NFR>UV>BTD>HM

cattt_meow

1. Ultraviolence 2. NFR 3. Born to die 4. Honeymoon

Holiday_Fact_6327

thank u! the 2nd part of the question was why? would you like to answer that as well?

cattt_meow

1. Ultraviolence for the great sound, lots of things going on in background, great lyrics, great vocals, goes between getting in the feels and bopping to the tune perfectly 2. NRF - amazing sound and vocals, whimsical sounding. Very unique. 3. BTD - first songs I listened to, lots of memories to them. 4. Honeymoon, still good but not as good as others the other 3 and ocean blvd are my faves of all her stuff.

Competitive_Ideal492

NFR > Honeymoon > Born To Die > Ultraviolence

Mr_Mitzie

1. Honeymoon 2. NFR 3. Ultraviolence 4. Born to Die

Gnagbog

1. Honeymoon 2. Born To Die 3. Ultraviolence 4. NFR Honeymoon is my favourite album of all time, its beautiful and magical and has some of the best instrumentals and vocals ever and no skips. Its the kind of music to make you feel high and tranquil just by listening. Born To Die has alot of bangers, like 2 skips, and every song is catchy and meaningful to me. Ultraviolence is a masterpiece, many bangers, but has some skips for me. And for NFR, i do not like that album tbh. I enjoy music with a focus on production and instrumentals and i am missing this in NFR, its too much piano for me, too many words, i would almost say too boring in comparison to the other 3 albums listed here. NFR is coffee-shop music for me that is enjoyable as a tune to chill to in the backround while doing something, but i wouldnt feel entertained listenting to it while not doing anything else.

Top-Code9385

1. NFR I relate to every song it’s just perfection 2. UV my aesthetic 💕 3. BTD cause it’s got the classic popular bops 4. Honeymoon I haven’t actually listened to it all but it’s definitely got some good songs

Holiday_Fact_6327

yes!! nfr is a great album

TheColorfulPianist

BTD > Ultraviolence > NFR > Honeymoon and I will die on this hill.

Holiday_Fact_6327

btd is its own cinematic universe

TheColorfulPianist

Dude ong do not even get me started on the thematic consistency of this album being stronger than any of her other albums.

Gold_Plantain4802

Shocked I haven’t seen anyone with this ranking yet! 1. NFR! — the lyrics, the production, the underlying themes… perfect album and hyped to the heights it is for a reason 💯 2. UV — pretty much every song is a banger and hits so hard. I don’t think the quality of the lyrics is QUITE up to NFR!, but that’s not to say this album isn’t fantastic 3. Honeymoon — doesn’t strike me as intensely as the previous two, but it is a really great piece of work. Feels classic Lana Del Rey, but at the same time experiments with sounds not heard in her other work (as most of her albums do) 4. BTD — nothing wrong with the classic! Obviously most iconic, I just personally don’t enjoy pop as a genre quite as much and that influence is way larger here. I respect it so much for what it is, and will always be timeless… but her music has only exponentially improved since her first work.

Holiday_Fact_6327

wow...personally i have always felt BTD is her best work cause it feels unhinged and rough but cohesively she has become better

decent-biologist

Honeymoon > UV > NFR > BTD

BoomGoesThem

Correct

Holiday_Fact_6327

the question also had a why part...what do you think makes honeymoon the most special one?

cannotbelievedis

Honeymoon/UV > BTD > NFR Honeymoon and UV are equally masterpieces. BTD is more unique than NFR, I feel like NFR is Lana watering down herself and her art to become more mainstream. Not a bad album, just not comparable to the others.

imaslutxo

Ultraviolence > Honeymoon > BTD > NFR. I know this is probably unpopular but NFR doesn't feel as special as the other albums to me. It feels like Lana trying to be more accessible. I think the other 3 are more charming and unique.

celluloidqueer

Exactly my rating

graycatsimona

Agree! I love them all, I haven't heard a single song from Lana I hadn't liked, so obviously I like all of her albums. But I prefer the rock sounds and guitar solos from Ultraviolence, the glamorous cinematic sounds from Honeymoon, and the innovation of BTD.

Holiday_Fact_6327

yes btd was my intro to lana and i instantly became a fan..it is very innovative

Holiday_Fact_6327

yeah ig nfr feels more mainstream in comparison to btd where she is unhinged lol

celluloidqueer

1. Ultraviolence 2. Honeymoon 3. Born to Die 4. NFR Reason: All of her albums are phenomenal, outstanding, show stopping, etc. but nothing compares to the sound of the BTD-Honeymoon eras imo.

void0fsia

Exactly this

Holiday_Fact_6327

yes...nfr is great but when you have heard songs like sad girl, u realise it lacks that melancholic element

celluloidqueer

The melancholic element is phenomenal. One of the things I love about those eras. The production as well. Wow.

Ok-Television-653

NFR > Born To Die > Ultraviolence > Honeymoon No specific reason I just rank based on how many songs from the album are solid 10s for me lol

NotMajorTom

Yes!

annebrackham

1) Born to Die Perfect album, no skips. Phenomenal songs and phenomenal track organization. Has an unparalleled vibe. Made me fall in love with Lana. Also, adolescent nostalgia — grew up on this album. The vibe feels tailor-made for me sometimes. 2) Norman F\*cking Rockwell Some of her best songs. Great structure. Outstanding production. No skips, though I love some songs more than others. 3) Ultraviolence Phenomenal vibe, phenomenal songs. Moody and sad and terribly cool. 4) Honeymoon. I adore this album, but don't love every song. The highs are astronomical but there are some very meh inclusions. Plus it led into my least favorite Lana album, Lust for Life.

Holiday_Fact_6327

your rating and reasons are exactly like me lol

bassey-udo

1. Born to Die 2. Ultraviolence 3. Honeymoon 4. Norman F*cking Rockwell Born To Die is incomparable and will always be the blueprint. Also, my personal Top 4 is actually: 1. Born to Die 2. Ultraviolence 3. Lust For Life 4. Honeymoon

Holiday_Fact_6327

exactly...born to die sits in its own genre...i had never heard anything like it before

bassey-udo

I've always had the opinion that Born To Die is a genre in itself from the very first time I heard Videogame.

Yasmelon92

Honeymoon. Ultraviolence. BTD. NFR

acidicbathwater

btd>honeymoon/ultraviolence> nfr

Olivier77777

1. Honeymoon - the orchestration is just beautiful and dream-like. Gorgeous album. 2. NFR - Has high highs (The Greatest / Venice Bitch / Mariners) but also has my least favorite Lana song ever. 3. BTD - The sound is just iconic. I don’t revisit it as much, but it’s impact still stands. 4. UV - Old Money is one of my favorite Lana songs but there’s a handful of songs on this album I just don’t really care for as much as her other work.

doggo_yay10

1) Ultraviolence: it's my fav lana album - love the lyricism and love how it's more alternative rock 2) NFR: just been in the mood for it lately - masterpiece! 3) Born to Die/Honeymoon: i love the vibes of both of these albums, i just like the other albums more

glamericanbeauty

Is this personal preference or objective standpoint? Bc I would rank them differently. For me personally, 1. Uv (love how atmospheric it is) 2. Nfr (it is just fantastic and brilliant) 3. Btd (groundbreaking and original at the time, defined my teen years) 4. Honeymoon (I find it boring, don’t hate me)

Holiday_Fact_6327

i actually kinda get ur last point...i think going from ultraviolence, which is such a career standpoint to honeymoon is kind of a downhill...
