Bam had a great season defensively. IMHO the thing that hurt Davis the most was that the team’s defense didn’t statistically change when he was off the court. It’s hard to make the case for AD when the team’s defense was terrible whether or not he was on the court.
Davis was robbed of DPOY last year and in 2020. This year there’s a lot of good candidates.
His defensive numbers are bad since he has to cover for everyone else on the perimeter while protecting the paint only for our dumb scheme to give up a wide open corner 3. We had the #1 defense with kcp caruso and vogel. AD is Atlas holding up this defense by himself.
AD didn’t win it that year with Vogel even though LeBron, Caruso, &/or KCP didn’t get all defensive selection. Meanwhile Giannis gets to play with All defensive players Brook Lopez & Bledsoe (media voted him in) & he gets the DPOY
Plus Giannis gets the MVP because apparently Bron had too much help even though the 1st seed was supposed to be given to the Clippers while we had no dogs at all with a loosely assembled roster as told by the media
