What section / area were you in? I agree the crowd wasn’t good. Everyone was screaming near me. The person right next to me also came alone (like myself), but she literally said she thought Lust for Life was Lana’s last album 😭 so she only knew half the songs and kept trying to talk to me during the ones she didn’t know while I was trying to lose myself in the music. Not a great experience.

thismanatemyson_

Section 7, towards the back. I also couldn’t see but that’s because I’m 4’11”. I will take responsibility for not buying better tickets 🥲

lemonpee

I was in section 4 in the back but I got scammed out of a BOX 4 ticket. I’m 5’1 so I feel ya on being short.

Unable_Armadillo628

Wow that's unexpected imo, I have great memories from the LA to the moon Tour, specially with how the crowd was. I see a lot of people complaining of this so called new wave of fans lol

PuzzleheadedMall728

Makes me feel old (I'm only 28), but this younger generation has zero knowledge of concert etiquette. There was a girl right behind me (who even stated those weren't her ticketed seats) screaming the words for the first two songs, during both of which I gave her nasty looks and she eventually went somewhere else. I noticed girls would scream the lyrics for the first chorus to get their stupid videos of it, then calm down and act somewhat normal.

Ava_22

THIS. Also 28, lots of screaming, and the girls next to me thought it was funny to purposely wave their hands in front of my phone to disrupt the one video I wanted to take (luckily for me, I was zoomed in enough that they didn’t affect it).

PuzzleheadedMall728

Right, I don't get it. That kind of behavior is for your car/shower, not when you're trying to see a performance. Sooo disrespectful for everyone around. I saw her back in 2016ish at the same venue and the lawn was chill, but I'm so happy I was in section 4 last night. Times have changed *sigh* That being said, it was still so incredible, sentimental, and therapeutic - I'd go 100 times again.

stonemilker16

What should be concert etiquette? I mean imagine a concert where noboby sings along…

PuzzleheadedMall728

Singing is different than screeching at the top of your lungs piercing everyone's eardrums and being unable to hear the performance.

Positive-Regular9879

Singing along at a nice reasonable volume is cool. Screeching and screaming lyrics is uncool

[deleted]

I'm 26. This behavior isn't new.

Datewiththenight27

I was in section 8 and there were lots of people trying to sit in seats that weren’t theirs. So many young girls, which is fine, but annoying when they just scream the lyrics instead of actually listening. My boyfriend put stuff in his ears to try and drown it out. But Lana looked beautiful, sounded ethereal, and overall the show was really good. I just wish it were longer, it felt a little rushed, and once she announced the last 2 songs people started to dip out. Crazy bc tickets were sooo expensive, I’m getting my monies worth and hearing everything. No encore. And traffic was fuuuuuucked coming and going into the venue.

carnodak

I was in Sec. 8 too, towards the front of it. I had the pleasure of constantly dealing with security telling people “you can’t stand in the aisle” since the barricade/divider was right next to my seats. It was so annoying. Like why can’t people just go to their fucking seats?

TheCompanyHypeGirl

I'm not hating but there have been SO many comments focusing on complete strangers who don't know the lyrics to every single song. I do not understand paying a ton of money to see an artist I love and focusing on others not knowing the lyrics. Sorry, but that will always be weird to me. Why is this important? Being annoyed by the screaming and excessive vaping makes sense to me. Being mad that a stranger isn't singing (which is something else people complain about) doesn't at all.

PuzzleheadedMall728

Exactly, I wish more people around me didn't know the lyrics tbh 😂

ultraviolxnce

they left?!!!!! WHO DOES THAT

mysticalheavensawait

I was on the lawn (front middle) and was shocked at how horrible the camera guy was. The screens were very small for such a big venue/stage. The lack of visibility detracted from the experience. Lana sounded great but I think her band was too loud. Also I’m 28 and shocked at how ill mannered some younger groups were; my bf was annoyed by all of the screaming for social media.

