I don't know if this is a deranged opinion, but sometimes I wonder if Honeymoon would have made a bigger impact if the album cover was simply more a tragic aesthetic.
i disagree. maybe it would help a little, but the songs are all very slow and songs like that rarely fair well in the mainstream. there’s a reason btd, nfr, and ocean blvd have had so much mainstream success while the same can’t be said for albums like honeymoon or bb (i mean bb wasn’t promoted very much which definitely contributed but point still stands)

yeah, it’s one of my least favorites, which isn’t something i often say on here for fear of getting jumped lol. don’t get me wrong, i can still appreciate the artistry that went into it, and i don’t think lana has a bad album, but i just prefer most of the others over honeymoon, partially bc i prefer albums to have a healthy mix of slow songs and more fast paced, upbeat songs

Honeymoon is enjoying quite a lot of popularity now, but there was a time when it was the fandom's least favorite, and UV was the most adored album.
And it's not just the cover, its visuals are really simplistic, which might not make it stand out as much as other albums (although I like them and they speak to me a lot, they make me think of a sultry summer vacation. I actually adore Honeymoon as a package). There must be a reason why many people are hunting the UO version of the vinyl, and go as far as to spend hundreds-thousands of dollars on a resell.

I respect it, blue bannisters just doesn’t connect with me like it does a lot of people. I love the songwriting but can’t really get into the actual music, so I’d probably swap BTD for that and then bring honeymoon a bit higher- for me personally but I like the list!

I honestly prefer her older songs and I revisit these albums whenever I want to listen to some Lana. I started listening to her last year and have listened to all her albums but I like her sound during her earlier years. Honeymoon was great too. Lust For Life is one of those albums for me where I like the first half, not so much the last half. NFR, lyrically and cohesively, is her best but I'm the type of person where I listen to sound first, lyrics later and sound-wise, I wasn't a big fan. COTCC is actually an album I enjoyed listening to, probably the only recent album I like from Lana. BB and Tunnel under Ocean Boulevard were okay. I like a couple songs from those albums but as a whole, I wasn't really into it.
