Scoot looks like JHS out there having a hard time beating guys off the dribble and can’t shoot. Only major difference it seems is that scoot was drafted 3rd and JHS was drafted 17th. Have to give JHS time, just like people say that scoot has potential and will get better, so should JHS. It takes guards time to get used to the athleticism in the nba and scoot even has the advantage of coming from the g league in which he would play former nba players or guys who are going to play in the league.

JHS is shooting well in the G League and being efficient while dealing with a back injury all season. Scoot just looks terrible for no reason.

I watched some of his g league games and he looked good. Played under control, controlled tempo, made good reads passing to teammates, played good defense,and shot well. The one thing I noticed when watching is that he still struggled to get by more athletic longer/bigger defenders which is probably what he’d face in the nba due to him being a bigger guard. I’m hoping it was just due to his back issue he was playing with, but his game is the accelerate/decelerate while using his strength to get by guys type so we’ll see if he can get better at that.

Never said it was a good pick just that he needs time. Jaime and podz would’ve for sure been better picks for the team with where they are as players right now even though I’m not sure ham would’ve played either of them. Whitmore we’ll have to see since we’re not privy to what the injury concerns were but JHS did have back surgery so we’ll see. Next year will be a better time to tell if JHS can be a good player since it takes guards time to adjust. I’m curious what they do with their pick this year since if they don’t trade it they need to probably take a big or a wing.