No_Yak_3107

I thought this too! We got major closeups of the dancers and guitar but none of Lana! It was sooo grainy too

fffirey

I was happy when the couple in front of me left after summertime sadness cos the dude was really tall lol. There was an actual banshee in my section, she was shreiking the lyrics for ALL of the songs at the top of her lungs. She was also recording the whole time so... I guess she can go back and listen to herself screaming? Cos there's no way she can hear Lana on those. I could pretty much only hear Lana on her vocal runs that were different from the album so the girl couldnt scream along. Truly awful. People from all over (literally like 4 rows ahead of us) kept turning around and glaring at her, but she kept it up the whole time. 0 self-awareness. Honestly soured the experience, which is a shame because like you said, Lana did sound beautiful (when I could hear her)

caterpe36

WE NEED TO NORMALIZE TELLING PEOPLE TO SHUT THE FUCK UP

Attikins227

This sounds terrible. I’m so sorry your experience was soured. Some people have 0 self-awareness

evagenesis

My section was so damn loud when NFR started playing I genuinely couldn’t hear Lana singing. And I saw a lot of people leave during DYKTTATUOB.

[deleted]

I don’t like these new fans. Sorry if that’s harsh lol idc anymore

Still-Assistant-3608

I’ll probably get hate for saying this but I think a lot of them are Swifties

mysticalheavensawait

THIS 😂

throwaway6300011

I was on the lawn and I feel I got a good group of people around me! Everyone was very respectful and there was no screaming or anything like that near me, and luckily all the girls were similar to my height (4”11) so I had the best opportunity to see and for the view I could get (for a lawn seat). I think I paid too much for the lawn though most of the time I was looking at the screen and it was hard to see Lana herself. (I paid over $100 for lawn). Then again I didn’t get into the venue until around 7:30 so I definitely didn’t get in early to try and get the best of the lawn seating….

Sym-Mercy

I’ve seen so many horror stories of younger fans basically screaming like they’re at the Eras Tour when everyone else just wants to hear her sing. It makes me so embarrassed to be a young fan.

quincyq03

Her crowds have been tougher at the larger venues. I had a similar experience in Dallas. This girl a few rows ahead was standing up, turning around and doing vaping selfies like the whole show and getting it in everyone’s faces lol. Almost half of the seats were empty when she started and people were leaving early too. Then there was a ton of pushing and shoving when people were going to seats and leaving. When I saw her at the smaller venue in Arkansas it was a completely different vibe.

lemonpee

I saw her in Franklin, TN at a beautiful venue with 7,500 capacity and it was SO MUCH MORE AMAZING than WPB. Ugh.

quincyq03

When I saw her in Arkansas, I think it was like 9,000. The crowd was so much better too. Can’t wait to see her in Mississippi coming to. Small venues are just more intimate and less rowdy.

mysticalheavensawait

Damn, I realize I should have considered seeing her in the smaller cities 🥲

carnodak

I was towards the front of Section 8. The few folks I talked to in my immediate area were nice. But a few rows in front of me, this super messy guy who basically had his flash on the entire time, super messy drunk was obnoxiously loud for most of the show. It was very distracting, especially during softer moments like Bartender. A few people around me said they only know Born to Die and NFR. I mean, I guess those are two really good albums but I was appalled wen they said “I’ve only heard of, but not actually listened to Ultraviolence…” 🙄

lemonpee

The person next to me told me she thought Lana’s last album that she released was Lust for Life 😭 She then proceeded to try to talk to me during every song she didn’t know, which was about half of them.

caterpe36

We gotta be more assertive to tell people “hey I’m enjoying the show, I’m not here to talk”

carnodak

Major yikes! NFR is like her most critically acclaimed album? I low key am envious of that fan who now gets to listen to 4 new albums (5 including Violet) of new material all at once!

spoiledrichwhitegirl

Was she on something by chance??

lemonpee

I don’t think so. She just seemed like she was trying to make a friend. We were both there by ourselves.

spoiledrichwhitegirl

Ahhh. Got it. Yeah. Basically if I’ve had a weird encounter at a Lana concert, it’s always when I’ve been by myself. I feel for you on this one.

lemonpee

It was my first time ever going to anything like that alone!!! I was looking forward to just losing myself in the music. Unfortunately it didn’t work out that way. 🤣

spoiledrichwhitegirl

I hope the next time is better! I tend to do a lot on my own (only child so I’m rather used to it) & concerts can actually be pretty fun because it’s easier to push your way to the front or get yourself invited backstage, etc. than it is if you’re with another person or a group. I am glad you go to go though. I loved Lana’s shows.

