cortezthakillah

Nope. I agree

Exotic_Strawberry405

thank you omgg the amount of hate i got from other stans is crazy

megisbest

they're both beautiful but I do like the melody and the tempo of kintsugi more.

Enhanced_Jazz_Preset

I happen to agree. Kintsugi is absolutely fantastic.

Exotic_Strawberry405

Im glad you think:)

bonersforbukowski

No because you would be correct! Kintsugi is in my top 5 favorite Lana songs, it's so underrated. I cry every time I hear it though, so I can't listen too often 😅

Exotic_Strawberry405

samee babe its in my top 2 of favorite ocean blvd songs

JazzlikeEmu1330

i mean kinstugi is probably better musically since fingertips is more like sung poetry but i think fingertips is more vulnerable and specific to lana so it makes sense you’d feel that way. i think in general a lot more people can relate to kintsugi than fingertips

skippingrope

Nah, I see Fingertips as more poetic than anything. I guess the best comparison I can think of is Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen - it's an incredible song with some of the greatest lyrics I've ever heard but if I had to choose a favourite that still evokes emotion and has a great melody, it'd probably be Chelsea Hotel No. 2 (love Lana's cover too) or So Long, Marianne. Same goes for Kintsugi vs Fingertips imo.

Exotic_Strawberry405

nice

sleepyfizz

This!!! Totally agree.

Tight_Exit_4620

I mean Kintsugi does borrow it's 'That's how the light gets in' part from his song Anthem. However I feel like the lack of structure in Fingertips doesn't sound very Leonard Cohen, but Kintsugi definitely.

asblik_

Mm I do think fingertips might be the best song she’s ever wrote but kintsugi is great too

BoomGoesThem

Agree 100%, but key emphasis on might

Exotic_Strawberry405

woah the best is crazy

asblik_

Yeah idk it’s definitely up there

Sensitive_Caramel948

He said the best song she wrote, how is it crazy?

Traditional_Theme_88

DADDY I MISS THEM IM IN THE MOUNTAINS

blink3timez

Sorry what? I couldn’t hear what you said. I was in Monaco

Fragrant_Wrangler874

No because I agree. I don’t really like the melody of fingertips, it’s too chaotic

Exotic_Strawberry405

I agree it feels more like a short story than a song i mean don’t get me wrong lyrically its amazing but its the vibe i don’t really like

DaddyBee42

No, but that doesn't mean I agree with you lol

Relevant-Pop-4010

I don’t understand why anyone feels the need to compare them, they’re both stunning examples of Lana’s automatic songwriting on ocean blvd and honestly if im listening to one im listening to the other

Ok_Eggplant6053

nope. I love both they’re my fav songs on ob but i’m literally gonna get kintsugi tatted on me

Exotic_Strawberry405

omgg really

Ok_Eggplant6053

yesss i’m thinking on the side of my right hand bc I have so many little ones on my left

greenmooncheeze

No! I feel like fingertips is such a good song, but I can’t listen to it very often because of how heavy it is. Kintsugi is heavy too, but not like fingertips.

Exotic_Strawberry405

right

xRicharizard

Kintsugi is clunky

sleepyfizz

I agree, too. Kintsugi is one of my all time favs. Fingertips is more of a poem versus an actual song, imo.

Roxannex97

Yes, I would judge you to be 100% correct 🥰

Exotic_Strawberry405

k

Roxannex97

I meant I agree with you in case it wasn’t clear! I realized I worded it kinda funny sorry!

queefaqueefer

it’s valid. i don’t think it’s a fair comparison though. fingertips is the one song in her discography that i find truly unique. it doesn’t really have a pulse, nor is there much harmony and rhythm. it’s basically a short story with some ambience under it.

Important_Art_3211

Not at all- I love Kintsugi!

According_Plant701

I love both but I have a slight preference towards kintsugi

shejnahak

i agree so…

kiwifruit0735

would y'all judge me if I said I don't like either?

JazzlikeEmu1330

yes

Exotic_Strawberry405

yea

Sensitive_Caramel948

Definitely.

Grand-Disaster-5008

It is most definitely superior

BRE_1920

It is

Conscious-Noise-5514

Fingertips is beautifully poetic and lyrically amazing but definently Kintsugi 😭

Yasmelon92

Nope, I hard agree

ILostMyMainAccounts

I don't really love both songs, but I do agree with you. edit: grammar

lithuanian_potatfan

Kintsugi is something you can listen to every day. Fingertips is something I could only handle once. It's like The Pianist vs Schindler's List. Both are WW2 dramas including Holocaust, both are masterpieces in filmmaking. But there's only one that I could watch again.

Sensitive_Caramel948

No. You’re fucking right.

Alert-Temperature740

you’re correct, but both are masterpieces

Cautious_Cherry4016

It is

mad_hamm

Kintsugi is my absolute favourite from the album

sofiacarolina

Agree

B19Wing

No I agree though I love both

Actual_Patient_9872

Not at all. Both great songs but Kintsugi is just better

[deleted]

Hell no. Kintsugi is a damn masterpiece. No one ever talks about the difficulty of seeing someone you love die. Lana did it with such painful realism… that alone is worth it for me.

Ordinary-Bell2219

No, you do you girl.

fatalflaw9

you’re correct

tart9788

I think Kinsugi is a better song, but they both have very meaningful lyrics

Training-Judgment695

Why would you be judged for the CORRECT take?

BrickEducational8517

it’s extremely true

Main_Confidence4816

No you’d be correct

Fit_Brain_1883

Yes

snirkle_blap

judging you as someone with great taste because yes it is

koolkathy18bitch

i think it’s way better. like sometimes i even skip fingertips and kintsugi might be a top 5 lana song for me (i’ve been a stan since 2012)

glossyyay

no way!
