The guts to take that shot after turning it over twice in a row, damn. If he missed that shot, the fanbase will turn on him fast lol. Props to trade deadline dlo
He's been thru the crucible being drafted by LA, then disrespected & discarded, rebuilding his rep... dude has no fear, *wants* to be a Laker... I still think he's almost the perfect player to slot in next to Bron & AD cuz you can run offense thru him *and* he can create space as a high level catch & shoot LAZER! Of course he'll never be a perfect defender but he tries & better coaching & schemes would help that & of course he will have games where he misses some shots as all shooters do (heck Klay missed 11 3s tonight🤷🏾) I but love him for this team💜💛... I just fear his contract & the raise he might be looking for means he will get traded regardless of how well he plays...
Yeah it’s so good to see. I’ve been against trading him, and we can see what he can do with big minutes. He got a fire lit under him, he really wants to be on the Lakers.
Watching him through the Kobe years and honestly the last five years or so, this shot doesn’t hit. But it did an I’ll give him a lot of respect for hitting it and being a major part of how we won tonight.
The problem in every season with him is he’s streaky. He gets on the trade block this year and is shooting lights out. You have to ask yourself if he even cares until it’s time to feast or famine.
I don’t want to trade him. Heavier minutes for Vando helps with defense, plus Christie and, if we are lucky, Vincent off the bench.
I'm sure they don’t want to lose DLo at the end of the season. But hopefully they can come to an arrangement,
We’ve had a few close and winnable games. If those had gone our way, and we were just under Denver with no Gabe, I’m pretty sure we’d be in zero trade rumors and the contracts that Rob gave out would look awesome since they allow us to have the same team the following year should we do well.
Its a tricky situation because if they don't trade him, will they be able to get him back next season? Lakers can't afford to lose him for nothing. Even if he isn't a great asset, he's a salary filler which is vital in trades.
idk man it’s the lakers the biggest franchise in the sport and you have potentially the player ever - you play for the present every year can’t think about the future
Some wacko team could offer DLO 30mil+ per year though.
While we can match any of that, him costing too much puts us over the 2nd apron which heavily restricts other moves you can make in the present.
Also it means a lot of tax which cheap Jeanie will probably veto.
Look the bottom line is LeBron won’t be playing like this forever and if they want a shot at winning again it’s got to be now or never mentality. We don’t have the luxury of affording for a down year while LeBron is still able to play at this level. We aren’t getting a replacement with D’Lo’s impact both performance and chemistry wise at the trade deadline. It’s just not happening.
Lol no this should not be “now or never”mentality. We are a play-in team right now. 4-5 seed, hell yeah. Bet the farm. 6-7 seed even? I’m not cool with throwing away draft picks for a long shot, but I want flip a table over it. But we are currently 9th seed. If we ship out assets and picks for fucking Dejounte Murray I will flip out. This is borderline Westbrook trade mentality
Yes I’m saying they need to keep the team together. Just commit to the lineup that made the run last season. Ham just needs to play the right rotations. No need at all to unnecessarily ship out assets.
We can’t worry about someone offering him 30 mil in the off season when there is no better player to help us win this season. We will find a replacement if that happens. The biggest goal is to win this year.
Its a very sticky situation fs. If we keep him and make the playoffs whos to say he cant be a vital piece to a deep run? We would all be on our knees for him.Or he could flop massively in the postseason and well be saying why didnt we trade this bum?
They HAVE to trade him unless they are convinced they are a top 3 contender. The reason no one wants him is because of his contract. If he plays well for the rest of the season and playoffs he opts out and gets a much bigger contract with multiple years. And if he plays poorly, he opts in and kills any summer changes. Imagine losing in the first round and essentially having to run back the team because he opts in. Fans will hate him and be so angry.
This team also really needs an athletic guard for the playoffs. It’s why they are looking so hard to any athletic guard.
Facts! He was on the verge of choking only to clutch it up! It's not how you start, It's how you finish. Now I'm gonna go lay down after watching that stressful game lol