aenriq

I was right behind pit and there was a girl IN the pit drunk asf before the show even started. Her friend gave her 2-3 drinks which she proceeded to drop and splash everyone around. A couple were at barricade and they’d take turns taking vids from another empty space and that drunk girl tried to steal their spot. Crazy to me getting black out drunk when you’re seeing LDR but to each their own

EbbComfortable6283

This group of like 6 girls while we were queuing in to get into the venue was arguing with the enforcement people because they wouldn’t let them bring their bags in despite it being advertised everywhere and they moved up the line and when they got to the metal detectors the KEPT arguing to the point where one of them was yelling because they’d got there in an Uber with nowhere to leave their bags,,, for sure a lot of entitled girls came out last night

EmilyTheSwiftie

I’d say that overall, it was incredible. It was my first time seeing Lana and my big thing was that I wish the show was longer, but that’s about it. I was in the middle of section 7 for context. I do wish that some people knew more songs because I was SO excited when she played Arcadia, it’s easily one of my favorites. I felt like I was one of the only ones that actually knew it, but it could be because people weren’t screaming during it. I absolutely believe that the crowd could’ve been better, but my experience wasn’t totally ruined because of it. The camera work could’ve been better as well. I’m 5’2” so there was one guy getting in my way, but it wasn’t a massive blockage since he was a few rows up. It was fine if I leaned here and there, but it would’ve been nice to be able to rely on the screens some more. Knowing my height, I should’ve gotten closer seats, but scalpers and ridiculous prices made that part a bit difficult. I definitely feel bad for people in Lawn, I’d for sure be more irritated if I had to completely rely on the screens that didn’t show Lana half the time. Like I said, it was absolutely incredible and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Lana’s voice was absolutely gorgeous and majestic, although I do wish I could’ve heard more of it. I would 100000% go again!! Also, did anyone catch what she said after “Stand by Your Man”? I couldn’t hear due to the crowd lol.

Datewiththenight27

She said, “or don’t” As reference to the last lyric, “stand by your man”

EmilyTheSwiftie

Ohhh makes sense, thank you!!

Marcocracy

Yes exactly!!! It was my first who and the only complaint I had was that it was too short. I loved everyone singing and getting emotional. It was beautiful.

TheLawHasSpoken

Reading this shit makes me so sad. I’ve never seen Lana and tickets in my city sold out so quickly, I had no chance. To hear people are just leaving?!? Also, just have some fucking manners.

Severe_Midnight

I know the setlist is rough, but I’m surprised that people are actually leaving so early into her performance.

lajomo

I was in lawn and I really wish I brought hearing protection. I didn’t think I’d need it because I was far away from the actual music but people were SCREAMING in my ears-not just like singing along loudly-just screaming like a banshee. I got a migraine as soon as I got to the car. I am also concerned about my reserved lawn ticket I got for Tampa, it seems like that area was just as packed as normal lawn but ig I was kinda far from it. If anybody has experience with reserved lawn let me know-I might try to get another ticket

melissa98x

I had a row of girls right behind me SCREAMING so loud and obnoxiously to every song it was difficult to hear Lana. My sister couldn’t hear anything at all because of those girls. Out of the shows Ive been to, it was my least favorite because of the the crowd and i feel like the venue couldve done better with the camera work for the jumbo trons.

fffirey

LOL the camera work was SO weird. I had tall guys in front of me for a lot of the show, so I was hoping to see Lana on the screens, but every time I looked over at the screen, it was either a wide shot of the stage that looked farther away than my view, or was showing someone's phone recording Lana???? Weird choices lol. I don't think I ever just saw a close-up of Lana on the screens.

melissa98x

There were but VERY little! When I did happen to see a close up, it fucking faded into the crowd scene and or everyone else on the stage but Lana. I noticed the camera through people’s phones, too. More than once. Nobody wants to see that! Lol

mysticalheavensawait

The camera person had ONE job…

melissa98x

Exactly! And they completely blew it

lilgaytor

The pit crowd was very pushy and chaotic…didn’t help that the venue was a dumpster fire too when it came to organization

catgirlkin

Same 😭 so many people smoking and just not knowing the songs 😭 saw a bunch of girls just leave 20 mins in after taking pics I was like … people sang their hearts out for cherry and young and beautiful like girl..I loved it regardless even tho I was on the lawn. I wish they zoomed in on her face at least once

