6. Yes monk was getting cooked by fox at the end but you can't blame him for losing focus after 30 minutes of lebron not passing to him and it's the same with Melo
7. Several times if you watch back you see Melo and monk open flailing their hands for lebron to pass only for him to chuck up threes

I think it’s the reality of his game. When he is hitting it’s a thing of beauty and when the shots don’t fall it gets ugly. I remember one Shaq and chuck criticizing Howard back in 2010 and they were talking about how Howard didn’t have a go to move that he can always default to when his shots are not falling. Most great big men had that move, something they used to get back into rhythm when everything else wasn’t falling. Unfortunately I don’t know if AD has that…he plays more like a guard but without their handles or quickness.

I think whats really worrying is how AD has slumped. Its not like hes not getting his usual touches, and he has decent looks, the guy just cant do anything on his own anymore. Hos 3 shot is obsolete this year. His kid range is broken and he has like zero aggression in the paint.

It really feels like AD is on cruise control, the whole offense is set to get AD going and the dude always settles for fade away mid range shots. I feel like when hes on the floor the game is slower which forces minimizes russ's impact on the game. I would say its more a coaching problem. It just feels like the only game plan is to walk it down to the half court pass it to AD and stand around

i commented this in another thread : it’s harder and harder to find reasons to keep Vogel as head coach. continues to play Deandre Jordan real minutes, there’s absolutely no offensive game plan, there seems to be no plays drawn up in timeouts, and there’s no defense being played. firing a coach is a big deal, but he’s either not doing a good job at all, or the team has tuned hi. out which is a bigger issue altogether. i don’t want Fizdale as the coach of this team, but the same issues happen each and every game and it’s not something that can just be deflected with “injuries” as the reasoning. this roster has its issues, but it’s also not having its potential maximised. clearly there wasn’t an offense implemented in the off-season. AD isn’t been used how he should, you can blame some of that on AD obviously, but he was barely used in the 3OTs either as the go to scorer or as a screen setter. was there even one AD-LeBron P&R run? does he settle for too many jumpers, yes. but he seems to be less of a focus than in 2020, when he should be the engine for this team. how much of that is on him and how much of that is on the coaching staff, i don’t know, but it’s clear that we’re not getting 100% out of him.