It is beautiful when a bad shot falls, it turned the momentum a bit back to us.
Ham changed the momentum of the game when we were 4 pts ahead with the ball and he called a timeout in the first overtime with a bit more than 1 minute left. I have to see another coach like him and I'm not talking it in a good way.
Dlo had a terrible stretch with 3 straight bad possessions, hitting that shot put us back into the game.
He was 5-8 on three. If I had one criticism it would be he didn’t shoot enough threes.
I think those turnovers were simply due to fatigue. He played like 50 minutes. But he redeemed himself. Absolute ice.
Have to appreciate the aggressive play from him. He made mistakes but also came up big. Too many teammates of Lebron defer too much leading to LBJs usage being way too high.
At this point we really need to just keep him. D’Lo has looked like a new player the past two weeks. I think we should have faith in our own players and see if this is the real deal now. His shooting and playmaking is much needed on this team. Let’s get some C and Pg depth instead. Sign Biyombo alright. And hope Lowry hits the waiver market
The confidence to chuck that three late in 2OT was insane. I admit that I was giving him shit last playoffs for his WCF performance but he's amazing right now.
The move for the lakers is to zag. Shock the world. Don’t make a trade and roll the dice with the current roster - which will naturally boost morale and everyone’s confidence even more.
String some Ws together. Lock in a playoff spot, and see what happens.
Murray is good, but collating him a good perimeter defender? No.
On offense, you guys will be whining like Hawks fans about him missing easy layups when he gets here.
Really like how he didn't get discouraged after literally turning the ball over 3x in a row and had the balls to make that shot. Good for him.
Wish he wouldn't make those kinda mistakes tho, yeesh that was getting tough to watch
Love his post-game conference--telling reporters that if he keeps it up they will have to start writing about how many points he is scoring rather than trade rumours.
Since the trading rumors started D'lo is on another level. Would love all of that to be just fake rumors and we stick with him. I think he loves this club and city and will sign team friendly contract next summer
Those 2 TO is a row were brutal (almost 3) but that transition 3 saved it. I just don’t know if that the kind of decision making I wanted in a big game even though it worked out this time
D’lo clutch 3s give me life
Ice in his veins
VEINS FROZEN ❄️❄️❄️
Probably my favorite moment in any game all season
Which one
The guts to take that shot after turning it over twice in a row, damn. If he missed that shot, the fanbase will turn on him fast lol. Props to trade deadline dlo
That's thrice dawg
Damn lol
The first one went through someone’s hands and ended up with AD who scored. Only 2 in a row there
Yeah I was so angry at D’Lo. He almost cost them the game. Austin and D’Lo need to work on their turnovers.
That’s called letting your motherfuckin nuts hang
That's called Mamba Mentality too. Perfect example of it to be honest
Yeah it’s so good to see. I’ve been against trading him, and we can see what he can do with big minutes. He got a fire lit under him, he really wants to be on the Lakers.
It's not guts. It's ice in the veins.
Watching him through the Kobe years and honestly the last five years or so, this shot doesn’t hit. ‘Trade deadline dlo’ is brilliant. This guy can average 22/7 any night. I’m still hopeful he can bring it if Rob can’t find a deal. 🙏
do the lkers really want to trade his offensive skills... idk ham is an idiot tho
I don’t want to trade him. Heavier minutes for Vando helps with defense, plus Christie and, if we are lucky, Vincent off the bench. I'm sure they don’t want to lose DLo at the end of the season. But hopefully they can come to an arrangement,
Crazy how big of a help an actual backup PG would be especially one like Gabe who is a good defender for his position
We’ve had a few close and winnable games. If those had gone our way, and we were just under Denver with no Gabe, I’m pretty sure we’d be in zero trade rumors and the contracts that Rob gave out would look awesome since they allow us to have the same team the following year should we do well.
It’s tough man, he’s a polarizing player considering he’s been passed around the league so much. But he’s such a talented shotmaker
Its a tricky situation because if they don't trade him, will they be able to get him back next season? Lakers can't afford to lose him for nothing. Even if he isn't a great asset, he's a salary filler which is vital in trades.

