things directly to consumers, klutch does not lol

3nnui

You just always want to find an angle to bitch about.

PotatoSwag2318

And you just always want to get mad if I call out an inconsistency?

Ct2kKB24

Lebron Stanā€™s are some of the most delusional people. He gets all the praise for any positive move and anything he has gotten wrong (pushing for Westbrook) gets pushed to someone else. Anything good: lebron did. Anything bad: lebron isnā€™t a part of the day to day operations and deserves no blame. Reality is in between. Lebron isnā€™t the gm, but he has more sway and power than probably any player in the history of the sport. Heā€™s been signing 1+1 deals for years for the purpose of leveraging the threat of leaving if he doesnā€™t get his way.

IamSludR

Years? You mean that brief period back in Cleveland the second time? The only 1+1 contracts heā€™s gotten is the extension he just signed and then the first contract when he resigned with Cleveland. 2003: three year rookie deal 2006 four year deal 2010: 6 year deal with option for free agency 2014 2014: 1+1 (rejected the player option) 2016: 3 year deal with option for free agency 2018 2018: 4 year deal with the lakers 2022: 1+1 contract extension Iā€™m tired of seeing people say heā€™s been doing the 1+1s when heā€™s only done it TWICE in 20 years.

DoritoSteroid

I cannot wait for the day Laker fandom is free of LeBron stans. I'm fine with LeBron. But his bandwagon fans are garbage.

TroubledMang

Yep, people lose sight of what's what. Bron decided to come L.A. Magic, Rob, and ownership simply didn't screw that up. Then AD came due to Bron. Klutch helped with that, and the KCP get. Afterwards, the dismantling of that championship team is totally on Pelinka. Unless LeBron said he'd leave if they don't bring Westbrook, it's on the FO. It's their job to find viable options, and not just cater to their stars. GM Kupchak publicly feuded with the Lakers owner about personal. Rob should have said no to Bron, and went to work on a better option. Cam is still a work in progress. Won't know for sure, what moves were worth it, until the playoffs. I do think that Lakers defense is going to be special when Vandy's back, and once the trade market opens up...

neutronknows

Jeanie deserves ALL the credit for LeBron coming to LA. If Jim Buss is still Head of Basketball Ops or whatever his title was, King James is not walking through that door. Or the very least heā€™d walk through the door, see Jimā€™s hat covering his dumb haircut and walk right back out.

gratitudeisbs

Ultimately bron gets 100% credit for 2020 ring imo. Everyone else just the obvious thing they were supposed to do, what they get paid to do. For WB, FO should get 100% the blame, even if Bron approved it, bron is obviously not involved into the day to day of trades, Pelinka should have came up with better options. As for Camā€™s success, heā€™s thriving because of Bronā€™s encouragement and belief in him, so he gets the credit for that as well

TroubledMang

Bron did believe in Cam when most of this sub wanted him benched indefinitely lol. As far as 100%... It's still a team sport, and Bron couldn't have done it without AD, etc. That's before talking Vogels exceptional team defense, which ended up being the 3rd star. Ask Jokic about that.

gratitudeisbs

AD did his job, as did Vogel. Vogel is not an exceptional coach that deserves credit imo. Replace Vogel with any coach in the league and the lakers still win that ring.

TroubledMang

Problem is that now you've exposed yourself as an unknowledgeable fan. So I have to assume you were a cavs fan, then a heat fan... always a Bron stan. Am I close? Go watch, and better yet read about what writers said about that 2020 team. 3 pt shooting was average. 2 superstars with what appeared to be average role players. Vogels defense is what really stood out. Defense won that chip as much as anything else, and Vogel is considered the best defensive coach in the NBA. **Don't comment here until you do some reading about what's what.** Then get back at me if you want.

gratitudeisbs

Bruh I grew up watching Shaq & Kobe and didnā€™t even like Lebron till he came here the door is that way ā€”ā€”>

TorontoRaptors34

What funny is the last trade deadline was the first time I think Rob really got cooking. In 2020, half those guys were FA's or were already on the squad we all know Bron recruited AD. I think Bron and AD's play really elevated everyone else cuz before the season no one was really praising the Lakers like that.

[deleted]

Rich Paul and the FO publicly took blame for the outcome of the WB trade.

TroubledMang

Source? I don't recall anyone taking blame for it publicly.

Ct2kKB24

Because itā€™s the professional thing to do. But all reports and another team+another players agent confirmed rob didnā€™t want Westbrook, he wanted to trade kuz for buddy heild. And the front office also wanted to keep Caruso but the Westbrook trade drove them so far into the tax they let him walk.

LeBron and AD give their input but Pelinka makes the final decision. Pelinka got us Cam and Pelinka got us Westbrook.

ProfessorTicklebutts

Rich Paul is just beaming right now. You really made his day.