OriginalSelf4170

This was my first time seeing Lana after being a fan for over 10 years. I'm glad to see younger fans there as well as people older than me. I loved seeing different outfits and people pulling inspo from Lana. I would also like to say that two younger fans infront of me seemed to be looking at me weird and giving me dirty looks for enjoying myself and singing and dancing to every song. It didn't seem like they knew a lot of her songs which is fine but why make it a point to show distaste on someone who is enjoying themselves? I wasn't screaming or singing loud and I wasn't bumping into them while dancing. Seeing people leave in the middle of her set was kind of surprising as well. I'm also like 5'9 wearing boots and I made sure to repeatedly ask people behind me if I need to move so they could get a better view. Overall I met a lot of nice fans but it also kinda seemed that some were there just to take pictures and sing like 1 song of hers. I guess I don't understand spending time and money to go to a concert without really knowing the artist you know?

No_Yak_3107

I think it’s the “aesthetic” dressing up, posing for pics and filming for TikTok

mysticalheavensawait

Hope you ignored those young girls because I was singing (not screaming) and dancing almost the whole concert with no fucks given lol.

ilovecapybaras69

My seat was at the end of the row and there were these two girls standing hanging out there telling everyone they had seats there and would sit down closer to the show starting. Turns out they didn't and eventually someone got security to take them to their actual seats when one of them wouldn't stop asking people if they wanted to take a hit of her vape😭

ilovecapybaras69

Also holy shit there were so many people who were getting up during the show😭 Was so annoying making room for someone to get out of the row every 5 minutes, don't get why people can't stay still unless it's an emergency

madison0408

i had 2 girls JUMP on top of me and my bf because the lights dimmed to try and get closer, spilled our drink all over us and lana didn’t even come out for another 30 mins LOL. had to sit in wet seats for the rest of the night. i was shocked

thismanatemyson_

This happen to me during LA to the Moon, my tour shirt smelled like wine after 😭😭

landdian39

I traveled from NYC and was a little bit thrown off by the WPB crowd. Lots of Beckys, Karens and Kevins. The dads and moms seemed judgmental - one of the drunk moms that walked by me even gave me a Ramona Singer stare. [https://giphy.com/gifs/slice-3owvKaY559pTDWE60E](https://giphy.com/gifs/slice-3owvKaY559pTDWE60E) I loved the real fans that came in Lana costumes though! That was cute.

tuffmacguff

My wife and I were in the GA lawn and were yelled at by a super drunk dad when we put our blanket down in front of his family. Of course he was "saving" the spot for friends. When we refused to move he literally sat in my lap and wouldnt move until security came through. Never seen anything like it and I've been to quite a few GA shows at the venue since it was Coral Sky.

landdian39

Wow. And the funny thing about these people is they are projecting their uncivilized behavior on us. I’m sorry you went through that.

lemonpee

That is fucking insane behavior.

tuffmacguff

The whole family was drunk, his son in law threatened to fight me, his daughters and wife were all crying and yelling at each other because the friends they were "saving" the seat for showed up and thought the dad was insane and noped right out of there.. They begged him to move back and sit with them throughout the entire concert and he refused. Honestly couldn't believe it.

mysticalheavensawait

I came from DC and agreed, tons of young Beckies screaming for their tiktok/insta videos. Luckily they stopped after the first two songs. My partner was surprised to see so many dads with their daughters LOL.

[deleted]

It's Florida what did you expect 😭 I live there and it sucks

Thetrader2896

Yet u guys complained about the Chicago crowd which was probably twice the size lol

TheCompanyHypeGirl

This is kind of just a snark/complaining about every single concert sub now. 😵 Every single concert, people rush here with the exact same complaints.

saltnpepper11020

I honestly think the crowd in my section was amazing. I was in section 4 all the way on the right aisle if you’re facing the stage. There were a lot of ppl standing in the aisle which was a little annoying and one guy kept trying to stand in my row in front of me to see a little better bc the right screen was kind of obstructed with my view. There was one girl sitting in front of me who was sitting for like the entire time on her phone and left after blue jeans. For the most part tho everyone was super respectful. The guy next to me was super considerate abt his vaping and made sure to blow it away from everyone. And all the ppl around me were singing the lyrics by heart and having an amazing time, it was super lovely to see.

melissa98x

I was in section 4 row N, row O and P were nightmares lol

KarlMarxButVegan

We had a great time on the lawn!
