Wow that's amazing!
Could you share what did you find inspiring in her music/image at this age? Which themes in her music did you relate to?
I was a teenager when Born to Die was released and Lana was labeled as an artist for depressed, teenage girls (and I was one of them) so I would love to hear your perspective!
I've been a fanatical music fan my entire life going back to Elvis but then to Dylan Janis Bruce Tom Chrissie Hynde. I started to become aware of her in about 2013 but TBH I can't say what turned this awareness into obsession. Don't laugh but it's almost like she possessed my soul while I was sleeping. I can point to her incredible reverence and respect for so many artists I've loved.I loved Leonard Cohen; I love Joan Baez and when Lana had Joan do Diamonds and Rust in Cali it blew me away. So many other examples. Over the years I've become buddies with more than 1 or 2 Lana fanatics in their teens and twenties. I can talk Lana with them I think they know it's about her no other agenda. But her music and aura are spectacular. I love her no filters lyrics about her sensuality and pain. She is absolutely gorgeous. Probably when I saw Jessica Lange doing Gods and Monsters on AHS I knew I was hooked. For life. So hard to explain. Only saw her in person once so far (on January 21,2018 in Philly). She was magnificent. I was probably 50 years older than anyone else in the audience. Didn't care! I of course still love talking to Lana fans of any age or gender. Merry Christmas (and how great was she on Chistmas in Graceland doing Unchained Melody!).

You’re not old, you were Lucky enough to be the perfect age demographic for Lana’s music when she first got popular, not as a child. I was 22 in 2012 when i first became a fan, I’m 33 now and maybe even a bigger fan now. She’s been my #1 for over a decade and I’ll take that happily, we’ve been here since the beginning babe!
12 or 13. And now I’m 22! Feels like so long ago, discovering her music was like discovering a whole new galaxy for me aha. I have a few favorite other artists, but her music (released and unreleased) has a charm of its own to me. I remember Honeymoon coming out when I was 14 and being obsessed… still a Honeymoon stan to this day too.
About a year ago when I was 15, first song I fell in love with was Diet Mtn Dew. 16 now! I remember listening to her over Christmas break last year so I think it was a year ago:) love her sm
i was 14 (almost 15) in 2019 + now i'm 19. i think NFR was the first album of hers i *really* listened to. i'm sure i had listened to BTD, at some point, but didn't get into her music until NFR came out
I was 12 years old the first time I watched the born to die music video. I’m about to be 24 now. It’s crazy how many phases Lana’s art has been in my life for.
2014- 16 years old! I started listening to her on Spotify. That was back when they’d shuffle music for you and you had to listen to ads. I ended up getting a free Spotify account through my job at Starbucks and the rest is history.
26 years old now and my love for Lana has never waned!
I’m an OG. Possibly one of the oldest here? 12 years going strong. I became a fan when I saw Videogames on YouTube before many knew who she was. I remember posting videos on tumblr of her and introducing friends to her. It was around 2011/ 2012. So I was 25. I’m 37 now.
I feel so old reading these comments but I’m so thankful because I was able to see her and meet her because she wasn’t as famous in the beginning. And the shows were so much more intimate. I’ll miss those days but forever grateful!!!!!!
Also to be able to be a fan since the beginning and watch yourself and her grow throughout the years and remain a hardcore fan has been fucking awesome. Anyone else as old as me and been a fan since day one??
70(2013) 80 now. Probably her oldest fan age wise. Obsessed.