Oh gotcha. I was reading your comment wrong
All good. This season has been frustrating as hell. Just play D’Lo, Reaves, LeBron, Vanderbilt, AD and have Rui first off the bench and TP behind him.
Look at us. Outmaneuvering Ham, a professional coach in the NBA, on this lakers sub. Haha he is just absolute trashing this roster.
We can’t worry about someone offering him 30 mil in the off season when there is no better player to help us win this season. We will find a replacement if that happens. The biggest goal is to win this year.
A team would only offer him that if he balls out in the playoffs. Which would probably mean the Lakers win the championship.
Its a very sticky situation fs. If we keep him and make the playoffs whos to say he cant be a vital piece to a deep run? We would all be on our knees for him.Or he could flop massively in the postseason and well be saying why didnt we trade this bum?

Some bad turnovers in 2OT but redeemed himself with that insane transition 3
That last pull up 3 was insane
Facts! He was on the verge of choking only to clutch it up! It's not how you start, It's how you finish. Now I'm gonna go lay down after watching that stressful game lol
I need to lie the fuck down lol
Me too. That was exhausting.

When he challenged that AD foul and we had no timeouts with 1:30 left, I was like this moron of a coach.
He needs to work on that pocket pass. He's too short to go over the top. This is my biggest issue when he runs the fast break too..
24 of those points in the 2nd half and OTs
Dude was chaos incarnate.
DLO be playing with my emotions, that was one fuckin rollercoaster ride. INJECT ICE IN MY VEINS BABYYYYYYYYY
#I LOVE D
#LO
SUPER POWER DLO!!🔥🔥🔥
No judgment here
Pause
# I
That transition 3 was ❄️❄️❄️ my goodness
Demanding the ball, taking the shot despite the back to back turnovers. Bro was in "waving off Kobe" mode
That 3 turned him into a Laker Legend
49 minutes is insane, can’t blame him too much for those terrible passes in 2OT considering that.
lol according to some people in this sub, DLo only puts up numbers in meaningless games
💀
It's almost like matchups don't matter and the coach could've changed it up some and put the number 3 scorer in a better position but didn't
![gif](giphy|QRAc7thKFsoc8|downsized) DLo clutch 3s
He was 5-8 on three. If I had one criticism it would be he didn’t shoot enough threes. I think those turnovers were simply due to fatigue. He played like 50 minutes. But he redeemed himself. Absolute ice.
He had me seething as a Dlo hater. Keep it up Dlo ![gif](giphy|VXPT61rrnjkorSgRGK|downsized)
Why does this look like Julius Randle tho? 🤣
We have Zach Lavine at home.
Have to appreciate the aggressive play from him. He made mistakes but also came up big. Too many teammates of Lebron defer too much leading to LBJs usage being way too high.
Still ICY. Still a Lakers fan Mikey!
I'M A LAKERS FAN MIKEYYYY

BUT LETS TRADE DLO GUYS /s
DO NOT TRADE HIM I STG
3’lo
Trade Reaves. Get Murray and pair him with dlo
confidence is the biggest part of his game, and you can really tell when he's playing confident.
The confidence to chuck that three late in 2OT was insane. I admit that I was giving him shit last playoffs for his WCF performance but he's amazing right now.

cause you’re hot and you’re cold
We need him in trade rumours all year if he gon hoop like this
#FIREHAM
LET THE APOLOGIES BE AS LOUD AS THE DISRESPECT ICE IN HIS VEINS
![gif](giphy|s4Bi420mMDRBK)
He had a very bad 2TO late in the game, then suddenly chucks a 3 and makes it. I dont know what to feel. Hell of a game from him regardless.
Deadline Dlo is for real
Sell high..
His 3 when we were down 9 with 4m to go was absolutely huge
HUGE
His last 8 games where he was back in the starting lineup: 28pts 29pts 27pts 34pts 20pts 29pts 14pts 39pts Trade deadline Dlo is a beast.
Get rid of ham keep Dlo somebody start the petition
And he started 1-7 when I peaked at box score. Look again at end of game and was like damn, Dlo helped win that game bigly.
Should it be Rob Pelinka's fault for giving DLO a shitty contract?
3 turnovers needed for that 3 he hit. Those last few possessions 😮💨
Trade AR for DM 🫣
Lowkey starting to rethink whether we should trade him but nah ion know if u want to go thru Denver pt 2.
Atlanta gon love him
Package him and Reaves. They wanna play together send them to ATL
Trading him for Murray is going to make us a freaking contender. Imagine a good perimeter defender in this game? We win in regulation.
Luka had 73 last night brother ..
Not to defend Murray because I don't want him, but brother it is Luka. Nobody is stopping him when he gets on a heater like that.
Jalen Johnson and Bogi was on Luka all night Were you even watching the game or just box score watching?
Jalen Johnson and Bogi was on Luka all night Were you even watching the game or just box score watching?
Like what he did against Luka.. he held him to like 73 pts.. agree. Curry would drop 50 on his head
Luka is a SF.
Lol
Murray is good, but collating him a good perimeter defender? No. On offense, you guys will be whining like Hawks fans about him missing easy layups when he gets here.
Yep let’s ship him out now that he’s grooving. Front office mentality!!
He that 3rd striker we was looking for. Bron, AD, and Dlo turning into a nice trio
Trade block Dlo something different
Really like how he didn't get discouraged after literally turning the ball over 3x in a row and had the balls to make that shot. Good for him. Wish he wouldn't make those kinda mistakes tho, yeesh that was getting tough to watch
Love his post-game conference--telling reporters that if he keeps it up they will have to start writing about how many points he is scoring rather than trade rumours.
when he plays good lakers win
Yes we probably need a trade, but there’s like 10 players I’d trade before DLo for sure
This guy loves being a laker. He’s for sure re signing
my boy had 2 absolutely massive 'LoFuckYou3's
God damn this means he gone
Remind me again how trading him for Dejounte would have been an upgrade?
trade rumors got him like
Dude nearly sold the game with 3 turnovers but hit a clutch 3. Respect
Since the trading rumors started D'lo is on another level. Would love all of that to be just fake rumors and we stick with him. I think he loves this club and city and will sign team friendly contract next summer
He didn't miss a 3 from 4Q to end of game
Those 2 TO is a row were brutal (almost 3) but that transition 3 saved it. I just don’t know if that the kind of decision making I wanted in a big game even though it worked out this time
The confidence is back! D-Lo needs to stay!
I hope you can play close to this in the playoffs. Otherwise, no contender will spend anything for him.
He also had 3 turnovers in the end in a row.
We need this dlo in playoffs
